Because Day Nine is hypothetical and ends in a draw vote and me killing you because I'm still bulletproof.

But I reach my win condition at the START of day 9.

Scum boards are always fun! I'd love to see the cheat sheet and decipher what people said. I thought it was fun.

Night Seven, I killed Bob. I wish I could say that I had figured him out. I actually killed him because I knew that in order for me to score a pure win (where the Town or Scum don’t win with me) I needed it to be me, one Townie and one Scummo. We had lynched the obviously Scummy Adelaide so killing Sammy, the other obvious Scum, would end my ability to win the game on my own. So, I killed Sue since she was likely Town! Great job, Sue. Anyway, Evil Jiminy and I discussed this in circles.

Good thinking!

After Sue flipped Scum I considered I was wrong about Sammy and was afraid I was here with two Townies. But when Lassie came in and tried to accuse me of being Scum I knew that I had it down to one of each and can take the game by myself. Then things escalated and it became clear over the course of yesterday that Lassie is the remaining Scum.

I was so done with this game by Day 8. It's tiring trying to constantly find townie reasons for things that you know are wrong!

My favorite parts of the Scum board are them trying to decipher my code, when they think I'm not the SK and when they think LEGO Spy is the vig.

I recognize some of those.

FWIW, I'm not upset or anything, just want to understand.

There have been many bloody sappy mafia games in the history of this site, but this takes the cake. Awesome job everyone!

I would expect you to want clarification. You had an awesome game and it's clear you put a lot of work in. Great job to you and Bob. The only reason I was considering killing either one of you on Night Seven was to kill Town. At one point I typed either in thread or to Tammo that the Scum team was acting like Ragnarok Redux and that you were likely heading them up and this was Day Three or Four but my track pad made the page go back and I thought the idea was a little Scummy and thought twice and the idea totally went away. Until you asked me if Lego Spy was the vig! Give me some credit! (Not that you weren't. I'm just responding to when you told me to give you some credit to fishing about Lego Spy the night he was killed.)

I also like the part of the Scum board where they think I'm the bomb.

Who?

I forgot to thank Walter for hosting an awesome game! It was clever and definitely not typical so there might have been a few bumps. But for a first game especially, really great job. I have some feedback but I'll save that for my next homework break. Obviously, I had a blast and I appreciate your patience with me constantly pestering you.

Yes, AWESOME fun game. Thanks Walter!

Great job and thanks for sharing that big confession Hinck. Fun reading.

I do think that 3 shot BP SK seems a bit overpowered though... I can see 1 shot, but 3? Of course, I was a whopping FOUR shot janitor.... and we got a bonus shot since the failure night 2 didn't count as one of the 4 (I assumed it did until we found out later we still had another use left)

Luckily I didn't use any until Night 7! I imagine it would've played out very differently had I been targeted earlier in the game. The janitor was so aggravating coupled with the stumps. Janitor is a really powerful Scum tool.

I do think that even a one-shot bulletproof vest can make a player bulletproof through the whole game. Once someone tries to kill a player and it doesn't work they may never try to kill that person again. But this could've turned out any which way at all. I'm glad I never got lynched. I was nervous on Day Three with seemingly half the Town and the stumps screaming for my head.

On the first night I stayed home, I was about to send in an action to kill Hinckley, but deleted it since I was busy and didn't have time to think it through. I thought, if he was town BP, he'd live and I'd still effectively kill no one. Sorry everyone.

I should feel played, but I don't. We had a blast this game. I remember at one point I told Hinck that we should take credit for any successful SK targets, and he laughed and said that that was a great idea because they wouldn't counterclaim. God.

Thank you for this excellent, excellent game Walter. I haven't had such a good game since I totally owned fhomess in Jedi Temple.

Speaking of fhomess, wow!! Good job. Hinck and I were wary of you at one point, but by the end I thought you were town. Excellent job. Bob too! And mostlytechnic! Wow, awesome scum team.

To all my townies and stumps, please forgive me.

I had to put on a hat so I could take it off to you, Hinckley. Well played, sir.

Nope, never sent them in. It didn't affect anything, as the targets they talked about on the Scum Board weren't investigated by Scaevola.

I thought the entire scum team was sending in their actions in one giant PM, but I realized that was not the case when Walter PM'd me on Day Three.

What a game. I misread Hinckley up until I died. I only realized he had to be the serial killer into Day Eight, since I was dead and he was bulletproof. Plus Walter had to pretty much flat out tell me because I'd got it so wrong. I thought I had every possible calculation worked out. Honestly, I thought TPRU was the serial killer. Fhomess and I discussed that since everyone believed I was the SK that if TPRU claimed it (which he tried to do) I would have counterclaimed and confirmed that I was, but it turned out that I didn't need to do so.

TPRU was right, I hammered Mostlytechnic on Day Six because I thought that TPRU was going to do it, and I wanted to appear extremely town the next day. The gamble worked, even though MT was confused about it in private. I started off the game playing the "typical Bob" that Hinckley is so used to (and sort of hates), and I did that on purpose because I knew he would think I was just being the same. I actually felt bad talking to Hinckley the entire Night Seven cycle, because I was so convinced he was town at that point, and I obviously had to keep playing up that I was town because I thought he was the Vig. I was worried that I was really fooling him, but in the end he turned out to be the one fooling me. I even expressed this to Walter when I was submitting my night action to kill Hinckley. I was secretly wondering what angrily-upset title he was going to give me since I thought I'd fooled him so hard as scum.

I should have known you weren't town, there weren't any stupid plays this game.

Fantastic game, everyone. Especially the invisible Scum. Were all of the Scum caught by accident? I think so. Amazing game, you guys.

I like to think I caught jluck with some help from our friendly neighbourhood serial killer.

I should feel played, but I don't. We had a blast this game. I remember at one point I told Hinck that we should take credit for any successful SK targets, and he laughed and said that that was a great idea because they wouldn't counterclaim. God.

Me neither.

Walter, thanks for making this a great game. It was incredible that we made it to 1v1v1, if a bit frustrating that we didn't have much in the way of town roles (especially when so few of the stumps stuck around).

The funniest moments in this game came pretty early. Hinckley linked a video of Stars and Stripes forever in celebration when TheLazyChicken posted. Plus there's always adventurer1's love for submitting her posts via fax machine after typing them on a typewriter in the pale moonlight.

jamesn is another all-star. 90% of our correct reads came from him. Wicked smart guy.

Really? Because fhomess was the one putting ideas into my head.

There were a few things that happened like that. I asked if I should claim bulletproof and jamesn told me Zepher would just accuse me of being the bulletproof Serial Killer.

I even told you to kill me. Well, after the fact I said you should've but that's because I had expected you to. I had a blast too and I'm sorry I was out to destroy you. I was having fun Scum-hunting and then Night Action submission would come around and I'd think "Oh crap, I'm not Town."

I told you guys I was an Oak!!!

Also worth pointing out that we had no idea that Scaevola and Jamesn were the investigators. Thanks, Dave, for narrowing down the field!

What a game!

Thanks for hosting Walter, this was epic in so many ways!

Congrats to Hinck on the well deserved win.

I have to say I'm still not clear on what I did wrong in saying we had claims of vanilla; I included, but did not make clear, the dead in that post so it meant that of the 6 claims we had (plus our own 11 in total) only made it that 2 non-dead were outed as vanilla.

Sorry that I disappeared at the end, had to do RCB stuff and RL was a pain!!

I had a lot of fun!

I really do have a migraine today and my sons keep telling to stop using the computer, but I can't because this game has been the absolute best!

I should have pushed to lynch Hinckley after he backed out of the deal, that is so suspicious! Wow. Great job, well deserved win.

I'd usually expect a BP to be a 1 shot defense, so if I was lassie at the end I serious would have thought about scum killing you, assuming it'd work. On the other hand, if someone survived TWO night kills, I'd assume they were permanently BP. So 3 was just weird.

I don't remember the exact math, but at the time, whatever number of vanilla you said had been claimed was the number of stumps plus the number of people who had claimed in thread. So to all of us, it appeared that you'd just said that all the stumps were vanilla (ie no PRs among them) and those of us who had posted claims via codes were all vanilla too.

I did target Hinck on the last night.

There were 6 dead but one of them was Brickelodeon. Dragonfire had claimed Miller publicly. It basically told us Foog, TPRU, and LazyChicken were all vanilla. It narrowed down the potential other players, which helped us get lucky with the investigators.

How did the math work out though in the end, but wouldn't the scum have outnumbered the town when TPRU was lynched?

Walter told me we had to survive until the next morning with the advantage, and since Bob was killed that night, it didn't happen. If only Bob had been scummier, Hinck wouldn't have targetted him!

Wow, amazing game! This has been one of the best games here on EB. Bob and MT played amazing as scum. Hinkley, you did wonderful as the Serial Killer. I actually thought you were scum at first with all the town lynches you were part of. I just didn't want to say it because sadly no one would believe me... I was wrong though.

 I remember that...

But Adventurer1's posts about the asterisks made me laugh, I at first thought it was an excuse to back up what she did.

Great Job Walter, you did amazing as the host, if there is Unrest in the Forest 2, I'm totally going to play.

I also learned to not defend anyone early in the game...

Interesting you bring that up... for kicks, I tried playing a game over on mafiascum, one of their newbie games (9 players, 6 of whom are newish). Man what a different environment! Massive vote throwing around (there's no role-playing to fill the start of the game, so they just start throwing votes at random and see how people react). And there's so much more harsh accusations of scumminess, but also so much defending people that you think are townie. I got lynched day 1
