HawkLord Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I feel like in a way this is the start of a new licensed collectible minifigures line. All these licenses that probably couldn't support full sets are being release in an easier, more manageable format with a better profit margin. It reminds me a bit like Funko Pops. The individual licenses would be too complicated to release as full action figure lines, but as vinyl figures with cartoonish looks, it's easier to produce. Lego might be tapping into a similar model, but through a video game platform - which could help them avoid stepping on other license holder's toes (such as Hasbro). Either way, it's an exciting time to be a Lego and minifigure collector. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Were getting Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts!? Yes :) Quote
skelliesgang Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Gremlins? YASSSS!!! One of my favorites films growing up. Quote
Local Knowledge Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I'm interested to see if they redo Harry and co. with new prints, maybe new hairpieces too for Ron and Harry. Getting tired of the old ones. I'm excited for Harry Potter. I grew up with it and was in the HP mood in 2010/2011. I still love it to this day. But I'm not getting tired of the old ones. I love the hairpieces they used in the 2010/2011 sets! Quote
Borex Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 GIZMO?! I suppose they all will be released as real bricks as well. Man, i might even buy the game since i plan to buy a lot of these packs. Ateam, knight rider, sonic, adventure time, et be welcome in my collection Quote

It's good to see Lego are trying to cover as many licences as possible. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Also - first Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and Midway Arcade, and now E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies, and Gremlins? It's like Ernest Cline is a consulting producer on this game... Quote
TheLEGOChap Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Hopefully today we get a teaser featuring a quick glimpse of a blue streak! Then tomorrow of course a full reveal of all the franchises. Quote

CM4Sci Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) So I watched Gremlins... now I really want Gizmo! I hope he comes with the pink Barbie car Edited June 8, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
strangely Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I'm increasingly excited to see so many classic movie franchises included. There's still so much more I want to see though, so hopefully this game keeps selling well. I would be so happy if they did a level pack for Willy Wonka. Quote
Jbricks Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 2 TTG Packs, so (assuming one is level pack) maximum of three characters, one being Raven. That leaves at least one exclusive to the expensive Jokerland :(. I guess I'll have to pay up! Quote
FrankyCentaur Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 ^ Hopefully the TT version of Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire. The Beast Boy and Robin figures we have now are pretty fine to fit. Quote

I guess I'll have to pay up! eh, I could see Robin getting released under the DC comics banner, which would leave ttg with raven/starfire/beastboy, if all potential slots were used for it. (that or the leaked list isn't final and we'll get more later on) Quote
Local Knowledge Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 So that's Gremlins... now I really want Gizmo! I hope he comes with the pink Barbie car I love Harry Potter (it's my favourite ''new'' brand) but can someone tell me what Gremlins is? And who is Gizmo? Now we just need to convince Cornelius Fudge and the Ministry Of Magic Jokes aside this looks really promising. It's good to see Lego are trying to cover as many licences as possible. Ha ha, love the joke! I'm so happy, really happy that Harry Potter has finally returned to both LEGO and a LEGO video game. This time however, the characters have dialogue! That's so amazing! Here's hoping a few actors return, like Rupert Grint as Ron. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I love Harry Potter (it's my favourite ''new'' brand) but can someone tell me what Gremlins is? And who is Gizmo? Gremlins is a 1984 horror-fantasy-comedy, written by Chris Columbus, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, and directed by Joe Dante. It star Zach Galligan as a young man who recieves an unorthodox Christmas gift - a new pet, in the form of a mysterious creature known as a Mogwai, which he names Gizmo. Mogwai are cute, cuddly, and intelligent little creatures, but come with three important rules for their care: keep them out of bright light, don't get them wet, and never, ever feed them after midnight. Gremlins is all about what happens when the rules get broken, and it's a scream (in more ways than one). A sequel came six years later, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and it's even funnier. (What are they teaching kids in school these days?!) Can't wait to get the Barbie Car :D That's Gizmo, driving a Barbie doll car. And for more, try doing a Google image search for "gizmo" and see what the results look like. This should also give you an idea of how big a thing Gremlins is / was, considering that "gizmo" is also just a word. (Chris Columbus, the writer of Gremlins, also directed the first couple Harry Potter movies. It seems so weird to me that you can be a fan of the latter and not have even heard of that earlier film he wrote, especially considering it was a hit and all.) Quote

Such a great film and Gizmo is adorable. Wasn't he the hero of the film? Like he was enlisted to stop the Gremlins that started creating a mess? Quote

Arguably, yeah. Granted, the Gremlins also wouldn't have existed in the first place if not for him, but it's not his fault the rules got broken. Quote
Ashnflash Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 So is it same to assume that the kid at the end of Dimensions "Phase 1" is the kid from ET or Gremlins Quote
Agent Kallus Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I hope that Luna Lovegood is in one of the HP packs later because we still don't have an official ravenclaw torso (and Diggory for hufflepuff too.) Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I hope that Luna Lovegood is in one of the HP packs later because we still don't have an official ravenclaw torso (and Diggory for hufflepuff too.) Not a very good chance of that happening. Quote
