Governor Mister Phes Posted March 3, 2007 Governor Posted March 3, 2007 Mister Phes of the Imperial Armada, you are asking for trouble. I'm not afraid to stand up to you, as a powerful figure. Not only will you taking a set you all ready own, you will waste perfect money on getting a new Armada Flagship, or ITP or your dream of owning every pirate set.Throw em' Overboard! :-P :skel1: X-O Excellent! A duel! Now, where's my dueling glove? I don't see how it would be a waste getting another Cross Bone Clipper since I've already got 3 Armada Flagships, so really I need a third Cross Bone Clipper to even the numbers up :-P Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 CC, Just so you know. If there's a pirate set in the future that i'd like on ebay and you want it too. I'm not going to stop bidding on it cause you'd want it too. Nothing personal. If i want it, i'll bid on it till it's close to BL price. P Quote

P You are quite lucky, I don't like this set so much CC, because I second what Mr Phred sais... Mr Tiber Quote
Landlubber Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 How are you going to know if it's someone here bidding on it? Besides, it's not us you have to worry about. It's the guys who are buying to resell again. The mothers who have no idea what it's worth and end up paying more than they have to in order to get it. It's the ebay fanatic who just must win at all costs, even though he could've bought cheaper elsewhere. Everyone here knows what the set is worth and wouldn't waste money paying for an overpriced set. Not to mention the postage. $20 to send to Australia? It would hardly wiegh a thing and there's no box so it could be packaged tight. Quote
Cutlass Cole Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 OKay, after the auction ended this thread has no point anymore... So I suggest we use this thread for telling you wouldn't like others to bid on a certain Item.... Who's with me?Mr Tiber That's what I said in the first post. |-/ Aye! Oh, when I read Your collections in that one thread, you had one out and one MISB.But, what would you do with 3 CBC's? 8-| How come LEGO never made a Pirate Ship that cost around 40 CSA$? You could also build up your Armada men. Not counting the Re-release of the Armada Flagship, if you got all sets with IA figures, you would get ten. *n* *n* *n* *n* *n* *n* *n* *n* A duel! You'd wouldn't last a minute! My GBA Jack sparrow has a cutluss, a revolver *sweet* :-P ;-) , a few shot gun's, X-O a stormtrooper gun and a shield, :skel1: and armor I can steal from a Samuri. X-D Frightened now? ;-) Quote

Nothing personal. If i want it, i'll bid on it till it's close to BL price. Nothing like some healthy competition! I wouldn't create a thread to tell everyone not to bid on a Cross Bone Clipper on eBay - that would only attract more attention to it. After all, there might be lurkers on this forum, and since lurkers are completely annoymous they may feel less compassionate towards outbidding the users here. Quote

Just imagine how angry someone would be if they really want to bid on this Cross Bone Clipper, but out of the kindness of their heart refrained from doing so as a favour to you. This demonstrates a valuable lesson: NEVER refrain from bidding on eBay auction out of sympathy for another, because that person may not end up bidding anyway. Quote
exo attack Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I believe Cole owes us an apology, As I would have bid for it, if cole hadn't wanted it so much. Quote
Landlubber Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 What a nitwit. That's sooooo funny. For those interested it went for $46 US. Heres a link Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 7, 2007 Governor Posted March 7, 2007 I believe Cole owes us an apology, As I would have bid for it, if cole hadn't wanted it so much. I don't think he owes anyone an apology as its up to the individual to decide whether they're going to bid or not. As I mentioned in my previous post you shouldn't refrain from bidding on auction out of sympathy for another, because this thread demonstrates how things may turn out. Its a competitive world and bringing an auction to everyone attention will most likely increase the number of bids, rather than reduce them. Quote

Heres a link You're a nitwit. :-P *sad* *sad* *sad* *sad* One thing mista Landlubber got right was the price.I have a tighter budget than any of you, don't try and say you don't. Coming from a person with no allowance or job ( I'm too young ). I perhaps say and apollogy too you RICH People. It's I have too much time on other things, how was I supposed too remember? And if you were watching the auction, you would see I didn't bid. I am hunting of somthing less-expensive now. Quote

exo attack Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 BTW, just last night a renagade runner ended on ebay.uk. I would have bought it, if I had enough, and I was looking to get an imperial soldier set anyway. And Cole, not ALL of us are rich. I also get no allowance ( or pocket money as its called here) AND I have NO job, so, you are not the only one. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 8, 2007 Governor Posted March 8, 2007 You're a nitwit. :-P *sad* *sad* *sad* *sad* One thing mista Landlubber got right was the price. I think we better cease with the derogatory name calling to prevent a textual slagging match. I have a tighter budget than any of you, don't try and say you don't. Coming from a person with no allowance or job ( I'm too young ). You can't really make that claim because you don't know the financial circumstances of the other users. There are plenty of younger users without sources of income so don't assume you're the only one. Exo Attack lasts post reaffirms this point. I perhaps say and apollogy too you RICH People. It's I have too much time on other things, how was I supposed too remember? You made the call you were going to bid on the auction, you never said you may be distracted by other things. eBay provides plenty of services that assist users to remember when auctions end, like notification Emails and even a toolbar with a window that pops up to tell how many hours or minutes till the auction ends. However, you do make yourself look quite foolish when you tell everyone not to bid on an auction and then forget to bid yourself. Its probably best to keep quiet about the auctions you want to bid on. And if you were watching the auction, you would see I didn't bid. I am hunting of somthing less-expensive now. We don't know your eBay user name so we can't see when you bid. Besides, if you bid in the last 5 seconds of the auction then we wouldn't know you bid until after it ended - which is no good to someone who is waiting around to see if you're going to bid or not. And if you were watching the auction, you would see I didn't bid. I am hunting of somthing less-expensive now. NOW you owe us an apollogy :-P . If you really wanted that bad, stick up a note on your monitor or something. I have no money now, as it was directed toward something else. No Job either, I'm only 15. I saved some money in what I call "The Box Fund"(don't ask why it's called that X-D ), in it I keep lot's of change(quarters, dimes, pennies, nickles, a dollar, and some Euro). Saving up is good. :capn: . Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted March 9, 2007 Governor Posted March 9, 2007 Given they're only starting prices I wouldn't say they're that cheap. It really depends on their final price before we can label them as "cheap". Quote

And I've been following these for quite a while and there don't seem to be alot of bidders. Mr Tiber Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 11, 2007 Governor Posted March 11, 2007 There never is a lot of bidders for European Pirate LEGO eBay auctions and I've been pointing this out for a couple of years. However, it seems none of the European users here take a advantage of it and I'm a complete loss as to why. Will you be bidding on these auctions Mr Tiber? Quote
