SandMirror38 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Anyone know anymore news on the display cases for the Dimensions packs? Quote
Jared Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Just got an e-mail from Best Buy that my order was dispatched and I should get it earliest tomorrow! Ordered Portal 2 and WOZ!! Really hope that's true, that would be awesome! Quote
Actor Builder Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Well, LEGO minifigures don't know they're LEGO You'd think they'd know. I mean, it's printed on all of their body parts. Quote
Transparency for Effect Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I so want there to be some kind of call back or reference between Batman and Scooby-Doo characters to their previous crossovers... Quote
kelceycoe Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 You'd think they'd know. I mean, it's printed on all of their body parts. Yea but it's kinda a "fourth wall" thing like in acting. They might as well as just look into the camera while they're at it. I know the toys in Toy Story acknowledge their tags but I think it's more awesome if the LEGO toys in the movie actually act like that is their reality to them. I know in the movie they were just toys played with by a kid (and that kinda ruined it for me) but it's really best when the entire world is a whole other reality. Quote
Savage Oppress Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Is the Gateway in the Starter Pack required to play through the entire game, or can I play through the game without using it at all like the other Lego games? Quote
Ordinareo Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Is the Gateway in the Starter Pack required to play through the entire game, or can I play through the game without using it at all like the other Lego games? Yes, you need to use the Gateway to progress through the game. Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Well, LEGO minifigures don't know they're LEGO, but it is odd that it wasn't used in the live-action real-world scenes at the end. Maybe they didn't want it to seem like an advert for LEGO? Quote
legonerd54321 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I wish they could include the Iron Giant. It's recognizable, it's a (sorta) classic, and it's owned by Warner Bros. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I wish they could include the Iron Giant. It's recognizable, it's a (sorta) classic, and it's owned by Warner Bros. Nothing "sorta" about it; it's definitely a classic. That said, I'm not sure it would lend itself to this sort of game as easily as some other properties. Quote

Thanks, I figured that not saying "LEGO" was an artistic move from the directors, but it is kind of humorous to imagine the characters seeing "LEGO" printed on all of their coffee cups, hats, walls, oceans, tools, weapons, etc. without ever questioning why it's there. I always figured that they knew they were LEGO, but it was just a normal thing. They knew what they were, they just didn't know that they were toys. If that makes sense. I noticed on the Dimensions Facebook page that they liked all of the licenses that are included in the game. Plus the LEGO Hobbit video game. I wonder if that means that The Hobbit will appear eventually. Quote

8BrickMario Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 L Lego The Hobbit and Lego Lord of the Rings is the same license, they feature the same characters. They are separate LEGO themes, and only one of them has been represented in Dimensions. Hopefully, we'll get some of the Hobbit-exclusive characters. I'm trying not to watch any gameplay videos, because I really don't want to end up addicted to this game and its wallet-destroying expansions, but even so, I still really want it! Quote
kevkipo Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Since A-Team was suggested, could be they'd tie in with this? http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/markcassidycbm/news/?a=125329 Quote

My previous promise exploded within, like, 15 minutes. I must say that the first level looks amazing. Now I want the Wicked Witch of the West. Darn you, LEGO. Quote

CM4Sci Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 No, I think she's in Wave 2 with Doctor Who and stuff. ..Really? This whole time I thought she was a Wave 1 release. Guess I'm not getting anything for this wave.. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) So far, my only Wave 1 purchase will be the Wicked Witch. Is there any word on the shelf life of each wave? I'd hate to miss out on someone I want just because my budget's not high enough. Basically, I'll be collecting new characters and/or sets with new minifig molds. No, everything we've seen says she (in her Portal Level Pack) is part of Wave 1. She should therefore be available in just a few days now. Quote

Just checked, shes in wave one, i assume this idea is due to the familygamer unboxing video not having her, considering this is portals debut in lego form they probably didnt have it in stock, or something like that. but shes definitely wave one Oops, beat me to it Blondie-Wan Edited September 24, 2015 by BluePulse Quote

I'm forbidding myself from buying anything from Wave 1 until I get Doctor Who Level Pack in Wave 2. My life is not complete without a teeny Peter Capaldi on my desk. Quote
