DuckBricks Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) The Dimensions app is finally on the Apple App store; it includes every character that's been revealed. Pretty nice app, though the transitions make my head hurt... ;) Edit: Also, can anyone verify the release date for Wave 2? I heard November 3, but the app says November 6... Any insights? Thanks! DuckBricks Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Much to my surprise the two sets of LEGO Dimensions cards i got were exactly the same. The front and backcards are blanks leaving you with only 4 cards per pack. A review of this would be a very disapointing one. The 2nd of November when i go there again to pick up several sets, i will ask for more cards and hopefully get a few other packs. However they are of what i would consider decent quality and quite nice pictures of a few favorites of mine. Benny and *Unikitty for sure. Also got a Gollum LOTR and Laval from chima. The Gollum is somewhat funny, being in a mech of some sort. Ive never seen it before. I will just leave you with a picture of them all for now. I can only confirm that the release date for Denmark is 2nd of November. The first wave we had to wait till 2nd of October where other countries had the date set for 27 of September. Quite confusing to say the least. Thanks for sharing... To bad there's no new artwork as these all are from a poster on the Dimensions site... Gollum is in the game depiction of Cyborg's mech. Also, huh, the second? That's odd. Guess I'll have to wait and see... Edited October 23, 2015 by legozebra Quote

AyliffeMakit Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Question: If I bought a fun pack/level pack from italy europe, would it work with my UK version of the game? EDIT: Just found out that Dimensions isn't being released in italy, which is a bit of a shame. However, an answer to this question would still be interesting. EDIT: Just found out that Dimensions isn't being released in italy, which is a bit of a shame. However, an answer to this question would still be interesting. I'd hope Toy Tag podiums would be region free much like the Nintendo Amiibo. So as long as you had a copy of the game for your region it would work. No not stating a fact here just a hope. Also why is Italy getting such a embargo on the game? Are copyright laws tougher there or something cause I hate to hear anyone not get to play these games. Quote
Plokman Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Being from Denmark, i heard in Danish news when they had a coworker from LEGO in an interview and made a review of the game. They are testing premilary in the Danish and the American market first of all. Im pretty sure it will succed and you will have a release next year. A side fact is that the dude rating it, who is very hard on a lot of game brands, rated it 6 of 6 which to me is cool since i sooo love LEGO offcourse. Oh I'm from the US myself I just want Lego to be truly international. I do hope that the testing phase in the US and Denmark go well. Or should I say Leg-godt? Quote
Plokman Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I think its due to the cost of the soundtrack. The cost of actors making the audio for each language is probably quite expensive. But its also sort of a pita. I do enjoy the Danish soundtrack when playing with my sisters kids, but i would so also love to hear the original soundtrack. Any clues on how i change that on a PS3 ? And indeed leg godt all of you ... A sidenote is that my nick translates into something like Block brick in English. Nice history for ya screen name my friend. I never even thought about the soundtrack and vocie actor cost. That is indeed a costly thing I hope it works out though. As for your PS3 I have to quote a old bronze robot. "Not a clue." I only have a Wii U and it's a US model. Hope you figure it out. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Today i was at my local toystore, they didnt have the LEGO Dimensions set i wanted, but the guy working their offered me some LEGO Dimensions cards for free, i begged for two packs and got it. Some sort of merchandise. Sorry i havent got any pictures of them yet, i was just wondering since i cant recall having seen them throughout this topic, if they are new ? I havent even opened them yet, but im thinking of making a short review of them if they are new to LEGO Dimensions, for the fun of it, and since im so inspired by those of you users doing a hell of a job making reviews here on EB . Each pack contains 6 cards though. What store is this, and in what country? Quote

DuckBricks Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 While perusing character videos, I realized that the twelfth Doctor's special attack uses his spoon. This makes me so happy and shows how much little details the Dimensions team put in with this. Stellar job! Quote

Robot of Sherwood is a hugely under-rated episode of the show too. Quote
CJ1045 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I can confirm that Lego Dimensions Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun packs that I bought in France work perfectly with the Starter Set I bought in Germany and the Level Packs and Fun Packs I bought in the UK and they all work on a UK PS4. Clearly they are designed to work anywhere as the boxes have multi-lingual writing on them. CJ Quote
jonwil Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I see no reason why a game (and base) bought elsewhere in Europe (UK or whatever) wouldn't work just fine on an Italian console. As far as I know all the console manufacturers only have one region that covers all of Europe. Quote
Bornin1980something Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I have pre-emptively bought Benny fun pack, even though l don't yet have a suitable console! I have decided to buy a pre owned ps3. A question, would an early 60GB console do, or would I need a bigger hard disc. Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) I just got 1.02 update, and it has HUGE implications. MASSIVE. Hire-a-Hero. Don't have a gadget/vehicle/character with an ability? Pay 50,00 studs for 30 seconds of playing. Thank you, LEGO. Thank you. Edited October 31, 2015 by LegoPercyJ Quote
Brickus Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I just tried using my Companion Cube Minibuild on the central portal on the Toypad, and it won't load into the game, however it does load when I put it on the other two portals, but not the middle one so I can't upgrade it. Has anyone else encountered this problem, is it with the NFC chip, the Toypad, or is it a bug with the new update? Quote

The only thing i came across that could be an issue is more related to the Toypad itself. If its close to other electric devices or other technology, it might have problems reading some of the NFC chips. Bu unfortunately that was all i could find for now. Quote
Savage Oppress Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 3 more days until Wave 2 Minifigure Wave launches :) Quote

KlodsBrik Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Found this video which afaik is the fist one to show the content of the Doctor Who level pack, i couldnt resist on looking through it even though i really wants to enjoy the whole of the gameplay myself when i get hold of it myself. The intro is amazing to say the least. Its worth a look even though it was a livestream and the little kid next to daddy has quite an annoying voice, not that i have any problems with kids Just wanted to let whoever know that is craving for more LEGO Doctor Who related stuff these days. The Dalek extermination of earth: First time I've seen gameplay of this; it looks stellar. I didn't watch the entire thing of course (the kid's voice + differing volume levels and echoes discouraged me) but saw some mentions of the Silence, Zygons, and Autons, so it looks like a whole lot of monsters are included, which is great!
