KirTech LAB Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) Hello All! I want to show my new snow off-road truck. The chassis based on the Arctic Equalizer’s one but I’ve modified transmission for better performance! The model has full snow protection! Total weight – 2650 g, dimensions – 40 x 31 x 18 cm, clearance – 4.8 cm. Outdoor test: Indoor test: The model has four RC functions: - Left and right tracks, 2 x 2 XL motors - Two-speed gearbox (1:1 and 1:3), M-motor - RC winch (12:20 + 1:24 + 1:2), M-motor As usual I place a few photos and still waiting for fresh snow… Thanks for watching! Splat Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I like this. Good work. I hope you get to take it out in the snow soon. Quote
braker23 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Impressive model, I love the double tracks, the high clearance, the gearbox and it's overall bulky look. I bet it will perform very well on snow, cannot wait to see the video :) Quote
KirTech LAB Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Thanks! I'll try to take movie in the forest this weekend. I have some worries about a bite between tracks and snow. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 WOW, I'm looking forward to fresh snow as well! Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Looks really good and the ground clearance is amazing. It should have no problems on any kind of snow! Quote
Rijkvv Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I have some worries about a bite between tracks and snow. It might be an idea to add liftarms to the tracks. Some other people did it with their snow vehicles to great effect. Quote
MacKaiwer Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Absolutely suberb looks and design I like it very much, good job Quote

Yes i know this technique! I use plates instead of liftarms for smooth running, but i think i should try both variants! Quote

ComMix Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hey looks great. Heavy and Sturdy. I liked the "Cave Expedition" in your Video very much. Quote
braker23 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Impressive performance on soft snow , shows it's got what ti takes, grats for this awesome MOC! But what did you use to make that cave? My Ice Mole has not tunneled through snow yet, and I doubt it will this year, so sad... Quote
KirTech LAB Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 But what did you use to make that cave? My Ice Mole has not tunneled through snow yet, and I doubt it will this year, so sad... :)))) I used "Brother"-class tunneler ))) Quote
zux Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I use four XL motors! Great! No wonder it crawls way better than my similar, but smaller moc with two L=motors. Quote
