ComMix Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hi Everyone! Here's my first MOD/MOC. The 42037 Formula Off Roader in an RC Version. Powered by an XL-Motor with standard BatteryBox an use of the SBrick to control it. Trying to get close to the Original one. Front Axle nearly 100% original Design SBrick in between Driver Seat and Fake Engine wich is sadly not working XL-Motor in the back of Driver Seat. Hope you like it! Quote
miguev Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Looks good! How about an L motor for drive? Gotta be stable on turns with that battery box in the belly :) Quote
Freekysch Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Looks great, I admire the fact that you integrated so well the motors. Very very nice MOC ! Quote
ComMix Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Fun! Can't wait to see it in motion. I will shoot a short Movie soon! Looks good! How about an L motor for drive? Gotta be stable on turns with that battery box in the belly :) Sadly i dont't have one handy right now, but will give it a try. For now it is more a Crawler then a Formula Racer But i fear one L will not be enough. The Model is quite heavy. Looks great, I admire the fact that you integrated so well the motors. Very very nice MOC ! Thank you for your kind words! Quote
pzh2000 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Here is my modification for 42037, it's quite simple(sorry, i dont know how add pictures here). Edited March 5, 2015 by pzh2000 Quote
weavil Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 That is not heavy. The car I made is heavy and ran on 2 M motors. I looked at http://www.philohome.com/pfrec/pfcurves.htm and 2 M motors equaled a L motor. I was surprised my car worked. So the L motor will work, If you get one. Quote
Coola1 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Good job, didnt think anyone would be able to clear up enough space to make 42037 fully rc! I really want to see how it drives, I'd say it has decent offroad performance, if you want even better offroading get rid of the differential. Edited March 5, 2015 by Coola1 Quote
Matthewslegotechnics Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 nice model! Do you have instruction? Now I put the XL motor in the rear! I follow your pictures! Quote
