Paul Boratko Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Looks good, but can it's looks upset the new assasin car by crowkillers? I've never really been crazy for Nathaniel kuipers mocs but this one might reflect a new perception for me on him. I think his new supercar is better than mine... He has done some really unique things with it... Everyone will be pleasantly surprised... Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I think his new supercar is better than mine... He has done some really unique things with it... Everyone will be pleasantly surprised... Not everyone likes cars.... I do hope he makes some construction machinery soon. Quote

Epic Technic Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Can it... can it fly? Maybe it... Maybe it has a self destruct button.... NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry3: Quote
Lipko Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 3/3 means we only have to wait two days? That's doable. Some time I want to design a custom Lego supercar. Quote
Rishab N Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Some time I want to design a custom Lego supercar. I'd love to see another car from you. Your Audi and V12 Coupe both look great Quote
Paul Boratko Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Not everyone likes cars.... I do hope he makes some construction machinery soon. Seriously, WTF does that have to do with this thread...? Did it ever dawn on you that maybe cars are what some people like to build..? Should guys like Designer Han start building cars now because he has built so many construction vehicles..? Or guys like Anio that like to build Star Wars stuff start building Bat Man stuff..? Maybe everyone doesn't like cars, but the majority do considering that cars are a way of life for just about everyone in the world and there is a huge fascination with cars otherwise there wouldn't be 10's of thousands of car shows held around the globe annually... jorgeopesi Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 The thread is good and we like it, your love for cars is like our love for machinery but we are less people... less people very stronger... . I also want to see the MOC but to see what techniques can be useful, you never know when I will do another car... . Quote
Meatman Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Only one more day to wait. Not everyone likes cars.... I do hope he makes some construction machinery soon. You just love trolling Paul's threads don't you? Quote

Jeroen Ottens Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 First impression: clean & crisp design, inventive part usage (those propellor pieces !), very nice colourscheme. Of course the innovative vertical gearbox shown earlier. The 42039 was mentioned in the first post of this thread and the similarities extend to the looks as well in my opinion. It is a rather square car, with straight sides and almost straight front & rear looks. Nate tried to make a visual striking supercar and he certainly achieved that, but I am not sold immediately, I think I like curves a bit too much... It is a model that Lego could have made. Quote
Anio Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I already had seen it... But hell... I am about to cry... It just looks so nice, everything is so carefully built... Quote
Rikus Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Will there be a video of this beauty? According to NK site, building instructions will come later on! Edited March 3, 2015 by Rikus Quote
JGW3000 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Wow, just fabulous; waiting for parts list and BI - I'm guessing 2100 parts??? I really enjoyed reading the detailed description in the website (http://nkubate.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=67:predator-supercar&Itemid=566), great to have this kind of background details, makes me appreciate the model even more. In text write-up, it says "The only disadvantage is that the wheel scrub is quite large with this configuration" what is wheel scrub? Quote
Rikus Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) In text write-up, it says "The only disadvantage is that the wheel scrub is quite large with this configuration" what is wheel scrub? I suppose he refers to scrub radius http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrub_radius Edited March 3, 2015 by Rikus Quote
Kumbbl Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Just wow  :wub_drool: :wub_drool: Unique technics (vertical remote gearbox), outstanding look, clean design - i'm quite sure building will be a pleasure and jaw-dropper... Conclusion: Another masterpiece from the master himself - Paul (crowkiller), let me cite one remark from your webpage: "...and while some may disagree with me, in my opinion, he is the best LEGO® designer on the planet." (from here - scroll to the end: http://www.crowkillers.com/story.php) - and because this is said from another master in lego-car-buildung/designing this remark has IMO a heavy weight. And despite the fact, that there are some really highly talented MOCer outside i wouldn't disagree but i would second Pauls estimation and judgement. This predator is a really valid successor of NKs outstanding concept car (not concerning feature-count but concerning design-elegance), the Ninja supercar, the GT-supercar (both build from 8458+8466) and some other official models... (BTW: all of them are strongly recommend to build for each techic lover)... BTW: This is the supercar i have expected from TLG herself for years... Together with Jeroens Alfa (winner of TC6) my current supercar favorite with a small winning margin of the Predator..... I will buy the instructions regardless of the price... hopefully NK doesn't read this ;-) PS. I recommend every lego fan, to build Nates C-modell of the creator set 4099 - an sheer brilliant transformer between a robot and a jet - its not technic but IMHO it shows best the incredible design talent of NK ... Meatman Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Ok, this is a really great model. The picture quality is just as amazing as the model itself(Although some of the angles of the pictures make the car to appear a little awkward or disproportioned) The rear looks gorgeous, the front looks very good(reminded me a bit of Jurgen's Koenigsegg) The side view is good, but I am not feeling the flow so much with the angles of the panels. Maybe it is due to the length, I am not sure. I tool like the use of the helicopter blades for air intakes, never seen that technique used before. I would have liked to see Nathanael maybe take a few more chances with the panel work and possibly come up with something new. Regardless of my small critiques, this is a very solid model and without a doubt a must build. Paul, I would also like to commend you for creating a thread like this showing respect for another great builder and showcasing their work. This is something very rarely seen here at eurobricks. dougstar Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) well it looks even better that i thought i would be. the use of the propeller blade as an air vent is real out the box thinking Edited March 3, 2015 by dougstar Quote
