One of the e3 diorama shows the Back to the Future Delorean. It's pretty much the Lego Ideas version EXCEPT that they replace the monstrous tiled hood with what seems like a large slope piece, like in the original model. So even Lego wants to forget about that poor design decision.

You can see it at the end of this instagram video: https://instagram.com/p/4AOacDRfo7/

Wow. Thats right up Just2Good's alley. Lego Dimensions seems like an after thought just to give us a Lego objects that we wanted without the company having to redo the sets, (which is all fin by me)

Er, wait - why have they printed his left arm? The Ghostbusters emblem should be on the right.

Maybe its on both? *huh*

Very observant of you by the way.

Venkman looks much better with the new hair. I'm curious to see what they will give us with the ghostbusters (assuming they produce them all). I hope a good slimer of course, a stay puft and a terrordog. Very clever to use updates on these figs. Even people who bought the cuusoo set would want to buy these dimension packs as well as an upgrade for their cuusoo set. Smart move lego.

Fbtb has more pics from that Dimensions video. Including the cloud cuckoo land. Has some illegal building techniques.

Pretty nice looking models and great idea to promote Lego Dimensions. :classic::thumbup:

Ah, good. I couldn't make out the patch in the image earlier.

That said, it does now vex that we finally have 1/4 of the team looking right, but not the other three, and the fact his base just has the "no ghosts" emblem instead of something more specific to him has me worry that he's the only Ghostbusters we'll get. But we'll see...

Actually PC gaming is surging back. http://www.cnet.com/...ing-a-comeback/

That being said, I agree dimensions will do just fine and most likely will add a pc version in the future based on sales growth.

I too don't own any supported console and have a computer connected to the TV for family gaming. I don't see any downside for a PC version to be released. There is no point pirating the game since it requires the portal hardware and an internet connection. The portal connects via USB for all versions, so no new version needs to be made. Besides, most of the money will be made off the platform-agnostic add-on packs so an extra platform will only bring in more money, especially from the AFOLs that primarily just use computers.

Why Lego chooses to be stubborn is beyond me, hell even Rockstar put GTA V on PC

I think my point still stands regardless of what the market is projected to do in a year and a half. Even if it turns out to be true, PC sales will only be slightly ahead of consoles by the end of next year which is a year and a half away. It will be that way until several years later when they can really build momentum.

PC gaming is more targeted at older teens and adults anyways. It doesn't have the same ease of use and a large part of why that article says PC gaming is growing has little to do with kids who are the main targets of the Dimensions game. An 8-12 year old cares little about e-sports or online gaming, and I don't think Lego is huge in India (though it is getting bigger in China). Furthermore not a single one of the other toys to life games are offered on Pc after several years so I wouldn't expect Dimensions to be either. At least not for several more years, if it is even around after that.

Lego Dimensions is on WiiU. So does that mean the WiiU user base is larger than that of the PC user base? Or larger than the AFOL user base that also have a PC. I kind of doubt it. You can argue that Lego Dimensions is for kids, but so far, all the marketing for Lego Dimensions is toward adults. Something is not right.

Dimensions on the WiiU means little more than Lego expects it to be a popular sell on that system. It doesn't mean the WiiU is more popular than the PC, it just means the sales on that system are a better match for Lego's target market.

I have said it three times now.. why are NONE of the other toys to life games on PC? Amiibo, Skylanders, and Infinity are all strictly on consoles. A fact you keep totally neglecting. Why would Lego decide to be the only one to make their toys to life on the PC? In fact they have already told us what systems will support Dimensions and the PC is not listed.

Of course things could change in a few years if PC gaming gets immensely more popular among children, but as of right now it just seems like a pipe dream. People who don't own a console are trying to justify it being made for the PC for their own gain. Sure PC sales may over take consoles, but even then that doesn't mean it's a good fit for the Dimensions platform. Mobile games are also immensely popular, should they make Dimensions for that as well?

You're arguing that PC is not worth it because it can't outsell the sum of all consoles while the guy above makes a good point... if they made a PC version, I'm willing to bet it would outsell the Wii U, hell, even the PS3 and Xbox360 most likely. Now that 360 games can be played on the Xbox 1, the 360 is officially a relic, Lego is going to regret it.

I'm not sure what WB Games' reason for not releasing this on PC is (or what the reasons of the other toys-to-life manufacturers are), but the fact remains — if this game is anywhere near as popular as Skylanders or Disney Infinity then it should be able to survive just fine without a PC release. Will it reach peak sales potential? Perhaps not. But there's no reason to think it will flop without a PC release when that hasn't happened to either of its major competitors in the toys-to-life category.

I'm arguing there is a reason that three totally separate companies, all who make similar toys to life games, don't make their game for the PC. If they don't, why would Lego? We aren't talking one or two companies here, we are talking four totally separate companies and their very similar products, none of which have PC support at the moment. There is obviously a reason they are doing this.

I would be willing to bet it's because toys to life games generally target a younger crowd and console games are generally geared towards a younger crowd as well. PC gaming on the other hand is more targeted at hardcore older teens and adults. That's not to say adults don't play toys to life games, or young kids don't play PC games, but it's a general rule of thumb. I am sure these companies have much more research that has justified their decision. Of course this could all change in a few years if PC gaming surpasses console gaming by enough, and the target demographs switch preferred systems.

With that said you would be surprised how popular certain types of games are on systems. Just because the Wii U may not be near as popular as say the PC as a whole doesn't mean most of the people playing the PC are actually interested in something like Dimensions. Also you vastly under estimate the number of PS3 and Xbox 360 owners. As of right now, there are over 80 million Xbox 360s sold. In comparison Xbox One only has around 12 million units sold. The PS3 has around the same as the Xbox 360 (85m), but it's PS4 has sold around 22 million world wide to date. That's a TON of people with older systems that are still using them. This isn't a few decades ago where everyone updated their system asap because it was such a huge leap in technology. Now people are holding on to their old systems much longer and waiting for discounts before upgrading.

I hear what you're saying. What is strange is that Lego Dimensions is developed by TT and from the looks of it, it will have pretty much the same gameplay as all their other games (save the few added actions from the portal thingy). But all their other games are released on the PC. Warner Bros., the publisher of Dimensions, is publishing Lego Marvel's Avengers for PC. Now slap in some toys and suddenly the PC becomes an adult-only platform? I'm not sure about skylander, but I think adults are very much into the nintendo amiibo and lego dimensions figures.

Maybe they don't want to see kids cry when the adults buy up all the figures and then try to ebay it back to the kids at extreme markup.

+1 to the "don't have a console, won't buy one just for the sake of buying a game so that when I buy an add-on pack for the actual Lego I can actually use the game part" club.

I don't understand why it's so hard and "not worth it" to release this for PC, when all the other TT Lego games have been. I suppose it just means that my decision is made for me: I won't be buying this game despite my interest.
