Hinckley Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Thanks. The drum a drumsticks are fabuland peices. I think they came with one of the monkeys, though I'm not sure which set they came with. Yes! It's Hinckley's time to shine! Finally I get to put my Fabuland expert skills to use: You were right in both counts. Apparently only monkeys play drums. Pigs play the tuba and Rabbits play accordions in case you were wondering. Like I've said before Sir Nadroj, you are a very talented builder. I like this a lot, especially your attention to realistic details. I love the exposed brick and the spanish tile roof! *y* *y* Excellent job, thank you for sharing with us. Quote
ghoulrealm Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 This is an excelent moc. One of the best land based pirate/imperial mocs if not the best. The brick wall and tile roof are the highlights. The rock arch is a relatively simple but great addition. *y* My only negative critique would be to replace the cannons with official lego cannons if you had a choice. That being said, I didn't really notice until closer examination. Watch out! There is a starfish on the wall. It's gonna get you. X-D Quote
SirNadroj Posted July 29, 2007 Author Posted July 29, 2007 Thanks! Now that I look at the pics, Hinckley, the drums probably came with the first small set, considering I don't have any pigs. :-D And the reason I made my own cannons is because it was cheaper that real cannons, but I usually make my own cannons anyway. :) Quote
Norro Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Very good job the partially exposed bricks lego style (except with added sophistication) is a great concept. I also like the POC rock formation. God Bless, Nathan Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 7, 2007 Hey, look what's on the headlines of Classic-pirates ;-) Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 Oh boy, thanks! You made my day! :-D :) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 7, 2007 Governor Posted August 7, 2007 Hey, look what's on the headlines of Classic-pirates ;-) Yes, this MOC is very worthy of the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com! Not sure I like that picture though. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) Yes, this MOC is very worthy of the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com!Not sure I like that picture though. I know what you mean, it is a bit fuzzy. I already made it a bit brighter when I resized it. Maybe Sir Nadroj can try to take a sharper picture of the entire MOC and we can replace this one? Edited August 7, 2007 by Bonaparte Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) I didn't have any good canvas's to take the pictures on at the time of the MOC's completion. Good thing I took tons of pictures. I think they are all here if you want to change it: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=236621 EDIT: I'll see what I can do! Give me maybe 10 minutes, I'll take a good one! Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted August 7, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) I'll see what I can do! Give me maybe 10 minutes, I'll take a good one! Thanks! I'll update the picture on the frontpage as soon as you give me the sign in this thread. The problem with the current picture is with the focus. It is on the wall and not on the MOC. Taking a picture from a bigger distance might solve this "focus issue". Edited August 7, 2007 by Bonaparte Quote
SirNadroj Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) Here you go. I think the second one is best. As you can see, I've added the flags from the 'Krusty Krab' to give a nautical feel. Edited August 7, 2007 by SirNadroj Quote
El Bucanero Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) If I had too choose, I'd pick the first one. Because it's taken from below, they MOC is even looks bigger and more immpressive. These sharp pictures really do this masterpiece justice! Mr Tiber Edited August 7, 2007 by Mr Tiber Quote
