Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 17, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 17, 2007 Good luck with your house Mr B! Thanks! It will be a 2 year project. I guess that'll be limiting your posting abit? Not that that's bad mate, important things go first ;-) . Oh no, that won't have any influence on my posting. As you said, important things go first :-D Nice new avatar BTW! Tnx, I'm experimenting a bit with Paint Shop Pro. If I find a better background, I might change it again. Now it looks a bit too much like Norringtons avatar X-D Quote
Scouty Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Would that be a comment for his avatar, since I made it X-D . Your avatar is really nice. I like the texture of the flag in the background! Now, on topic. I'm also renovating my house so it can be sold so I can move to another city, what fun it will be for my Lego! G, there's dust all over them ;-( I gotta get them cleaned and put away! Thus, I have no money. I often find myself in a rollercoaster when buying things. If it was placed on a chart, it'd look like big bells. Well, I hope you get another deal soon Mr. Cole :capn: . Edit: Sorry, that's what happens when you press the reply button one to many times X-D . Quote

Capn Frank Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 ...Well then Phred, YOUR THE ONE with the super-huge ( completly awesome ) Dame du Wolf! I'm one of the lowest people is more like it, only Christmas and Birthdays I get sets, unless it's cheap. ... Why thank you Cutlass Cole for the comments on my frigate *sad* just to let you know, i've been collecting lego longer than you've been alive mate (20 years now). That's why i've got so many bricks. So please settle down. P Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 19, 2007 Governor Posted March 19, 2007 Cutlass Cole... Is there a paper run you could be doing every morning to earn a few extra dollars? I realise there aren't many jobs for people your age but there are some. So rather than moaning you're the only one here without any money perhaps you should be looking into your employment options. I remember when I was your age I used to water gardens of little old ladies every afternoon after school to get a few measily dollars to buy sets like Broadside's Brig and Shipwreck Island. Small sets I know, but that's all I could afford, yet still it was better than nothing at all. Quote
exo attack Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Yes, my dad let me bid on 6251 on ebay as my first pirate set, because I had been doing loads of work on the houe as in cleaning, which took a few days, but was really damn worth it. Here in The U.K., I think we are too young to do paper rounds at this age, you have to be 13 I think. I will ask my mother about it. Quote

I will ask my mother about it. It's 14 in my country. But I won't do a paper round. I don't know how they call this in English, but I think I'll be doing something in a supermarket to fill the stuff... I dunno know... But I've heard it pays well!! Mr Tiber Quote
Scouty Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I volunteer. What fun it is! Don't think they have paper routes any more in the United States for young lads. Certainly for grown men X-D . I don't know. What I've done, surpprisingly, is sold alot of lego. I think I would've sold pounds of Lego for at least 200-300$ worth. It sounds crazy, but it's true. Though, I don't recommend it. scippio Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I just came accross a BSB on ebay that I thoguht you guys might be interested in... http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-SET-6285-BLACK-SE...1QQcmdZViewItem it ends at noon may 28th... so lunchtime today. I'd bid on it myself but unfortunatly... no paypal or credit cards have I :( Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 28, 2007 Governor Posted May 28, 2007 Greetings Scippio! Thanks for bringing this auction to our attention but generally threads about a single auction don't usually succeed. Ah well. Welcome to the Pirate Forum! Quote
snefroe Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 what kinda annoys me more and more are the extra lines like "this is the most rare pirate set ever" and "extremely difficult to find these days"... Last week i saw some one saying about an M:tron space set "every classic space fan gives M:tron an A++"... hm... |-/ it's a way to trick people into bidding/buying and i respect that, but as a hardcore lego fan/collector i think it's crap... jamtf Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 it ends at noon may 28th... so lunchtime today.I'd bid on it myself but unfortunatly... no paypal or credit cards have I :( Is this perhaps a desperate attempt to attract attention for the auction in order to get outbid by Lego pirates fanatics after finding out you might fail to meet the seller's payment requirements and want to avoid negative feedback for not being able to complete the transaction? :S After all, you mentioned that you bid on the thing yourself and there is only one bid on this auction. And you wrote that you have no PayPal or credit card access. Fingers crossed someone else will take over. 8-( Quote

I just figured some of you guys might have been interested, thats all. :) Quote

You no longer require a credit card to use PayPal. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted May 28, 2007 Governor Posted May 28, 2007 I think that is one possible method, but the method I use is supplying PayPal with my bank account details and then it takes care of the rest. So when I want to pay I just click the "Pay with PayPal" option, login and press the "Pay" button and thats it! Quote

hans-thegreat Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I saw this ship two days ago...but it said that it ended in 20 minutes. Hmmm...... :-/ Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 29, 2007 Governor Posted May 29, 2007 Well it has ended now and the final price was US $152.50. Not bad for a used Black Seas Barracuda, its almost twice as much as I paid for the MISB Legend version a few years back. Quote
Island boy Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 (edited) :-D Has anybody seen any Islander sets on Ebay lately? ;-) Let me know if you do. :-D Edit Bonaparte: Added "Islander" to the above question (for those who don't know Islander boy). Edited June 20, 2007 by Mister Phes Quote
