gylman Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 The Scudaria truck took the worst hit. Cafe Corner pretty bad too, Paradisa stables, Gold City Junction, Hot Rod Club, Amazon Ancient Ruins, the recent Airport and Airplane sets (I used like a bazillion red chairs), about a dozen others for one or a few parts. And my Black Cat Truck had to TEMPORARILY give up its two curved chrome pipes for the jukebox. It really showed me how useful Bricklink/Peeron inventories are. I need a part, I check which sets have it, and then I go to the vault.... It worked well. There was relatively very little I needed from Bricklink - the curved bricks and slopes mostly, a few cupboards, the cash register printed slope. The only sets I unsealed were the Krusty Krab and the Amusement park microscale set, which are nothing more than parts packs anyway. Most of the sets were not sealed, just complete and boxed. So, assuming I kept track properly (and I tried), the damage should be recoverable.... except I don't quite have the heart to take the Diner apart. Quote

Siegfried Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 You know, Sinner's no-enter trick worked so well that I may do something new in my sig. Well why wouldn't it work? :-D You might have noticed I do the same in my signature. I find three across works well. Really, it's been great seeing the variety of stuff people put together - no two alike and really original ideas. Thanks for putting the contest together Hinckie. I second that! Three cheers for Hinckie! Hip Hip Hurrah! Hip Hip Hurrah! Hip Hip Hurrah! You actually dismantled/plundered actuall sets to create your MOC ? Wow, I am too much of a collector to do that :-D Very few of my sets are safe from my evil thoughts.... :-D I simply don't have enough pieces to feel otherwise! You will get a special award for having the only sea-worthy entry! :-P Yay! :-D I doubt it will float though... 8-| Quote

Only thing that might kill the idea is that everyone is too lazy to make up a standard sized banner, including me :-| :-D Quote
