Posted February 27, 20159 yr After seeing all the awesome SW dioramas on here i decided to give it a try. My last few MOCs were large ships and it was actually really challenging for me to build something using bricks to simulate a harsh distant world environment. In the SW EU or Legacy as Disney would like to call it, Dathomir is the native homeworld of the mighty Rancor species. I included several images that I used for ideas and inspiration in the thread. February 27, 20159 yr Yes what a nice Moc. And finally something other as Tatooine or Hoth. I like creations never built before. Great scene where Jabba´s people ( i think they´re!) chase a Rancor. And the environment looks perfect. Edited February 27, 20159 yr by Gerechtigkeitsliga
February 27, 20159 yr WOW, I'm blown away! I love these Skulls on the cave, you really captured the feel of Dathomir well in this MOC.
February 27, 20159 yr That's a serious rancor hunt! Brilliant cave and perfect details. I rwally like these black plants - along with bones and skeleton parts it really gives the impression of death.
February 27, 20159 yr Woah! This is awesome! And it's huge! You managed to emulate the rock structure perfectly! I love the black plants and dark tan ground, as it gives it a very sinister look. The back entrance is a nice little touch, but I don't think it really fits a cave. That being said, the inside of the cave looks fantastic, with all the scattered bones. Overall, this is just a fantastic MOC! I can't wait to see what's next!
February 27, 20159 yr Oh my! I can feel the mood of Dathomir by looking at your MOC. Congratulations! How about some shots under different lighting to emphasis that mood? light is everything...
February 27, 20159 yr That is a really cool MOC. I get some Jurassic Park vibes and some King Kong too. I love the bones and the thorn tree, plus the struggle to contain the roped Rancor. Great feel to this MOC and it is a fantastic subject too, nice to see a different subject tackled.
February 27, 20159 yr Nice landscape, a lot of details in the rocks and trees. You got a lot of rancors.
February 27, 20159 yr Fantastic! The MOC looks so great! Stunning work on the rocks and the complete MOC are so authentic and build with so many nice details. Well done markus
March 2, 20159 yr Looks spooky! Nice work getting the rocky feel, and the skulls are fantastic. The bones laying around and the dead-looking trees really add some great detail.
March 4, 20159 yr That looks amazing! I couldn't ever build something as good and as detailed as that! I think Rancors are awesome, and you did a great job re-creating part of their home planet in Lego! ;)
March 5, 20159 yr The rockwork, especially the skull, look really good. The one large black tree in the back looks amazing. The blurry photos are a bit unfortunate, though. Great build!
March 5, 20159 yr Great scene. I think those guys are going to regret their choice of jobs when the Rancor's buddies emerge from the cave.
March 5, 20159 yr This is absolutely fantastic! As a big fan of the original EU (the books) it is amazing to see something like this come to life!
March 19, 20159 yr Amazing amount of detail. It takes a long time to soak it all up. I especially love the technique you used to suggest tiny rolling sand dunes. Just wonderful!
