I had a crazy idea last night, what if with the introduction of the faun parts in S15 they're planning some Chronicles of Narnia packs, similar to how they did Wizard of Oz?

I'd love a White Witch, but I fear that Narnia is fairly low on kids' radar these days.

It was me who said we were getting AT, but am I the only one who doesn't really like LEGO touching all this 80s stuff? BTTF and GB is fine, but Gremlins? Knight Rider? A-Team? I don't think kids today even know what those are (maybe Gremlins) so they might be something else.

Whoops. I do think it is kind of hard to see Lego doing those. I can't think of any other franchse with those initials, though.

The guessing game is back on!

Nexo Knights would be the obvious choice since its a new theme with a big marketing push behind it.

We got a whole bunch of NinjaGo packs and a few Chima packs so some Nexo Knights packs and a Nexo Knights area make a bunch of sense IMO.

I'm almost certain Nexo Knights will be there.

That. Would. Be. Awesome.

GR and KR are the only ones that stump me, but since they only have 1 pack each, they could be initials of character names instead of franchise names. The one thing that makes me sad is that there is no mention of any previous franchises on this list, but then again, there are only 17 packs here, and I think there will be way more overall.

Anyway, there are 5 "Connectable" packs- Wii U, PS3, PS4, XBone, XB360- so there's that. One for each console?

Yeah, I was dissaponted to see no returnig ones, but hey, this is just a small part of the next packs.

But, ah ha! I think your on to something...

Someone suggested they could add some keystones. Could that be what they are doing? An add on pack to the Gateway?

Or... a LD 2 mini starter pack like pack with a new story mode, extra levels, ect.

Damn i mistakenly thought Benny had some unique abilities that i didnt have covered yet with other characters, so i bought him (and his spaceship) but now i found out that

Cyberman pretty much got it covered already :(

Not really at the most the Cyberman's only got two abilities that are the same as Benny's and that's Hacking and Technology if I'm honest.

Alright no need to be a smart aleck, the Cyberman wins out on abilities I concede on that.

I actually just want to make sure i didn't miss any key abilities for Benny that's all! It wasn't meant to be a smart Alec type of comment, sorry ;)

It's okay it happens. And to just to note here: I actually do alternate between Benny, The Doctor and the Cyberman anyway so you can use either anyway.

Yeah i guess i will be alternating as well once in a while... but still, i told myself to mainly get characters based on abilities, not on "charm" or looks ;) because then i'd probably have to get them ALL at some point :(

It applies to me quite a lot really when I'm playing the game mainly due to the fact that I have so many characters by now 22 at that and still counting.

What i'd do would be, to get the "all around character" from each franchise.

Zane from NInjago (best looking as well), Cyberman from Dr. Who, Legolas from LOTR, etc. Then i'd get figs I thought looked cool.

Thing is, how do you figure out who that "all around" character actually IS? I mean, i got Sensei Wu to get access to Ninjago hub AND cover Legolas abilities (polevaulting etc. i think)

If you want all 480 Gold Bricks you will need to get all 6 Level Packs and the Scooby Doo and Jurassic World Team Packs. In addition the following Fun Packs are needed. (It only mentions the ability that makes them unique, not all abilities they have!)

Emmet/Bane-Drill

Wicked Witch-Oz Adventure World

Unikitty- Rainbow Bricks

Cyberman*

Sensei Wu-Pole

Aquaman- Atlantis

Cragger- Dive/Chi

Slimer- Dive/pass ghost swarms/sonic

Superman- Dive/laser**

That should open every world and cover every ability needed for gold bricks.

*Cyberman has lots of abilities shared by other characters but there was at least one gold brick I could only get with him (or possibly her?!), I think it was the hacking terminal in the SP Ninjago level or an underwater one, so I'd get 'it' over Doc Brown for the Drone ability.

**Superman has a unique freeze breath ability that no one else has, but there don't seem to be puzzles that need this, but I'd go for him over Cyborg just in case.

Just to add...I haven't explored Ghostbusters and Doctor Who Adventure Worlds yet and there might be some puzzles not covered by the above, so someone might be able to offer advice on that.

Also, Midway AW and Level Pack might throw up another Gold Brick that is not covered by the above, so you might want to wait til March when the list may increase...

Great list Koquillion, thanks a bunch! However, what about that deflect laser ability? Or IS that "laser"?

No, it's laser(cut gold bricks) and dive. You can upgrade the cube from Portal to deflect, so you use that.

What is pole vault? If it's the same as the actual sport, why is it needed when there's characters that can just fly instead?

Legolas (Or Sensai Wu) either opening up boxes using their poles to spin on them, or doing this:

Check the Lego Dimensions website.

It lists all the character's abilities. People tend to overlook certain characters and deem them "useless", when they were actually quite helpful and may even be the all around character.

Or the in game character roster, accessed from the Vortron hub!. It's best to whack the puzzle hint cubes to see if any vehicles/gadgets can be upgraded to cover abilities before buying any pack!

Whatever you do, there are five Fun Packs that are must buys. Unikitty, Aquaman, Cragger, Slimer and Wicked Witch all have truly unique features that no other character or upgraded vehicle can provide.

But my favorite Fun Pack piece is Wonder Woman! Really useful for exploring the Starter Pack levels because she has Batman's abilities (apart from stealth) and can fly around to help find minikits and secret areas. With mind control and super strength (and the Wonder Woman T.V. theme when she takes off!),she really is great value. Her invisible jet is brilliant and helped me get a gold brick I couldn't get with any other currently released character!

Alright, so what's everybody's favorite hubworld?

So far, from the ones i've been to, i'd say Jurassic World (just very peaceful and relaxing, quite a few nices surprises) and maybe the DC ones have been great for me (Atlantis ftw)

Ooh that's a good one. I don't have any favourites but I like travelling to the Ninjago, Doctor Who and Back to the Future adventure worlds and also The Lego Movie hub as well. Those are probably the ones I go the most I reckon.
