Aside from the Amiibos competition in the toys-to-life sector, would you seriously consider that Nintendo could allow their characters such as Mario to be included in a game that is *not* WiiU exclusive?

Again, you can point to Skylanders SuperChargers for the answer. That IS a multiplatform game, like Lego Dimensions, but the Wii U and 3DS bundles included exclusive Donkey Kong and Bowser figures that could be used for that game OR as Amiibo. The same could conceivably be done with Lego Dimensions—the question is whether it WOULD. I would say it's not likely, since outside of providing the figures bundled with the main game there's no easy way to avoid confusion as to which figures go with which version of the game, and that ship has sailed now that the main starter packs have already been released (especially since, unlike Skylanders, Dimensions will apparently continue to use the same starter pack for years instead of replacing it with newer versions over time).

Yes.

It's no competition if Nintendo characters are in 2 games. It just means more ching for Nintendo.

Keep in mind that those figurines are only compatible with versions of Skylanders specifically developed for Nintendo consoles. Neither Bowser, nor DK, can function in the XBOX or PS versions of the game. That doesn't necessarily mean more money on Nintendo's end either (not that they need it). It's more of a consolation (no pun intended) for Nintendo adopters than a reason to get that console and that version of the game.

No, I think they'd come to a deal where the Nintendo minifigures, vehicles and gadgets are only compatible with the Wii U.

In regards to Cartoon Network stuff like Ben 10 or Adventure Time or whatever, I just cant see that any of it is popular enough to be worthwhile for Dimensions other than as in-game content (ala the hidden Flintstones and Jetsons areas)

Not 100% sure but I believe someone other than Warner Bros owns some sort of rights in Ben 10 (so LEGO would need to acquire those rights as well).

They could release Samurai Jack to promote the next season.

They could make a Teen Titans team pack and one fun pack, Teen Titans is fairly popular and it is DC.

I'd also like them to make original TT sets, but that's a different story.

IDK about Samurai Jack, it might be too similar to Lego Ninjago, since Samurais and Ninjas both have similar abilities.

Perhaps more importantly, the Samurai Jack revival is going to be on Adult Swim, so not marketed towards kids. :sceptic:

In the retail catalogs themes which had video games/were in dimensions had an noted that in the corner. Friends was one of these themes, it's possible it's going to be included soon or they are just advertising the 2013 video game.

Star Wars isn't for kids, yet we all know LEGO would add them if they could.

BVS and the Bat-Trilogy is also not for kids.

There's probably more i'm missing.

Those you mentioned are movies, parents are not so strict about movies, especialy if the kids think they're cool. Also, both of those got lego sets once they got popular with kids, not before. Don't expect it now. If it gets popular with kids, maybe later.

Hey guys, I'm considering this game an have a couple of questions.

About how long, without free play and such, is the starter pack alone, approximately?

And are there places where two player gameplay is useful ( as opposed to one person leads, the other follows )

And, for those who've had the game for a while, how often do you play now?

Thanks Amazingbricks for that info. TTG only interests me if there is a Raven minifigure, as I am betting a level or in-game character would be based on the new show :(

Adventure time is not of any interest to me, but I'm sure wil make someone happy. Isn't there a rainbow unicorn in that show? I'm guessing that'll be used on the Unikitty stuff {if so, 1)Called it! 2)Man, does Lego think ahead!}

You can mostly run through each level rather fast ( 20-30 minutes each), but then you will miss a lot of what actually is to explore. Ive found myself using several hours per level to get all the fun from the game collecting every stud and so on available.

There is definately many places where 2player is usefull, as you very often have to change between characters to solve puzzles.

Now since its December and i have a large family, i dont get to play it as often as i would like. However if i had the time, i would probably play a few hours every second day. Im not even halfway through the game, as i often plays the Level packs or free roam depending on which mood im in. I love just running around doing crazy stuff putting up weird scenarios like have scooby driving the DeLorean which is upgraded to full speed so its just insanely hard to control.

I still love this game and i got it the day it was released. And im so looking forward to furthe packs being released.

Even though the game is epensive with all the extra packs, i still find its worth every penny spend. And im in no way rich.

I still love this game.

Hope it answered some of your questions. :classic:

Hmm, Lego and cartoon network are going to make something work, looks like they're going to make Teen titans go and adventure time. Good deal for them and expect those in 2016!

Good for fans of Teen Titans Go and Adventure Time but I just hope they don't end up replacing any of the franchises already in the game. I don't want to see them replace Doctor Who or The Simpsons when there's plenty of scope yet as to what characters could be made into NFC minifigures.

The question now is, will they be the minifigures from jokerland or something else?

You're welcome! Let's see if that deal goes well, nothing is confirmed yet.
