Alasdair Ryan Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Paul, I would also like to commend you for creating a thread like this showing respect for another great builder and showcasing their work. This is something very rarely seen here at eurobricks. I suggest you go on Google and search for "Dluders site:www.eurobricks.com". Ok, this is a really great model. The picture quality is just as amazing as the model itself(Although some of the angles of the pictures make the car to appear a little awkward or disproportioned) The rear looks gorgeous, the front looks very good(reminded me a bit of Jurgen's Koenigsegg) The side view is good, but I am not feeling the flow so much with the angles of the panels. Maybe it is due to the length, I am not sure. I tool like the use of the helicopter blades for air intakes, never seen that technique used before. I would have liked to see Nathanael maybe take a few more chances with the panel work and possibly come up with something new. Regardless of my small critiques, this is a very solid model and without a doubt a must build. I will agree with you that the sides of the car are a little bit too square and plain. The front, back and top looks really nice and well thought out. Edited March 3, 2015 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Meatman Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) I suggest you go on Google and search for "Dluders site:www.eurobricks.com". What do you mean? I didn't know Dluders was a well known builder. Edited March 3, 2015 by Meatman Quote
Paul Boratko Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 What do you mean? I didn't know Dluders was a well known builder. Your comment went way over Alasdair's head... Don't pay him any attention... Quote
D3K Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Looks great! Some of the best/cleanest panel work I have ever seen Quote
Rishab N Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Definitely worth the wait. It looks like a Koeingsegg or a Gumpert. I love the use of the helicopter blades and the overall looks of the car look very solid. The only things I don't like are the front headlights and the color scheme. I know its good that its not the cliche red, but I just don't like the orange and white together. The underside also looks very good due to its smoothness and no gears showing. At first when I saw the car, I thought it looked too square, but after looking at it for a while it doesn't seem that way anymore. Also impressed by how subtly the gears for the doors are placed. I didn't see them for a bit. Overall amazing job and it definitely lived up to expectations Quote
nerdsforprez Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 *sigh* Lots of work hours lost today looking at this MOC........ .....i'll be taking work home with me tonight. Thanks a lot Kuipers....... Quote
jono rocky Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Absolutely stunning. An awesome design hiding the gears. Its very sleek and the white and orange color scheme is fantastic, The contours look like a koenigsegg agera r and the new Austin Martin GT 3 ran into each other to get one completely awesome car. I think it might of been asked but the dumb question is are there in instructions cause this ones a must? Quote
jantjeuh Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Lovely car :) I immediately also was reminded of a Koenigsegg. Quote
DamonMM2000 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Looks very clean! This has got to be my favorite car of his. Quote
MacKaiwer Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 It's stunning! I will build it someday and I think one organ donor for some panels will be my 42025 B model (aka Hovercraft). Now just waiting for instructions and parts list. Quote
fourlord Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Awesome engineering (steering, gearbox, engine...), looks not so appealing to my eye. Overall very nice model, kudos Nat. Edited March 4, 2015 by fourlord Quote
jantjeuh Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) I've almost finished building this beauty, and I can already say that this is easily the best MOC I've ever built (and I've built a lot!). The car itself obviously looks amazing (the pictures don't do it justice, you have to see it in 'real life'), but more importantly the quality of its design is unbelievable. The only one to even slightly come close to achieving this level of perfection in design is Madoca, IMO. Not a single part is needlessly used, every feature is stunningly implemented (especially the gearbox and front axle are technical marvels to behold), there are plenty of novel and very clever tricks used, and it's simply all-in-all an absolute joy to build. A must-build for every Technic fan. The bar for supercar MOCs, or even Technic MOCs in general, has been raised spectacularly! P.S.: If TLG ever started a Technic UCS series, this car should be the first one in it. Brilliant work by Nathanaël, truly. Major kudos. Edited March 31, 2015 by jantjeuh Quote
ifilin Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Can't wait for instruction and parts list. :) Quote

Anio Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Got it too. By far the best super car ever. Forget 8880... Quote
jantjeuh Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 8880 is downright primitive compared to this marvel of engineering Quote

Meatman Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) You guys got more excited then ever to build this now. When are the instructions being released? Well, more or less every supercar is, now. The gearbox is a major step forward... Judging by the chassis pictures, I would say a step "upwards" Edited March 31, 2015 by Meatman Quote
Blakbird Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Besides the fact that it is vertical and uses the new parts, I think the interesting thing about the gearbox is the mechanism that links it to the shift lever in the cabin. Quote

I hope that someday I can learn to build something of this high quality... Edited March 31, 2015 by Paul Boratko Quote
Jay Psi Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 You guys have got me so excited that I've just bought Nathaniel's 42000 C-Model instructions to tide myself over... With all the innovative features and techniques it sounds like this model is going to be a revolution in LEGO supercars. Quote
