PaddyBricksplitter Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 These builds are good but the photos don't do them justice. Especially since you clearly put so much effort into building them accurately. I don't think you need an expensive camera. I got a cheap light box my photo quality improved. It breaks up the incoming light which creates softer shadows on the subjects. Quote
darththeling Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Slow clap.... rising... standing ovation! Brilliant. A number of times I tried making bounty hunter ships from The Clone Wars... nothing I didn't junk afterwards. These are really terrific. Quote
woodnman412 Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Again, thank you for the comments :) They help justify the time and cost of the builds. I'm not much of a photographer but I was considering delving a bit deeper into the skill. I'm in the process of building Slave II and have one other on deck that I want to complete, then I may just have a professional do some shots for me. I uploaded the LDD files in case people wanted a better view. Edited February 27, 2015 by woodnman412 Quote

I uploaded the LDD files in case people wanted a better view. I'm no photographer either. I'm more interested in Lego than photography. I just use the smart settings on my camera. I You Tubed it this week to find out what light boxes do. I got a small light box and two little lights from Amazon. I think it's worth investing the time in looking at some techniques just to scratch the surface of photography. I put effort into making something good in Lego. I want the image I end up with to reflect that. But forget about paying a professional a few evenings online is all you need. Quote
Borex Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Woohoo looking good!! Well done sir!! I'm fan. Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 If you want you pictures to look nice, consider making an infinity sweep. It's really cheap (around $5) and looks great. I use it for my builds so they have a professional looking background. Quote
campbebj Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Just built the hounds tooth last night, was pretty cool, only issue was that when you pick it up the front and back try to come apart. Quote
n1majneb Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 These are all great builds, it seems the links are broken? Now we have Zuckuss I wouldn't mind making a ship of the bounty hunters rogues gallery Quote
