I think most, if not all, are selling very well, considering the amount of people who 'gotta catch them all.' There are also a lot of people who want all the abilities, and kids like Chima, TLM. I for one have almost all the LEGO Movie packs, and every Chima pack. (Chima was at 5 below, so I grabbed them)

Now a question... I want to get all the packs, but I'm missing about half of year 1... Should I buy them in order of release, because I'm worried they may retire soon. My wallet is gone for now so I'm waiting to Christmas, but I need to know what packs are going to retire sooner than others. I'm thinking just go in order of release, so wave 1, wave 2, etc, or should I go in order of my favorites, or what I need for 100%. I just need Homer and Midway for 100% gold bricks and stuff.

Which leads to another question: when will these start retiring?

well I have all of them except for Kai's and Cole's team pack. I need to get that to complete all of my year one collection. I don't plan on getting Supergirl and Green Arrow since I already have them as minifigures from the lego dc comics theme. plus i don't want to pay $30 to $50 for a minifigure that I already own but also has the same abilities as Legolas or Superman. but to answer your question. I think the Chima stuff will be the first to retire. because I notice at all of the stores i go to there are just like huge bins of the chima packs. its because most people are interested in the licensed stuff like Back to the Future and DC comics.

For those looking to pickup some sets on the cheap, Best Buy is having a sale with up to 70% of Dimensions sets. Starts 10pm Central today and ends Saturday at 11:59 central.

Edit: I should clarify, the ad says "Up to 70% off". This means that there is a chance some of the sets will be over half off but that doesn't mean every set will be. No details have been released on this yet. Likely the 70% will come to some of the fun packs with the rest receiving lesser discounts and there is no telling what they will even include in this.

Chima seems already retired in some regions; not available at S@H in The Netherlands.

Other than that, i think it's best to first get the ones you like the most! If there's multiple to chose from, get the oldest.

Yes but "up to 70% off". They haven't released details yet but my guess is Fun Packs will have the biggest discounts.

Ya that was my philosophy too. Homer and a Chima pack were the last ones I bought to achieve the 100%

Not sure if anyone caught this, but on the twitch stream earlier they said that each Year 2 pack has an exclusive battle arena, they then went on to say they think that there's 22 battle arenas, so we're getting about 22 packs.

I think that is the exact count we are getting. Each pack is getting an arena, because LEGO said Hermione will have one along with the one in the Harry / Voldy pack. So, that is helpful towards speculators.

Wait, each pack unlocks a unique battle arena? I thought the way it worked was that each pack could unlock the singular battle arena for that franchise (similarly to how any Ninjago character in Season One could unlock the Ninjago Adventure World but it didn't matter which character you used). Does this mean that, say, Supergirl and Green Arrow each unlock different DC Super Heroes arenas? Or that Finn and Jake unlock different Adventure Time arenas?

That would be correct. They aren't essential to the game, they're just add on characters to appease fans of Green Arrow and Supergirl

My doubts are Adventure Time and Powerpuff Girls, as they will probably make one of the girls transfer into all the girls, and we already have 3 Adventure Time packs. Ghostbusters is a possibility as it said (?) on the leaked list GB 2. I'm still assuming a second Batman Movie pack or Teen Titans Go! with a Robin minifig. Hopefully Batman Movie, but still, TTG would be fine.

actually it was confirmed a couple months ago there are exactly 24 packs. in some of the interviews and i think the press release they said there was 24 packs.

There were 38 packs in Year 1 including the Starter Pack. That's a HUGE drop off.
