jonwil Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 (edited) I dont play the game (or even have a console to play it on) but just like I bought the Slimer pack to get the Slimer fig, some of these packs might enter my collection the same way. Sonic looks cool, I want that fig if the price is right (I also want the Ghostbusters and BTTF level packs but cant justify paying the high price for them) Fantastic Beats might be good if it has something unique in terms of minifigs (and again, if the price is right) The one revealed Harry Potter pack doesn't do it for me but the other one might. LEGO City Undercover might be cool although I already own no less than 6 police stations (7 if you count this years jail set as a police station) and have more than enough cops so buying a pack just for another cop makes no sense. The packs for the new Ghostbusters film might be worth a look for parts (same reason I am considering the new Ecto-1 set) None of the other franchises added in this wave interest me. Like others here I am surprised LEGO hasn't added Nexo Knights (a theme that sits in a similar position in LEGO's marketing/lineup as Chima and NinjaGo both of which made it into Dimensions) Edited June 9, 2016 by jonwil Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 It is $49.99 I hope there's a lot of content for that price. At least a full batch of levels. They say "play through the whole movie!" but that better be more in a "One third of Lego Batman" kinda way and not a "Lego Avengers DLC level" kinda way. Plus there's a whole build, so that's a bonus. What are some predictions for other characters from these new franchises? My guesses (From the franchises I like): Sonic: Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Silver, Blaze (These two could be a team pack), Eggman. A-Team: Hannibal, Murdock. Harry Potter: Ron, Hermione, Neville. Also, I kinda want B.A. to have Master-Builder abilities, 'cause of how building things is kind of a big thing in the show. Ha, I think it's safe to say that we're not getting any more A-Team packs, we'll never see Neville, and we'll be more than lucky to see Tails or Knuckles. (Though, I pray we get a level pack with Knuckles called Lego Dimensions & Knuckles ) Quote
EdWebhead Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Funny how we've been waiting for years for a good Sonic game and we get this instead! I'm stoked!!! Really looking forward to Sonic and Harry Potter. ET caught me by surprise, but I'll definitely get him as it's one of my favorite classic films! Quote
Actor Builder Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Wow, Stripe looks way better than Gizmo. I hope he's a real minifigure as well. Mr. T. is fun. I notice his basepate says "The A-Team" and doesn't define it as "Mr. T" or "B.A." or anything, which probably confirms that that is all the A-Team we'll get. Still fun though. The other A-Teamers shouldn't be hard to customize. They're pretty generic looking. I'll bet we get MacGyver in Dimensions Part III. Quote

Blondie-Wan Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Why are there so many 80's franchises like no offence guys and gals but this a kids game(not that should stop playing just that we're not the target demographic) and I don't think that there all that relevant to modern children. Because the '80s were more awesome than all other eras. :p ;) Quote

sunhuntin Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Having seen more from the videos etc, i will expand my wanted list to include ET, Gizmo and maybe Beetlejuice [i didn't see him in the video, so you guys must be able to see what i can't.] Will decide when i see a pic of him. Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 You can see the tornado in the dimensions face book cover. (The tornado is Sonic's plane that Tails uses) Quote
Justin Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 TLG is really banking on nostalgia for Year 2 80s ET Gremlins Beetlejuice Goonies Knight Rider A Team 90s Sonic Mission Impossible Powerpuff Girls 00s Harry Potter 10s Adventure Time Teen Titans Go Fantastic Beasts Ghostbusters Reboot Fixed. The Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup) were introduced in a 1992 cartoon short created by Craig McCracken called "Whoopass Stew!: The Whoopass Girls in a Sticky Situation" as the Whoopass Girls. The name was changed to The Powerpuff Girls when they were first introduced to Cartoon Network in 1995 in their debut on the "What a Cartoon!" show in a short called "The Powerpuff Girls: Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins". A year later, another cartoon short aired on "What a Cartoon!" called "The Powerpuff Girls: Crime 101". In 1998, "The Powerpuff Girls" cartoon show made their debut on the Cartoon Network with their first episode, "Insect Inside". Hope that clears up the history of the Powerpuff Girls for you! Quote

XAxles Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) I mean, look, if you're going for Teen Titans, get the original animated series, not that 1st-grader kids show. Otherwise... holy mother of whoa. All this IP... It's simply mind-boggling! How many more can TLG get, and how can they keep this up? They run the risk of overstuffing the game... though jeez, we haven't gotten Disney's properties yet and inf[IN]ity has since been discontinued. AND we have a Disney CMF line. AND we have a LEGO TFA game. AND we have DLC for the new LEGO Avengers game. If Disney concedes and Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Walt Disney packs get announced, everything will asplode. ASPLODE! Asplode, I tell you! Everything, and everyone(.gif), will just blow up. Like, :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: :cannon: kind of blow up. (The tornado is Sonic's plane that Tails uses) Nah, I personally think it's going to be the Speed Star, as it can transform into 3 vehicles. Also really glad the Sonic figure actually looks good. I was afraid it would look like someone in a Sonic costume or something that looks out of place. Now for the Shadow fun pack, lol. Quote

Dizstractzhun Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Interesting mix up, and even though I am not interested in a few of these brands, I will probably get them all. If I was to say what classic franchises I expect in the future, not including any Disney Infinity brands, I would hopefully see Dukes of Hazard, James Bond and the Karate Kid (Original not remake). kevkipo Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 WB should also look at the theme's they have, and i think they're doing alright already (Lotr, HP, FB) There's some good continuation, they need to do more of that. Quote

It's surprising there's no sign of Looney Tunes yet. They would suit the LEGO style well and who wouldn't buy a Bugs Bunny level pack based on one of the classic cartoons? I have that Sonic amiibo and it's entertaining creating Super Mario courses where you play as Sonic. Quote

They would suit the LEGO style well and who wouldn't buy a Bugs Bunny level pack based on one of the classic cartoons? I am as well, and character models from past games could be easily used too! (Indiana J, The Hobbit, just to name a few), They could also make more expansions on games already released, and these are good ways to release minifigures we'd never would've gotten, i mean we get Newt Scammander! Maybe if the FB Story Pack sells well we'll get sets for the next movies? Like with the Dr? Quote
