Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) The boy stood, watching, waiting. Autumn had come with a promise of ripe fruit and sweetness. The day passed by and so did grumpy carrot farmers from nearby Thorshaven. But the boy did not move. He stood in front of the tree and watched the apple. His apple. He waited for it to fall down. I would like to claim UoP credits for: - Anthropology: countryside scene. - Agriculture: harvest time. The scene is set in Mitgardia (when it is not covered with snow). Builder's note: I often struggle in finding good titles for my MOCs that help to draw attention to my creations. Maybe it will work out this time... Stefaneris Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I really didn't expect this but I have to say it's a nice scene. Maybe he has to wait for the apple to fall as long as people wait in front of the apple store Quote
LittleJohn Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Excellent little vig! I really like the path and pink mushroom, as well as the tree itself Quote
Balbo Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Very nice I love the tree, the path and all those little details (like the pink mushroom). Quote
Capn Frank Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Great little apple tree. Tree-huggers would love this. Quote
Adair Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Very nice! The tree trunk does seem a little basic, as does the landscaping, but I think it turned out pretty nice! Hope he likes bruised apples! Quote
Maxim I Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Ah such a beautifull and peacefull place. For us Kaliphlinites, it is almost a Fata Morgana Great job and +1 UoP for your claims! Quote

Thanks for noticing. Great little apple tree. Tree-huggers would love this. I have not done so many trees before. I am still practising. Very nice! The tree trunk does seem a little basic, as does the landscaping, but I think it turned out pretty nice! Hope he likes bruised apples! Well spotted: The tree trunk IS very basic... The boy likes all kinds of apples. Great small build! Thanks. Nice details ! Great little build! Ah such a beautifull and peacefull place. For us Kaliphlinites, it is almost a Fata Morgana Great job and +1 UoP for your claims! Thanks for that. I probably should have claimed "humor". Maybe it is time to set up the "Comical Academy of Mitgardia"... Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 The title sure is a fly trap... Could have also called it 'Newton - the early days' or 'Life before the invention of gravity'... This 'product' is much more stylish than the coincidentally referenced lifestyle thing Nice little vignette, well executed, vivid colors as always. Shame there's no monkeys in Mitgardia. Brick on! Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 The title sure is a fly trap... Could have also called it 'Newton - the early days' or 'Life before the invention of gravity'... I'll be asking you for my next MOC titles - "Newton - the early days" is perfect! Shame there's no monkeys in Mitgardia. Yeah, it's a problem. I'll probably have to build MOCs in the south. Nice little vig, good work on the tree! +1 for the UoP credits! Thanks! Great work showing the lush side of Mitgardia I like the fig combos on the boy a lot Thanks. I'll probably have to come back with more snowy MOCs next time... Quote
ArchitectureFan Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 What a nice and funny build! Did you consider using one of the red apples? To improve contrast? Brick on! Quote
Loves Houses Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Ha, I knew it! Apple watch was invented in the medieval age already! So why all the fuss about it now. Hilarious idea and nicely translated into legoriality. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Did you consider using one of the red apples? To improve contrast? Would have looked good, but I do not have one of those new red apples. (Should have bought more friends sets) Hilarious idea and nicely translated into legoriality. Thanks! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 Ok, I was able to get hold of a red apple. So, here is the update: But actually I think it was already ok with the green apple.. Quote
