Governor Mister Phes Posted October 29, 2006 Governor Posted October 29, 2006 I'd say that's a reasonable price. You'd expect to pay around $3.50 each for the troopers so $3.50 x 15 = $52.50 What kind of soldiers were they? Just troopers or were the commanders and Admirals as well? Admirals are usually a bit more expensive. Quote
Scouty Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Here's a pic of them Yeah 15 blue coat soldiers, though I think the just have the tri-corns and not the bigger hats. And an admiral, at least that's what the description says: "I've decided to sell my Lego, and these are the imperial soldiers and (some of the) accessories that were left after the sets were built. Included are 1 admiral and 15 other minifigures, 2 large imperial flags and 5 small imperial flags (with 2 lances and flag poles), map tile, 3 goblets, 6 backpacks, 12 black tri-corner hats, 1 admiral hat, 3 other hats, 4 shovels, 2 muskets, 2 pistols, 13 cutlasses, and 16 epaulettes." Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 29, 2006 Governor Posted October 29, 2006 So you got 16 mini-figures and all those accessories for $49? Quote
Scouty Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Err, just bought 16 more soldiers for about the same price. I think i'll stop bidding on stuff now :-D Ok, here is a picture of them Quote
jamtf Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 See this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/LEGO-PIRATE-SHIP-RED-B...1QQcmdZViewItem Looks like a modified and enlarged 6289 red beard runner to me. Quote
snefroe Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 hm... 700 dollars? a bit too much i should think Quote
Scouty Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 It's ridriculous. Eeeeh, not on my "to buy" list. It looks ok, but, quite expensive. Quote
Norrington Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 towards the bottom there's a spaniard walking the plank, and it's Phes! Quote
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Now, now, I think you're just seeing Phes everywhere ;) That minifig head is NOT Phes Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted December 30, 2006 Eurobricks Emperor Posted December 30, 2006 Ugly sails, not very realistic design with the arches on the deck. That rigging is done so *n* Not worth the money he's asking! Although I would accept it as a gift X-D Quote
Norrington Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Now, now, I think you're just seeing Phes everywhere ;)That minifig head is NOT Phes The head dosn't matter, look at the clothes! Plus, i think some did i pic of him and Phes having a truce and that's the head he used for Phes.... * I just remembered the fez is a type of hat :-P seriously... Makes you think. Quote
SkaForHire Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 The head dosn't matter, look at the clothes! Plus, i think some did i pic of him and Phes having a truce and that's the head he used for Phes....* I just remembered the fez is a type of hat :-P seriously... Makes you think. didn't we review this ship before, is it someone who used to post here that owned it? or was it an internet find... I know i have seen it before, i remember the drumstick cooker thing.... Phes, your the master of all piraty things, am I delirious or have we seen this one before? Maybe I saw it on lugnet... also , we should mount a counter attack and save phes from the plank! How dare this ebayer feed our fearless leader to the sharks! Quote
BearHeart Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I'd never pay that much money for that thing. Its a poor design an all those pieces are not worth $700 to me. *n* :skel1: Quote
Scouty Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 That isn't Phes! It's not his face! Sure he has the same armor, but those items can be multiplied! Phes is conquering some pirate ship now, the exact opposite of what is going on here :-P . Quote
jamtf Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 And why does the ship have (at least) 4 captains? I guess that those 3 with eyepatch are in this case not to be considered the most important men on the ship however, perhaps the Baron Von Barron one with the spyglass forcing the Spaniard to walk the plank is the real commander. Quote
Norro Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 My faviourite line in the description is: "this ship has working drumstick eating station"... Riggght.... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Norrington Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 THE DRUM STICK COOKER IS FROM THE VIKING LONG BOAT. Quote
El Bucanero Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Well, It is a very nice MOC, although the sails need to be changed and the masts have to be taller... I would NEVER sell a MOC like this, there are a lot of details and it could easily be converted to a decent, realistic good looking ship! I think the seller is in a very desperate need of money.... It's way to expensive.... didn't we review this ship before, is it someone who used to post here that owned it? or was it an internet find... I know i have seen it before, i remember the drumstick cooker thing.... Phes, your the master of all piraty things, am I delirious or have we seen this one before? Maybe I saw it on lugnet... I believe you mean this one also , we should mount a counter attack and save phes from the plank! How dare this ebayer feed our fearless leader to the sharks! Amen to that!!! However, that's not Phes' face... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 2, 2007 Governor Posted January 2, 2007 The head dosn't matter, look at the clothes! Plus, i think some did i pic of him and Phes having a truce and that's the head he used for Phes.... Norrington are you drunk? If you see two people wearing the same outfit that doesn't mean they're same person! I am confirming that is not me because I have never been on that ship in my life. You need to lay of the grog lad... We also need to upload pictures of this ship to a brickshelf folder otherwise we will only have access to them for as long as the eBay auction lasts - which is usually 90 days after it ends. Quote

I don't care for what it's done to people i know. Plus, i'm 18, you need to be 21 to drink legally in the U.S. Quote

Scouty Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Perhaps that is one of Phes' soldiers, but it's probably not. Anyway, is MisterPhes going to put the pictures in his BS or should somebody elsed do so? Quote
