I meant to point that out as well. I would expect a certain reaction from Sammy about that too though I haven't had time to check if he's logged in yet or not.

Well it doesn't change the basic equation: Simon is likely Oak, I know I'm Oak, Lassie is trusted most likely because she has a verifiable claim. That leaves Adelaide and Sue, one of them is the SK and the other is Maple, unless Maples have two killers and there is no SK. Between the two I think Adelaide is more likely Maple than SK, so that's where my vote stands. Perhaps the SK claim was a sting, perhaps it was an actual call for help disguised as a sting, we'll see tomorrow.

I'm so glad we cross-posted. You registered exactly zero surprise that Adelaide was planning a sting and is supposedly not the SK. :sceptic: I think that's the final nail in your coffin, buddy. Sorry. :cry_sad: I still love you!

I expect stings all the time, and you know it.

Yours. Going straight to the thread instead of trying to find out more information.

Bah, you would have used anything to support your case against me anyway. There's no way to win this.

I don't want to risk a no-lynch so I'm inclined to leave the vote where it is and lynch Sammy tomorrow, if there is a tomorrow.

Good idea. Fingers crossed.

I agree that this is the best course of action.

Her first reaction to me in private was that Sammy responded the war he thought any Oak would. But then considered that I was right about the timing. I have more thought about this strange event but I'm on the train and afraid I'll lose my signal.

I might not have explained it well, but my implication was that Sammy is experienced enough to try the (bare minimum) oaky thing after receiving my message. In the sentence immediately after, I agreed with your interpretation and pointed out things that niggled me too.

So, Adelaide accuses Sue all morning and votes for her. Then, when she realizes the collective conscience of the stumps is that Sue is SK and if there's another Scum, it's Sammy, he plans the sting operation.

I did find Sue suspicious, and since she's likely to be the SK, I was right to be. However, I think an investigation result should take priority.

And I trust Lassie most of anyone non-stumped but why does Adelaide? If he was a Townie trying to figure out the last Scum wouldn't he cover all bases?

If you and the stumps have reason to trust her, I'm inclined to believe she is confirmed in some way. If I delved deeper into it, I'm sure you'd accuse me of fishing.

Lastly, he has ominously told me that I need to use the vig kill tonight or "we" will lose. Then he fished for the existence of a protector or blocker. :screptic:

No, that wasn't fishing. I said we needed a protector or blocker to survive if I'm to die tonight. If the town is to win, we will need two oaks remaining tomorrow. The vig can only kill one person, which means either the maple or the SK will remain. Unless for whatever reason, the maple targets the SK or the SK targets the maple. If we don't use the vig tonight, the only chance we'll have of winning is if the SK and the maple both kill each other, which is HIGHLY unlikely.

I don't want to risk a no-lynch so I'm inclined to leave the vote where it is and lynch Sammy tomorrow, if there is a tomorrow.

It's not exactly a monumental task to switch the vote over. You just need one other person to switch over to Sammy to get a lynch.

:sing: Stumps!!! What do you think of this new revelation?

We knew it was being planned. It was purely to gauge Sammy's reaction.

"Unfortunately" and "only" because as I had mentioned before, lynching the SK is not good enough.

Not good enough? If there are two scum and the SK is lynched, we lose!

You don't understand my position. In order to avoid the lynch, she obviously needed more than my unvote. She had to convince someone else to unvote as well. What is the best way to achieve that? Find a way to incriminate me and have the whole town switch their votes. Had I shown too much interest in her scheme, I'm sure she wouldn't have hesitated to go public with it. She didn't need my unvote, she needed all of yours. Adelaide did mention she might be able to make Simon switch, and if I had changed my vote I'm pretty sure how that would have been perceived by the rest of the forest.

Hmm.....

Vanilla townies need to be willing to take risks. His focus on his own neck is further suspect.

If we lynch a townie, we lose. Townies should be trying to save their own necks.

Lastly, he has ominously told me that I need to use the vig kill tonight or "we" will lose. Then he fished for the existence of a protector or blocker.

Suspicious behaviour.

For your information, Lassie claimed Vanilla Townie. She's no more trusted than any of you.

Waldorf, is there any reason for n7019 SUXT Claudio at this point?

Definitely. 100%.

Nope. Look at the post above, I've explained why we need a vig kill and probably an antikill action tonight. Do you really think I was expecting Simon to confirm or deny whether we still had those actions? I'm sure I've been over this in a few of the earlier days.

And why would I fish when the stumps are so happy to reveal vanillas? If lassie isn't confirmed in any way, that's too bad.

Voting Update:

Addelaide Apple (TinyPiesRUs) - 4 (Bob, fhomess, Hinckley, Fugazi)

Sammy Sycamore (Fugazi) - 1 (TinyPiesRUs)

There is 1 Hour left in Day 7. It takes 3 votes to lynch.

(Continued) but that's not the impression I've been getting throughout the day. If she is scum, that's on Simon and the stumps, not me.

The vig needs to not kill tonight. If they kill a townie, town loses. If the vig no kills, it is possible that town could survive to tomorrow.

This is all a game of WIFOM, my dear apple. How do you know that Lassie is who she claims? How do you know that what Lassie claims is what I say she has claimed?

My point is that he's not concerned with finding Scum. He's only defending himself. That's not Town play.

Definitely. 100%.

Gotcha.

Sheesh, I get it. You put it in the codes, I understood. :hmpf: The vig won't kill tonight.

Her behavior has cleared her. After reading the days several times, I can see it. I can't remember the specifics right now but there are things she has done that a Maple wouldn't do.

That does freak me out, though. I trust her the most...but if she wins then she played well. You and Sammy, on the other hand, have been really Scummy. It's hard to trust you when you behave like Scum every time you post.

Sue worries me too because she's the only player who hasn't talked to me by PM at all. But I agree with the analysis of her votes from Lassie and the stumps. God, I hope we got this right. :cry_sad: May God have mercy on our souls. If Lassie and Sue are Scum, then I suck at this game. :hmpf_bad:

Stumps, that was n7019 SUXT Claudio. Not 2 OBVS. :cry_sad: I hope we are all reunited in the winner's circle!

:look: My stomach is literally dropping as the day is ending. I so don't want to megabluck this up. Either way, it's been really fun. :cry_sad:

Voting has ended for Day 7. With 4 votes, the few trees still standing think that Adelaide Apple is a Maple.

Meanwhile in the logger's camp, the humans get ready for the night's work. Mr Big Chief breaks out the grinding wheel to give his axe a nice, sharp edge. Walter replaces the chain on his chainsaw, while Burt and Ernie double sharpen their saw while sitting in the grass.

You have 24 hours to submit your Night Actions.
