Anytime I've ever ordered replacement parts that say out of stock from bricks and pieces, they still ship them out. Every time. Never had them tell me no. I mean, I'm not ordering replacement Killer Croc torsos and Two Face hair, but when I got a used "complete" 06 batcave off eBay last year, they replaced every part that was missing.

I feel like we could get Short Circuit soon. With it being in the IDEAS review and is most likely going to be the one that's accepted, and if they go down the route of adding more 80's IP, we may see it.

One thing I haven't seen brought up yet is the fact the Adventure Time packs are bringing us two versions of a character. There are lots of packs for which the side build (vehicle, gadget, what-have-you) is actually another character or creature, like Shelob the Great, the flying monkey, the terror dog, the velociraptor, K-9, the Dalek, and arguably even the TARDIS itself. But the Adventure Time packs are going a step further, and giving us Jake the Dog in the form of a car in the Level Pack... while the Team Pack gives us the same character, but as a playable character minifigure. Huh.

I don't think Lego would not do console exclusives for this game. They do it with every other Lego game now. Normally Wii u gets screwed over, so I think one time Nintendo getting an exclusive wouldn't hurt.

it all depends on WHAT is exclusive, if it's a character in an already existing franchise, like say, supergirl being exclusive to the PS versions, then it's passable, though unfavorable, but if you mean something like super mario fun packs, then that would be a major problem because not only would that mean a potentially large number of characters unavailable on PS/XBOX, but an entire adventure world, even possibly a story/level pack.

i really doubt lego would do the latter with dimensions, because they've been extremely keen on saying "everything we release will be compatible with that starter pack you already bought."

I was actually thinking about that and hoping at some point we get a Woozy Winks fun pack with a Plastic Man as a car or mailbox or helicopter or some such wacky thing.

I think that would beat out Beetlejuice, Knight Rider, and A-Team for the weirdest, most unexpected get for Lego Dimensions  So obscure yet so much fun!

The thing is, does anyone really care enough about Short Circuit?

Then again, I'd say the same thing about Knight Rider but at least KR has star power in David Hasselhoff.

Well, Short Circuit does at least have an Ideas project that's made it to review (which seems to increase the chances of a franchise in general making it to LEGO Dimensions). Knight Rider has never had that, nor has The A-Team. I'm sure some of the support for the Johnny 5 project came about just because of the quality of the build, and some just because it's a cool robot design that can be appreciated even by people who've never seen the movies, but it does also give at least one indicator of Short Circuit awareness & interest that we don't have for Knight Rider or The A-Team.

The companies that have partnered with LEGO for Dimensions know what they're doing. Each of the older franchises we're getting in year 2 are rumoured to be getting sequels/reboots.

Skylanders has console exclusive figures don't see why Lego couldn't do it with nintendo.

LEGO sued Nintendo about some clone brick brand, not the best friendship. :P

I doubt they'll do another ET. They tried it before but Steven Spielberg realised his idea for a sequel was rubbish and it didn't go any further.

Actually yes that is the exception in this case, but there's supposedly sequels for Gremlins, Goonies and Beetlejuice in the works as well as A-Team and Knight Rider reboots.

Tomorrow is Sonic's 25th anniversary, I'm 95% sure we'll get a little bit of Sonic gameplay.

I can understand Gremlins but Goonies? Beetlejuice? A-Team? Really? I've heard about the Knight Rider one and have no idea how that'll even work considering most modern day cars are like Kitt.

Good point. I hope we get some Sonic The Hedgehog gameplay.

I think this is probably the key obstacle to console-exclusive figures — Warner Bros. has really been pushing the idea of total compatibility with this game, which seems to have been a conscious decision to try and exploit the weaknesses of competing toys-to-life games.

If it were just a matter of Nintendo and LEGO being willing to cooperate, I would see no problem. Nintendo hasn't been afraid to license their characters out for use in Skylanders Superchargers, and even found a way to make the figures function as both Skylanders and Amiibo figures. But the idea of console exclusivity might run counter to the message LEGO Dimensions has been pushing.

That was decades ago, and LEGO and Nintendo have since collaborated on LEGO City: Undercover (which was a Wii U exclusive title). There was even a LEGO-themed Nintendo Direct to promote LEGO City Undercover, featuring a LEGO version of then-president Satoru Iwata (may he rest in peace). I think it's safe to say the two companies have buried the hatchet by now. Considering Nintendo and Sega are now getting along (the two having once been extremely bitter rivals), it's hard to imagine that Nintendo would still hold a grudge against LEGO, since the companies' core products were never really in competition in the first place.

Actually, I 'd be amazed if 'The A-Team' and 'Knight Rider' will be rebooted any time soon...

Both have had failed reboot attempts fairly recently (2010's 'The A-Team' movie and the 2008 'Knight Rider' show)

MacGyver's getting a new show though...

MacGyver, LEGO! MacGyver! :p

Ya I saw the full collection sitting there next to my TV and I thought that too!

I'm not even too bummed out about GA because he isn't even voiced by the one and only Stephen Amell so really it's no Green Arrow.. It's only a Green Legolas lacking Green Arrowness

The problem with Knight Rider is that the car just isn't futuristic anymore. You would have to make significant changes to Kitt and that would **** off the fans of the show (the only ones who currently care about Knight Rider). The A Team makes more sense but only because Mr T still has a few spinoff shows.
