The EthStu Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Peter Capaldi is a very busy actor because he's one of the most accomplished British TV actors. Doctor Who also generally takes up a lot of time. As for Chris Pratt, it's more the fact that he's a major Hollywood star than how LEGO probably have him as a contact. If they can get Chris Pratt then Daniel Radcliffe should be easy. Daniel Radcliffe is more open to returning to the role than before. I don't know if that's the case. In an interview with The Sun(that was posted about a week ago) He stated that he doesn't want to return to Harry Potter at the moment. However, he is open to returning as Harry Potter 10 to 20 years down the line. Quote
BatmanFanboy Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Thank you, but I've played the game to 100% (you couldn't know that). The point was and is, without reliable sources, it's not confirmed, it's just a rumor. With LC:UC, it's very likely to be true, and I expect it to be true, but still just a rumor. Thank you very much for digging that up. It's not Twitter as BatmanFanboy claimed, and it's clearly paraphrased, but it's good enough for me. For whatever reason, for the last few thread pages, I though we were talking about Chase being able to switch between characters (e.g. Rex Fury, Frank Honey, etc.), but I see now that it's just suits/uniforms (BatmanFanboy never claimed otherwise). That is not as unexpected. I am very excited about Dimensions LC:UC and will buy it on its release date. I just don't want to get my expectations up for what may not be in the final pack. Oh that's right I'm sorry! I thought it was twitter. But I forgot that was the A-Team that was confirmed on twitter you can switch between all of the members with B.A. So I'm sorry. Quote
TheLEGOChap Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 The Supergirl starter pack is up for pre-order on Amazon, it costs £30 more than the original starter pack, so essentially £30 just for Supergirl... Quote
npgcole Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 I hope there aren't any Gold Bricks that come from the battle arenas. I have enough of the Year 1 packs to be able to 100% the game (Still working on that), but if the new Battle arenas have Gold Bricks, then one would need to get EVERY Year 2 pack to catch 'em all this time. pittpenguin123 Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Still, would returning to provide the voice really matter to him that much that he'd have to boycott it? If he dosn't want to do the role he dosn't want to. Simple as that. Voice acting is a hard job and if he dosn't want to do it, it's his choice. Quote

BatmanFanboy Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 It's Samus Aran from the Metroid series. Oh that's who it is. I was wondering who that was because she looked Familiar. I sure hope Nintendo lets some of their characters in Lego Dimensions. I really want Mario and some Pokemon as minifigures. But hey if they can't get them I wouldn't mind them getting someone like Pac-Man who is not owned by Nintendo but just like Sonic he was in smash bros. its possible for him to be in two games at once since Sonic has both an amiibo and a lego dimensions minifigure. I think Pac-Man could one of the Video Game franchises for year 3 but I don't want to make this a wishlist. its just an idea to keep Lego Dimensions going. Quote

The tricky part about Nintendo characters is that Nintendo doesn't like their characters appearing on other consoles. So if there were to be an actual character owned by Nintendo in Lego Dimensions, it would have to be made nonfunctional on Xbox and Playstation systems, and I don't know if TT Games is interested in segmenting things that way. Even Supergirl's exclusivity to Playstation starter packs is a timed exclusive to my knowledge, and the figure itself would likely work on any version of the game. Of course, Pac-Man is not owned by Nintendo, so it'd be possible without that sort of limitation... but I'd have to wonder whether he'd be well-suited to Lego or to this sort of game, given his bizarre body type, limited pool of bizarre abilities, and lack of relevant potential mini-builds. If any other third-party Smash alums were to be added, I would think that Mega Man would be a better fit (especially now that characters with their own ability wheels like Finn, Jake, and Chase McCain are being added). Lego City was a Wii U exclusive game which is nintendo. Now its in the game. Pac Man could work as a minifigure. you just need to give a new mold for his head. I having a feeling that Pac Man and Minecraft could be added next year. Quote

Ashnflash Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a classic! But I'm not sure if this should be being discussed here... I can't believe though that it is less than a month away now! And it's been almost a year since Year 1 came out! Quote

Lyichir Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) Lego City was a Wii U exclusive game which is nintendo. Now its in the game. Pac Man could work as a minifigure. you just need to give a new mold for his head. I having a feeling that Pac Man and Minecraft could be added next year. Lego City Undercover may have been a Wii U exclusive, but neither the Lego City franchise nor any of the characters belong to Nintendo. That's a huge distinction from characters like Mario, Link, Samus, etc. that are wholly owned by Nintendo, or even characters like Pac-Man or Sonic who belong to other companies. Also, consider me skeptical that a new head piece would be sufficient for Pac-Man. His arms attach to the sides of his wide, round body, in a way that a standard torso couldn't really suffice. If he were to be added to the game, I think it'd have to be done with either a custom upper body or even an entirely custom figure design like Slimer or the Angry Birds figs. Even then, I just don't know if Pac-Man would be a good fit for the game. Unlike Sonic, who brings with him a vast universe of characters, vehicles, and settings established over a long series of games, Pac-Man's games have almost always been light on story and don't really offer much along those same lines. One question, what franchise you want in the game? For me must have Jumanji, MIB and Flintstones Well, firstly I'd love to have some more of Lego's own in-house brands represented. Friends, Elves, Nexo Knights, and Bionicle would be amazing inclusions (though at this point the last of those is more unlikely than ever). Beyond that, I would love to get packs based on Steven Universe and Avatar: The Last Airbender and/or The Legend of Korra (the first of those is most likely being a Warner Bros. property via Cartoon Network). PicnicBasketSam Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Avatar packs?! Oh I never thought of that... LEGO, MAKE IT HAPPEN! The last time they tried those characters was 10 years ago, and now they have perfect pieces for Zuko's Book One hair and attaching flame pieces to minifig hands... Quote
Jim Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 One question, what franchise you want in the game? For me must have Jumanji, MIB and Flintstones There's a separate Dimensions Wish List topic. Your question is already being answered there. Let's keep this discussion about actual information. Quote
