just2good Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Eh, a lot of people are saying Unicorn Girl, but I don't see it. She's such a new character in LEGO it just wouldn't make sense for LEGO to put her in Dimensions with no other original themes besides Ninjago and Chima (just based on our speculation). However, if it was an older CMF, that could be possible. Some people may bring up Homer, Bart, and Krusty... but they're licensed. Quote

It's been confirmed that WB and LEGO roped Fox into the game, and I think the pic makes it very clear that they are Simpsons characters. Picture 34 is quite clear. Yellowish head, teal hair, pink shirt, lime pants-that's definitely Krusty. I don't really think Unicorn Girl either, but it's a tall white blur...who else could it be? There's been no evidence of CMFs in the game at all. Arctic Batman, maybe? Quote
kevkipo Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 These are the ones I could identify. 1. Marty McFly 2. Homer Simpson 3. Bartman 5. Wicked Witch 6. Scooby 7. Shaggy 8. Jay 9. Kai 10. Cole 13. Joker 14. Harley Quinn 15. Unicorn Girl? 16. Superman 17. Aquaman 19. Wonder Woman 20. Cyborg 21. Bart Simpson 22. Cyborg with yellow armor? LB3 Space Suit? 24. Benny 34. Krusty the Clown 42. Lloyd 22. Is defenitely Emmet Quote

Blondie-Wan Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) They just aren't clear enough for me to be sure about any of them. I can't even tell for sure which of them might be any of the nineteen characters we specifically have official confirmation of, let alone most characters for whom we don't even have any other info that they're in the game or not. I will agree on one I think is Bart Simpson, but I just don't know about those others. Edited April 13, 2015 by Blondie-Wan Quote

Master_Data Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) I've bolded the ones which have been officially confirmed. For some reason, the lists I've seen so far have completely ignored Bad Cop. 1. Marty Mcfly 2. Homer 3. Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz)? 4. ? 5. Wicked Witch 6. Scooby 7. Shaggy 8. ? 9. Kai 10. Cole No 11 for some reason 12. Ghostbuster 13. Joker 14. Harley 15. ? 16. Superman 17. Aquaman 18. Tin Man 19. Wonder Woman 20. Cyborg 21. Bart 22. Emmet 23. Bad Cop 24. Benny 25. Jay 26. Nya 27. Zane 28. Gollum 29. Legolas 30. Gimli 31. ? 32. Laval 33. Cragger 34. Krusty 35. Unikitty 36. Eris 37. Unknown licensed character 38. ? 39. ? 40. ? 41. Unknown shorter character 42. Lloyd Just 25 unknowns. Could we also be getting Doc Brown and Sensei Wu (which would explain the two unknown white silhouettes)? I could definitely imagine Scooby and Shaggy in a team pack, while Laval and Cragger and Joker and Harley would be logical to round out our selection. I'm still unsure as to which of the remaining figures might give us a level pack. Any thoughts? Edited April 13, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Well, we've been told Doctor Who will be part of this, so I'd guess a version of the Doctor would be here, and perhaps an appropriate companion as well, though which companion we would get would probably depend upon which incarnation of the Doctor we'd get. While I don't profess to know who is likely, I will just add that I'd personally love it if some more LEGO-original characters appeared - Johnny Thunder, say, or Olivia, or Clutch Powers. Here is one of the relatively few articles I've found so far with information beyond the press release basics we've seen everywhere. It confirms those are indeed Troy Baker, Tom Kane and Elizabeth Banks as Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle (yay!) - I think we all figured Baker and Banks were there, but it's nice to have confirmation, and I had no idea about Gandalf before (though now that I know I can't help but remember his Star Wars: The Clone Wars work as I listen to him here). Also with regard to Batman, there's this intriguing little tidbit: In a demonstration of "Dimensions" for The Associated Press, the two-player action kicked off with heroes Batman, Gandalf and Wyldstyle being ripped from their respective realms and teleported to Oz to restore an interdimensional gateway. At one point, the Caped Crusader from the "Lego" games crossed paths with the surly Batman of "The Lego Movie." (bolding added)Batman meets Batman?! Edited April 13, 2015 by Blondie-Wan Quote
DuckBricks Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Batman meets Batman?! Oh! Now that would be hilarious! Quote

If the rumor's true then I'd assume it'd be the same or similar as the minifigure we're getting in the Ideas set, as that's been the case with many set figures so far. Oh man, it'd be so cool to have the Doctor in it, since that's what I've thought about The LEGO Movie 2 having. He must have a pretty big advantage when it comes to dimension-hopping though... It'd certainly be interesting to see if TLG intend to do anything with the Clutch Powers characters again; we might finally see a physical release of the main character minifigures. Wow, if they are intending to mix in the alternate incarnations of characters as well then this might be the best darn LEGO crossover ever, albeit harbored by the lack of Marvel, Star Wars, PIXAR, Disney, Nickelodeon, TMNT and Indiana Jones, but what we have and are likely to have is still great! Who's betting Speed Racer makes an appearance? A bit more organized and clear for people who wanna make lists and guesses and wahtnot. How can you not see Bart, Homer and Krusty there? 6 & 7 may also look like Scooby and Shaggy! 12 also kind of looks like a Ghostbuster. Can anyone spot a Doctor-looking one? Quote
npgcole Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 There's going to be more characters added in 2016, so I'm wondering, does the top of the box include the 2016 characters or just the launch figures? Quote

Good point. Maybe the vertical lines represent release dates? 1-7 and 19-33 would come with the initial launch and the other 3 groups would be released incrementally thereafter. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Who's betting Speed Racer makes an appearance? That's one I've been thinking is possible. AFAIK, the rights are still controlled by WB, at least for the movie, and I don't think anyone else is doing anything with the franchise in either construction toys or toys-to-life games, so I imagine it's at least a possibility. I also wonder whether Avatar: The Last Airbender / The Legend of Korra is a possibility. I'm aware LEGO's ongoing relationship with Nickelodeon is inactive, and that the last Nick-controlled franchises that were once LEGO themes have just recently migrated to other construction toy makers. As far as I'm aware, though, Nickelodeon's properties are licensed separately, and for varying lengths of time; remember, when LEGO's Nickelodeon partnership began, they were doing DUPLO sets for Dora the Explorer. They had that license only a short while before Mega Bloks picked it up, but while MB went off and did their own Dora the Explorer sets, LEGO kept on with Spongebob Squarepants and, briefly, Avatar, so Nick must not just assign all their licenses to a single partner under a blanket agreement (or at least, they didn't then). And I don't think any other construction toy companies are doing anything with Avatar / Korra right now. Quote
Robert8 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Ok... we are going crazy with the characters We need a better pic of that box ASAP Quote

Robert8 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 If Cloud Cuckoo Land will appear, there is no way the CMF's won't be a part of this. They are Cloud Cuckoo Land's population Quote

enkeybo Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) It would be weird for LEGO to have a Chell minifigure in this (where's Atlas and P-Body?) but I've been waiting for LEGO Portal sets for forever. Let's keep our fingers crossed and pray that those CUUSOO projects didn't die in vain. If LEGO does join up with Valve, could we be seeing Half-Life or TF2 products as well? I also really hope that the speculation around Avatar: The Last Airbender (and Legend of Korra) is true. That franchise deserves a lot more than just two measly sets. just2good Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 If LEGO does join up with Valve, could we be seeing Half-Life or TF2 products as well? Both of those are rated M by ESRB, and TF2 is pretty darn violent? Quote
Master_Data Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) If LEGO does join up with Valve, could we be seeing Half-Life or TF2 products as well? Not going to happen. Portal is more likely than those two, and I doubt that even that will make it (I don't think that's Chell in the picture). Edited April 14, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
VictorFrenchFries Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I'm betting that the ones that are missing are from The Wizard of Oz. Quote
enkeybo Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Whatever #3 turns out to be, I seriously doubt it being scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. If you look at him in the trailer, he has BROWN legs, a DARK GREEN torso, and a pointy dark brown hat. #3 has ORANGE legs, a WHITE torso, and even some light flesh from the look of it. Whoever it is, it's not Scarecrow. Edited April 14, 2015 by enkeybo Quote
