Posted February 27, 201510 yr I've just started making POV Ray renders of minifigs and since LDD doesn't have all the minifig decorations, I'm editing the lxfml file to map decorations to things like Stormtrooper helmets. If I want to change a minifig face, at present, I have to create a new non extended mode LDD design, add the minifig face I like, export that file to a lxfml, then make a note of the face decoration ID. I then have to open the lxfml file of the model I actually want to alter and enter the decoration id. To speed this up, is there a list anywhere of all the default standard official LEGO minifig decorations with a thumbnail of their appearance next to their decoration ID?
February 27, 201510 yr I think this topic belongs in the LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools forum. Moving now.
February 27, 201510 yr I'm not a LDD2Powray expert, but the software allow to replace decorations "on the fly". Maybe you have not to follow the long procedure you listed above. PS: Obtain that list is not easy, because the files are contained in the db.lif file of LDD and open it is a violation of the LDD EULA. Maybe some software with a "Trial and error" method have obtained a complete list, but I'm not up to date. Maybe superkalle received a complete list from the LDD team he has contact with.
