Which joints?

The CV joints in your 2nd pic in post #14. Even with compressed shock springs, they look to me like they'll pop out when subject to stress, unless the M motor isn't stong enough and stalls first. I'd replace them with U joints and replace the M motors with L motors if you have them (same RPM, 2x the torque).

But I don't have 2 L motors and with how I have the tracks designed to be removed. I just remembered I got the older grey ones I could use, got extras of them. On the functions side: tracks, rotate, attachment, main boom, and minimum one arm.

Finally got to do a re-work on some of it and some more progress on it.

Not much of a report except that this is going to a little on the bigger side.

Hey i also made a longboom a while back . not the most beautifull one, but fully functional.

2 large motors voor tracks

XL motor for first boom section

Large motor for second boom section

M motor for turning the claw or bigbucket

M motor for opening closing the atachment.

4 receivers. 2 battery packs .

3 remotes.

everything works fine .

but again not the most beautifull one.

I think it looks great. I have seen worse. But I got at least 4 boom choices... a normal excavator, a long reach like your, a 3 section boom, or a telescopic boom.

It has been a little busy lately playing tech support for my computers and running errands. So I got a little progress done Friday.
