Jurss Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 I'm also with Technics littlebit more than year, and this is the best compliment, i'v ever got. Quote
LegoCube Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Any updates? I think the X-Bow is perfect for Technic :) Quote
Jurss Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 No. Somehow stucked again. Was building some fast ideas, and somehow can't get inspiration to continue with this. I sat some half an hour yesterday, and coudn't make any progress. Quote
LegoCube Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) I know the feeling... Mind sharing what you are struggling with? I personally have purchased several Creator sets. It is time to go back to basics :) Also I find the limitations with the Technic panels frustrating at times. Time to learn how to add some studded elements to the mix :) Edited August 27, 2015 by LegoCube Quote
Technic Jim Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 @LegoCube I also find the lego panels infuriating to use but I persevere because technic is what I do best (although not bodywork, I just can't seem to nail it) Quote
Jurss Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 It's back again! This time i made best back, because motor, battery pack (as exhaust), fake engine - everything is there - pretty compact. Maybe there's even space for some gearbox. At this moment i satisfied with progress. Quote
vvman Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I really, really hope that you can finish it, looks great with the orange color, and besides - I have seen one IRL so having some instructions would make me very happy (it's one of my favourite cars) Quote
flyboy01 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 good luck with it, if it gets completed, it goes to the top of my building list. Quote
Jurss Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 As this is some 3d or 4th attempt, who knows, how much attempts it will took, to finish it. But with each attepmt, i find some new solutions to parts of it, where i stucked previosly. Quote
Jurss Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Some small progress Need to move rear axle closer to front, so that rear panels fit better Quote
Technic Jim Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 It is starting to look really good and a bit recognisable! Good work Quote
Jurss Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Wheels too big, car too wide, wheelbase too short ... Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 So... time for the next attempt. Building MOC's is just like writing books (or any form of creative art for that matter): 5% inspiration and 95% transpiration Quote
JamesJT Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Don't worry about starting again, this gets better every new evolution. Based on 10.2 stud wheels, (I think) your wheelbase should be 41 studs with a total width of 24. Top of the roll bar should be 20 studs from the ground. What dimensions does it have now? Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 it get's better every time, hope this time it's the one where it gets finished, can't wait for the full moc Quote
Jonfensu Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Are you using the 42000 tyres? Maybe the ones that come with 42039 will 'work' better in the current proportion, unless you decide rebuild the chassis and still use the 42000 tyres. BTW Your MOC is looking great. Quote
Jurss Posted February 22, 2016 Author Posted February 22, 2016 Yes, tyres from 42039 would fit better by size, these from 42000 looks better. Based on 10.2 stud wheels, (I think) your wheelbase should be 41 studs with a total width of 24. Top of the roll bar should be 20 studs from the ground. What dimensions does it have now? That's why I wrote, that wheelbase too short etc. If I want smooth design, using nicely 5x11 panels, then i need smaller tyres. And then again, for front part and tyres 42000 proportions are OK, but for that back part, those panels are too short. And I don't like those from LeMans racer, because they are too thin. I'm afraid, that this version will be dissasambled again, and after some time will be restarted. Maybe i could try tyres from 42041 Quote
Raj_UK Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Any updates on this ? I'd love a Lego one to go with the one I have in my garage If you need any pics to base your model off, just let me know :) Quote
Jurss Posted August 13, 2016 Author Posted August 13, 2016 As there's no new contest, I'm back to it. This time different start (scaling) and smaller size (race truck size wheels) Quote
KamalMYafi Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Great to see you will continued this project! Quote
Jurss Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Have to finish this, before moving to TC10. I hope, I'm over the hardest part. Yes, it won't be exact model (but still in scale), but pretty recognizable, I hope. Current status Quote
