conductorjoe Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 (edited) http://www.youbrick.com/ Not a bad site design, but did they really have to ruin it with the YouTube ripoff? Most of the feedback I have seen at my own forum on this is negative. I doubt this will be a real competitor to Brickshelf. I myself am still hoping that BrickImage.net will be the one LEGO image host to rule them all. Edited August 1, 2007 by conductorjoe Quote
Starwars4J Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 It's not as if they intended to hide the fact that it's a rip-off, I'd say it's more of a parody myself. They don't seem to attempt to deceive anyone at least :-D I just don't see why we need other sites now that BS is back up for good. BS is great in the fact that it's simple, we don't need a lot of different interfaces and features. Quote

To be protected as a parody it has to be humourous and not a functioning enterprise. It is obviously not just a joke. They may not be trying to deceive but they will, sooner or later, receive a cease and desist order from YouTube's lawyers and have no choice but to re-brand their site. Actually I only used BriskShelf to store images to use for MOCpages. Now that MOCpages hosts pics I will probably shut down my BS account. One interface to upload pictures and create webpages for the MOCs. Quote
