Also on the point of Wizard of Oz minifigs, wouldn't a CMF series be cool? Probably the only way we'd get the rest of the characters.

CMF for Dimensions would be cool and then you could make more characters playable with those because you wouldn't have worry if they don't have a vehicle. if they did one i would like to see Dorthy, The Tinman, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and maybe if they didn't want to get give them a pack or not but Green Lantern and Flash. you see characters like the Flash and Green Lantern would make excellent use of abilities in the game. because they have actually superpowers. but i would also like to see some of the goonies in physical form because incase you don't know Sloth is the only physical character your going to be to get. but in game Sloth you can switch between all of the goonies. but one last thing you must know! we are getting two harry potter packs.

Unless the price per minifig goes up there's no way there's enough budget in a CMF for a minifig and a toy tag. I'd say the only chance would be the figs packed by themselves.

Only problem is what would these characters do? They need some abilities to be viable characters.

They don't need abilities. It would just be fun to play as those characters. The Doctor doesn't feel right without a companion.

Not sure if anyone has brought up the final cutscene and who the guy was, but when I saw the flesh hand and red sleve all I could think of was Fry from Futurama (I can almost swear I can hear his voice groaning at the start). Pretty unlikely considering alot of the episodes are quite inappropriate for younger audiences and this could be anyone or anythings hand. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I disagree. Characters need to have at least SOME abilities that make them useful in gameplay, though I wouldn't consider it essential for those abilities to be one-of-a-kind (since having choices of which characters will help you get past obstacles is nice too, and the abilities of their mini-build/vehicle could offer additional incentives to buy the pack).

That said, even if there were to be additional Doctor Who packs, there are a wide variety of non-companion characters who would have a wider range of abilities AND a more distinctive appearance than most of the Doctor's companions. For example, Strax or The Master would both offer a much wider range of abilities than characters like Rose Tyler, Amy, or Clara, along with being more visually distinctive than ordinary human characters.

In past Lego games, there were maybe one or two characters per game that were totally useless. BUT, they also didn't cost $15 each. Unfortunately, Dimensions may be the wrong place to introduce many of the Dr Who characters.

Futurama was made for a younger audience than The Simpsons, therefore there's no reason why Futurama couldn't be included.

To me, it's not the abilities that make playing as the characters fun though. It's the ability to play as the characters you love and want to see interact with characters from other franchises. I couldn't care less about the abilities personally, I just want to be able to play as Bill and Missy from Doctor Who in addition to the Doctor at the very least.

But that's not the point though. The point is that the Doctor feels odd without a companion. I'd rather see a companion as the next Doctor Who NFC minifigure than a non-companion so you can have the Doctor with his companion on the Toy Pad.

So.. I got this over the weekend!

It's pretty fun so far, I haven't had much time to play it. Already have a couple packs. I'm sort of getting the hang of it. Not sure if I'm willing to get all the packs.

Can't wait for the new wave! I for sure need the AT and Sonic packs!

Aww man, I pray that that's true! I'd say it's no more out of Lego's reach than Simpsons, it only goes a little farther on average than Simpsons does.

As far as character abilities, there are so many characters in this game whose abilities are such a massive stretch. Homer shouldn't have super strength, Slimer uses a hot dog as a boomerang, it's all a matter of creatively forcing these abilities to happen for some characters. These guys found ways to use characters that I couldn't ever dream of. If anybody could make Marge Simpson or Claire useful, it's them.

As for unique, weren't we just all scrambling for a way to get Green Arrow, the guy we already know is a Legolas clone? There's more value in the character than the abilities.

Actually, I just watched that video, and I can promise that that's not Billy West. I think it's just some generic figure that became Lord Vortech, or became another Lord Vortech, or something. Futurama would still be really nice, though. I'm surprised that with a whole Simpsons world and two separate forms of time travel that there wasn't a single Futurama reference. Maybe if we get more Simpsons/Doctor Who/Back to the Future content they could add a little something, even if it's just a Planet Express ship flying by for a second or a Slurm machine somewhere.

What about Shadow? He would use the same mold as Sonic, so it wouldn't be too hard to produce. They're rivals, so it would be a great pairing.

Now I have question about Teen Titans Go has Deathstroke appeared on the show? Because if so i would like to see him in a pack even if he looks cartooney or not i just want him playable. Plus we need more villains playable and after all deathstroke is their archenemy.

The episode Return of Slade is a cheap episode with the Titans preparing to fight their arch nemesis only for it to be glossed over so while he exists he hasn't actually appeared in the flesh

I completely disagree. LEGO Dimensions is about playing with characters you love and mashing them with other franchises. The target audience care about characters they are familiar with or from brands that they enjoy, not how interesting they are to look at. And many of the companions ARE visually interesting anyway. Plus: who wouldn't want to see Rose Tyler and Peter Venkman fight Death Eaters in Jurassic World?

What if they are in-game characters only, have ONE interesting ability, and cycle to a different companion each time they die? Actually, that last idea is rather morbid and I can imagine players killing themselves constantly to cycle through to the companion they want. Maybe have a closet in the Tardis where you can hop in to switch to another companion, similar to what Romana did when she switched bodies.

Because the name was considered too morbid for both the original and TTG even though it was fine for Young Justice

His codename was considered not suitable for a children's show. Interestingly enough, 13 years later, his codename is spoken quite often forwards and backwards in the children's movie: LEGO Justice League Gotham City Breakout.

Look I love Doctor Who and would love it if we got any packs. But could we please just stop this debate and take it somewhere else.. It's filling this thread up.. It's speculation NOT ideas that's in another thread.

So why hasn't the set numbers for PPG, Beetlejuice and LBM been relased yet (or leaked yet I guess ).
