Posted February 15, 201510 yr Hello gents, in this topic we would discuss modding options to redesign the avengers age of Ultron Hulkbuster, i would advise all those who have the model and have already modded it to thoroughly describe the process. We advide to only use pieces from the set, but if you do have to use another piece, please do specify the piece number and colour so the rest of us can then purchase it if we wish to follow your steps. Furthermore i advise please not to be greedy, this topic is about sharing, so we can all have a good definitive hulkbuster. So please if you have a good design then don't hog the design.
February 15, 201510 yr - a normal Lego figure is 4 Lego heads high - Hulk is 7 Lego heads high - A hulkbuster should be just about 10 heads high Judging via the Lego head scale on the above image that makes the body around 5 heads with the legs and arms being 5 heads in length Edited February 15, 201510 yr by Scarilian
February 15, 201510 yr Author I agree, and i think the current hulkbuster needs to be a ton smaller seeing as how hulk is as big as hulkbusters legs
February 15, 201510 yr To be in scale with a minifigure, the Hulkbuster should be ~ 8 cm tall, or the height of two minifigs. To be in scale with the Hulk, the Hulkbuster should be ~ 9 cm tall. For reference, a minifigure is 4 cm tall and the Hulk is 7 cm. Edited February 15, 201510 yr by Sir Gareth
February 16, 201510 yr Scale images (Only image of a PNG hulkbuster that we have... so used that. Obviously the real head should be thinner and smaller) Edited February 16, 201510 yr by Scarilian
February 16, 201510 yr Author Looks good, what pieces can be used again for the new redesign? I think the head from the set of great, and maybe even the hands, but modded and without the stud shooters
February 19, 201510 yr I did find this (NOT MINE) https://www.flickr.c...07/15963642550/ which seems to be scaled correctly and could be used as a starting point or i guess a "learning point" to get ideas from Edited February 19, 201510 yr by Rabbidpanda48
February 22, 201510 yr Author I did find this (NOT MINE) https://www.flickr.c...07/15963642550/ which seems to be scaled correctly and could be used as a starting point or i guess a "learning point" to get ideas from Oh wow, that looks really good. Ross from MGFCustoms is also doing one, much like the rhino he had done last year, so we could take ideas from both of those.
February 23, 201510 yr Scale images The Hulkbuster in the right reminds me of Big Hero 6 Baymax in Iron Man design. Edited February 23, 201510 yr by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page. Thank you.
March 11, 20159 yr Came across this small scale hulkbuster. https://www.flickr.c...04/16551802588/ This is probably a limitation of the LEGO scale, but in most models I've seen the waist and hips are disproportionately small and sparse compared to the torso and head region. That Hulkbuster definitely needs a thicker waist. If I had the pieces, I would add another set of torso flaps that go down to the hips.
