Starscream759 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 There is gonna be a Knight Rider reboot I believe. Also Wizard of Oz is not popular right now... And really Ghostbusters and Back to the Future I don't think are for kids it's for the adults. Especially the Midway Arcade.. Uhhh no offence but what rock have you been under to think that The Wizard of Oz, Ghostbusters and the Back to the Future series are all unpopular with kids? Your talking about three iconic films that everybody has probably seen at some point in their lives and practically everybody knows about those films not just adults. Midway Arcade, I can understand where your coming from because I can honestly see no kid remembering 80s arcade games. Quote
Ashnflash Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) I'm not saying that it isn't for kids... My point is that there are themes for everyone. You've got Portal for like gamers who loved that game. Wizard of Oz came out way before BTTF and Ghostbusters and having the flop movie/reboot doesn't mean kids know it. Anyways Knight Rider is still well known and is right up there with one of the most famous cars in media history. It may not be too popular today but to adults it will be. I know a bunch of kids that have gotten into LEGO Dimensions and only because of the game now love BTTF, DW, and Ghostbusters. This game appeals to everyone and just because Knight Rider or the A-Team isn't on TV now doesn't mean that it won't do well. It is still very iconic and means a lot to other people. Though there are uber adult fans of TTG I'm sure that to some adults they might look at this like what is this... This is just some children's cartoon show... LEGO knows what they're doing and whatever they give us people will buy Edited May 12, 2016 by Ashnflash Quote
badbob001 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) I read an article that said that kids-oriented things like theme parks or kids shows were made more successful when they were updated to make it fun for adults as well. So for Disney World, kids and their parents could enjoy the experience today instead of the adult just waiting for their kids. Or the Sesame Street show having jokes for adults to understand and now both kids and parents are watching the show together. So maybe for Dimensions, by including nostalgic things from the parent's childhood, then parent and child will now play together. So let's assume Knight Rider is going to in it. Adults would know it, be curious to try it, and buy it. Getting the adult to buy it may be the most important part since children are less likely to be the one buying these on their own. Maybe at the store, the adult would buy one pack that the kids want and one pack that mom/dad wants to try out. Of course, most children would not know about Knight Rider, but how bad can a computer car be, and besides, "mom/dad is willing to play it with me so it's worth a try." Borex Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Ow that has to be Hassel the Hoff and Kitt (why blue?) And oh yeah, i'm one of those guys that'll buy knight riders and Mr. T's. These are 80ies popculture icons. And by the way the inclusion of Mr. T and Knight Rider is ace. I'd like to buy a drink for the guy at Lego who came up with that idea. The only thing is that i'd like to see a proper A-team mini-van and a Kitt and not the dimension small thingies. Quote

I'd like to hug every single person at TT Games who wanted Doctor Who and Harry Potter in LEGO Dimensions. I believe they made a ''really long'' list with franchises they would love to see in the game. Quote

Local Knowledge Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 They probably made the really long list before LEGO Dimensions was even announced. They probably did that indeed. Harry Potter has to be on that list too! And perhaps even Star Wars or Marvel or Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean! Quote
Benny benny BENNY Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) "Something about Knight Rider, but my lack of punctuation and sentence structure made this post gibberish." this is a promo for a knight rider film meant to be released this year it would therefore make sense for WB to be promoting Knight Rider and including it in Lego Dimensions. Starscream759 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I've got Slimer today and I can't wait to see what he can do in gameplay. Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I need to get on that soon. Flight, sonar, diving, boomerang, illumination, and just the fact that he's freaking Slimer...definitely seems like a good character to have. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I just noticed something wrong, When you go to select Winston as a ghostbuster his icon uses the wrong hair piece, it's the one that came in the Ecto-1 set, and not Finns hair piece he uses In game! Quote

FrankyCentaur Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Autumn is a bit late. Why not July or August? I think purely because that's when the game officially launched last year. Every September will be the start of a new Phase of Lego Dimensions. Just my guess. Quote

I got the portal pack when it was on sell, and yes they are still worth it. People don't say sources because that can make them go dry Quote
