Both the AAA and rechargeable battery and M-motors are out of stock in North America. I wonder if the people looking to motorize their Avenger's Helicarrier and/or the Ferris Wheel are the cause. Good thing I ordered a bunch of them back during double VIP points.

I tried making an order from BnP. When I clicked "Add to Cart," it deleted all the bricks I selected. Apparently, they decided to update their catalog then and one of the pieces I wanted suddenly went "Out of Stock," so they deleted all of the bricks in my cart instead of just that one like they say they will. This is not the first time this has happened. Quite annoying!

Yeah. I ordered the rechargeable battery in April, and it's been sitting in the warehouse for a week.

I ordered an M motor for my Ferris Wheel, so yes, I think doing my part for a run on the power functions items (got it a couple days ago)... Ooh and perish the thought that they would put out new sets with the PF options promoted, but not increase production of said items.. LOL

I can't find any of the PF parts at my local store either, so at the mercy of the perpetually out of stock S@H site. I'm waiting for 2battery boxes as well.

I was having a similar problem earlier this week- so frustrating! In my case, it also wouldn't let me add the BnP to my cart and then when it finally did, S@H wouldn't let me log in to my account to check out (It would only let me check out as a guest). I'm pretty sure my issue was due to cookies though. Once I deleted all my browser history & cookies, the website worked fine.

After a week of being listed as "In Warehouse", today my order status was finally updated... to "Partial Shipped/Partial Backordered". I also received an eMail detailing how some of the items from my recent order were out of stock and would be delayed significantly. The new expected availability date on the website is June 2nd, which I completely expect to slip back at least twice. It's so frustrating! They had it! The customer service guy said it would ship, and now it's gone, and they don't carry them at LEGO stores here in the states I've been told.

Argh.

I got home today, and see this large box on the porch, I knew my Lego order was coming, but by USPS, because it was just a small order. So I was surprised when I saw such a large box. Then I picked it up and it was quite lightweight.... Usually this size box comes from FedEx. I was wondering if maybe I got the wrong thing, but no, it was the right items...and a huge mound of air bag packing!

My best guess is that they ran out of smaller boxes and this was what they had to do...

I'll have to try that, thanks!

I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed this, but one bug which I have complained about (the one where it kept returning to the main S@H page when browsing listings or doing BnP orders) appears to have been fixed... and now has been replaced with another bug. I always used to be perpetually logged into my VIP account (aside from after outages and other VIP account related problems), but over the last month or two, every new browsing session I start sees me logged out of my VIP account, despite me having selected "Remember Me" the last time I logged in (which worked in the past, it would keep me logged in until I chose to log out). I don't think it's Google Chrome (as I remain perpetually logged in everywhere else without problems), and my cookies don't clear after ending a browsing session, so there's really no reason for the logouts  Note this is just my VIP login, I never get logged out of my LEGO ID weirdly...

Unless of course, they have completely changed the meaning of "Remember Me" and possibly automatically log VIP accounts out for security reasons now.

Ah, whatever, I think my S@H using days are limited now anyway, I'm almost completely put off ordering from there again aside from BnP (but even that I have complaints about, but there's really no substitute for it when it comes to stuff I like to order). In the last year I've had badly packed / crushed orders, stolen orders (okay, Yodel's fault, not LEGO's but that courier choice is another reason I'm turned off using S@H. Someone needs to tell it's drivers that leaving a parcel, often with hundreds of pounds worth of goods inside, in the middle of the garden path in plain view (not in my designated safe place) and without leaving a depot card is unacceptable! ), orders with tracking links that don't work, simple orders that have taken days to ship, website not working when I want to place an order on a set's release day etc... I prefer to make a trip to my local LEGO Store nowadays, which has precisely none of these problems plus you get to speak to friendly, passionate humans in person, which is a nice plus

Yesterday was fun, every time I tried to log in to the USA S@H site, it would accept my credentials, and show my avatar that I was logged in, but when I tried to go to my order status page, it would ask me to log in again...infinite loop! None of the VIP info would ever show up either. This morning it seems corrected though. Maybe they were fixing other problems...

I don't trust using 'remember me' on most sites... I am a little paranoid. Never let it save my CC info either!

The login is now just completely screwed up. Earlier, it kept telling me I didn't have permission to view the page every time I tried to access a login page. All I wanted to do was check on an order status.

And what's worse, even BnP has been on a steep downward spiral in quality, I mean, when they opened for the first time this year they were shipping orders within a day. Now they take 2 weeks to just ship... I ordered some BnP on the 7th (it was only about 25 parts), got it on the 19th and it had a whole lot missing, which was vital to my build. Rung up the customer service (who are wonderful), and they agreed to send out the missing pieces (there was only 6) wiith the promise I'd get it in the next 10 working days at most. That was 9 days ago, and according to the new order status, it hasn't even been sent! Seriously, how on earth does it take this long to pick and send just 6 pieces, all the same part!? Guess I'll be on the phone to them tomorrow, since I don't see my missing parts arriving anytime soon...

The site seems to have turned into a complete and utter shambles.

The login didn't seem to work for me either, so it appears almost everyone is having this problem.

Lately, I've just been using incognito mode to use S@H because it helps me avoid some of the problems associated with cookies. Tonight, it won't let me view the second page of a search. And by search, I just mean clicking on "Sales and Deals" and hitting page 2. SMH

I don't understand why they're still using this crappy software after all this time. It's unusable. This is the biggest toy company in the world. It doesn't make any sense.

Recently I have had another reason to complain, and that is that 99% of new pieces (that were new in sets that came out in May and June) on their Bricks and Pieces service have never been available to purchase, not even the ones that should be completely unaffected by license issues, like pieces and recolours exclusive to the new Ninjago, Ultra Agents, Elves sets and so on. The only new piece I could find that was purchasable was Krog's medium azure robot arms.

Has anybody had any luck whatosever buying any of these newly released parts via BnP yet, either by phone, email or online? Just want to know other people's experiences so I can try them myself. I've emailed customer service expressing my disappointment (as sad as it might sound, the monthly BnP update usually brings me much joy and excitement, but not this time round!) and they said they would pass on my complaint concerning the abnormally long time new parts are labelled OOS (well, it's valid, normally these pieces are available to buy immediately), but told me they hadn't updated their stock for the new parts yet. That was 2nd June.

At least I think the VIP login issues were sorted when the site went down for maintenance a few days ago, so I think LEGO may actually be listening to us

I visit LEGO's website as little as I can. It seems their web designer uses a heavy-handed approach that makes the site brittle.

* Seems to use server-side or at least cookie-encoded state to keep track of browsing through products, so if you wait too long before going to the next page, it silently dumps you to browsing the entire set of products. Way too often it fails like this immediately, e.g. clicking SALES AND DEALS, then trying to go to the second page, results in being dumped into the second page of every product.

* When looking at a set, it uses a sluggish zoom system that's a pure pain to use.

* When arriving at a set page, it always fades the set image *out* first, then back in. I assume this is some remnant of an attempt to be stylish and have the image fade in, but it is utter fail and looks clunky. It's been like this for months so it says a lot about a state of disrepair to me. Switching images also takes a full second for the slow cross-fade. Form over function, ugh.

* I remember wanting to give some feedback about the site directly to them and it requiring that I give my full name, address, phone number, etc. It's a good measure of a website how easy they make it to give feedback about the website.

* Things like Retiring Soon and similar seem unreliable, as some things clearly retired aren't marked.

On S@H I swear I saw an Elves keychain a few days ago, and the Friends horse and dolphin keychains available again at $4.99. But now it's as if none of this was ever the case. I was baffled.

No luck yet. I made a BnP order on May 17th, which included some of the Elves elements. The parts are still marked as 'In Warehouse' hmmm now past the three weeks point. Usually a parts purchase would take 2-3 weeks to be delivered, so this is getting ridiculous.

Strange that it's not showing up for you. I've seen Elves charm since June 1st on both the US and Canada sites. All three bag charms show up fine for me today.

Huh, so it's not only me finding Bricks and Pieces painfully slow at the moment? They say up to 2 weeks delivery, but my current delivery of just 6 parts, 1 lot, which in itself was supposed to be replacing the parts that were forgotten to be placed into my last BnP order, took 2 weeks to just ship, and a week later, it still hasn't turned up. I'm sorry to hear yours appears to be taking even longer than mine, it doesn't give me hope for my newly placed order that's for sure!

I eventally caved in and placed a new order because I desperately wanted some Mixels parts in bulk (the only June release parts they actually HAD for order), at this rate I'll be lucky to see them before July :hmpf_bad: The staff that work in the replacement parts warehouse obviously cannot cope with the increasing number of orders even with their recently introduced limits in place, it suggests to me that it might make a world of difference to just hire a couple of extra staff dedicated to picking BnP and replacement parts orders.

As for the other June release parts, I've just given up and set up Bricklink wanted list notifications for the new parts I want. At this point I figured that would be quicker and easier for me

I just want to take a minute and tell everyone how great LEGO's call-center customer service reps are.

Very courteous, professional, communicative people.

And I am tired of talking to them once a day for the past week.

Also: Hate that hold music now.

But the people are great!

I had my first bad S@H experience today. I received an order of three sets where two items were wrong.

I ordered the Deep Sea Submarine, Witch King Battle, and Space Starter Set

I received the Deep Sea Submarine, Juniors Turtle Lair, and Double Decker Couch.

At least I received the largest set... Now I gotta send back the wrong ones and wait another week for the other two sets. FedEx smartpost and their erratic tracking is another annoyance.

OK, I ordered a AAA battery box (88000), and it was back ordered, back on 17 May, and I am sure it said then 15 June or thereabouts to ship. I still haven't got it, and now I check and the date says 27 July! I sure hope that is for more recent orders, and not mine too... So frustrating when you are waiting on a particular item, and it keeps getting pushed back. I know others are in the same boat, reading the previous posts...

Its funny too, because if I log in as a different region from the USA, like Ireland, it shows the battery box as available. I guess they don't redistribute stock, and would rather have orders just sit there in limbo... :-(

That would be shipping... today? If it said it would ship around June 15th, you shouldn't get it for a few days as the mail carrier has to physically transport your package after it has been shipped out and left the Lego building.

Unless they have enough demand at one particular warehouse (but not enough stock) and the items instock at another, I don't see them redistributing stock. Why would they send a handful of items from one warehouse to another just to fill a couple orders? They deal with millions of bricks a day. Often times warehouses and such are operated by different managers and they have certain inventory they ordered too so they can't simply exchange stock like two kids trading baseball cards.

Anyways I had a bad experience myself with Lego S@H the other day. All the items came except the PaB order, which was fine and expected as it says those orders can take several weeks. However, I ordered a few of the tan baseplates and for some reason Lego decided to mix tan and green and throw a few green in there instead of tan ones.

To all you USA kids waiting on your battery: I'm not sure how accurate or public this information is supposed to be, as it was told to me by a Customer Service rep after a solid week of calls.

All of the battery boxes (rechargeable and AAA) are backordered. But when the warehouse gets them in, the merchandising department lists them on the website as available for order. This means that every time they get battery boxes in to fill backorders, more people order them, putting those people in the back of the backorder queue. There's a communication problem between the 3 departments. I ordered mine in April, and I'm still at least a month away from getting it.

I'm no expert on warehouse operations, so am not going to argue. Just am annoyed on how long it takes. I figure all those updates are probably automated, no one is actually checking for real accuracy. Its all 'ballpark' estimates. Usually sets seem to come in earlier, but Power Function items take a LOT longer!
