Starscream759 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Based on what? Wave 8 is most likely Jan, and Wave 9 is most likely March, Well for now it's just guessing on my end. Who knows? But for now let's just enjoy the first wave for the time being. Quote

BatmanFanboy Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) For me Abby, Gizmo and Newt just to be curious why do you like Abby? let me guess your a ghostbusters 2016 aren't you?! In my opinion I just wish TT games didn't include in the game. They are probably regretting it now after all the backlash the movie has been getting. I am not one of those people who said it ruined my childhood because it didn't I still have the Originals but the reason why I don't like the movie is because well after all those things the cast and director said to the fans like saying your sexist for not liking the movie. No its just I am a simple man I see a bad movie I dislike it. But back on topic who do think is going to be in that other pack for ghostbusters 2016. my guess is probably Rowan or Kevin or Mayhem.. I think they started regretting it the moment the huge backlash started. The movie was a massive bomb at the box office so I doubt many people are going to be buying the new GB packs. Their absolute biggest mistake was giving it its own Story Pack, the most expensive type. Like it or hate it (and yes, it's not a good movie,) it WAS a mistake to plan so far ahead thinking that the new movie was going to be a success. But hey, you don't have to buy it. No reason to be sad its in the game. Edited August 26, 2016 by FrankyCentaur Quote

The thing is, a bad movie does not necessarily translate to a bad Lego game, I think the story pack will still be worth playing through, especially since it will inevitably get heavily discounted. I am still buying the Ghostbusters 2016 packs even though I hated the movie. Because I want all of the packs and characters. But yeah it was a huge bomb at the box office. I thought they would have done a story pack for something else like maybe Batman V Superman or Suicide Squad you know because that's their own company's property. I mean just look at Fantastic Beasts and The Lego Batman movie both are Warner Brothers movies! Edited August 26, 2016 by BatmanFanboy Quote

No reason to be sad its in the game. The director and cast didn't say people were sexist for not liking the movie; thre said they were sexist for being sexist. :p As far as the Story Pack goes, it could still do well. The movie being a flop isn't because it wasn't popular at all; it's just a flop because it wasn't popular enough to cover its production and marketing costs. But plenty of people did see it. Had the movie been seen by the same number of people but just been significantly less expensive, it could have been a hit. What matters as far as LEGO Dimensions is concerned is whether enough people like the new movie to want to play as those characters in the game, and that's a much lower threshold to pass than the one required to make the movie a success. Don't get me wrong; none of that is to say it'll do well for the game. It could still flop. Certainly being based on a movie that has gotten so much negative attention (warranted or not) isn't likely to help, and I think neither is the fact it's the first of an expensive new pack type that costs half as much as the Starter Pack all by itself. But we'll see. Quote

Disliking the movie and saying TT should not put it in the game is generally hate. Disliking something is not the same as hate. Hate implies a strong dislike, not just regular distaste.Going back to Lego Dimensions, I am okay with the Ghostbusters Story Pack existing(even though I wasn't a big fan of the movie), because it'll probably still be fun to play. I didn't hate the movie but I just didn't like it. I plan on buying all packs even though I don't like some of the properties Teen Titans Go and Ghostbusters 2016. Those Feminazis attacking James Rolfe made it even worse. I agree with James Rolfe This is a free country we all have a choice to do something or to not do something! But to stay back on topic because I don't want to get us in trouble. Why are they releasing both second Ghostbusters and Harry Potter packs next year. Why aren't they releasing them with Wave 7? Blondie-Wan Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Yeah they kind of did say that if you didn't want to see it you're sexist (especially with the attack on James Rolfe). If by "kind of did say" you mean "didn't really say, but were widely misinterpreted as saying", then yes. The cast and the director were saying most of the comments were sexist when they weren't. Most of the people were just sick and tired of remakes or reboots. Including myself. The cast and director were saying the sexist comments were sexist, which they were. I'm honestly not sure just what percentage or how many of the comments were sexist vs. just opposing a remake/reboot in general, but I do know there was an absolute torrent of the former - certainly in the thousands, and enough to make it difficult to respond to anything else. Anyway... as far as LEGO Dimensions goes, I imagine the Story Pack will be fun (but then of course I like the movie). I'm looking forward to it more than I am the LEGO Batman Movie and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them packs, but I think I'd like all of them anyway... though right now, I still don't have the game at all, or a console that can run it, and don't know when I will, alas. BatmanFanboy Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) Can we go back to talking about Lego Dimensions before we get at each others throats? well I tried too! but I want to now because I have a question. Why are they not releasing Hermione and the second Ghostbusters pack in wave 7? why are they waiting until next year? Because it would make sense they release around the same time as the other packs. I mean just look at Fantastic Beasts both packs for that are being released at the same time! If by "kind of did say" you mean "didn't really say, but were widely misinterpreted as saying", then yes. Well you are probably more excited for Ghostbusters story pack right now because well Fantastic Beasts and The Lego Batman Movie aren't out in theaters yet. we haven't seen those movies yet! So you could like the other story packs more when you see the movies for those story packs. But back on topic my most excited story pack is The Lego Batman movie. which seems like we might be getting the batcave as the portal build but also Lego Movie Batman most likely! Because in year one they make it very clear that Lego Movie Batman is very different from Lego Video Game Batman! Which that means Lego Movie Batman will probably have some different abilities than lego video game Batman. Edited August 27, 2016 by BatmanFanboy Quote

FrankyCentaur Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Last thing I'll say on the topic, I think it's a bad movie, but it's absolutely okay to like bad things. There's a lot of things I like that I'd consider bad, and not in the Room kind of I like it because it's bad way. And that's fine. No one should be mean to anyone because they like something that they consider bad, and they can consider it to be good. I don't think anyone here was trying to disrespect opinions at all, and people also need to respect the opinions of people that think something is bad *as well.* Anyway, back to Lego Dimensions... wahoo less than a month now.
