Like the Ninjago PWR suits?

No, like the actual factions that appeared in LEGO Universe. Sentinels, Assembly, Paradox and Venture.

I cannot for the life of me recall where the term PWR came from, but those suits were never released. The fanbase for the game would still buy the sets, but I highly doubt they would want armored Ninjago Ninja Suit Packs.

Tbh I was joking more than I actually meant it. The idea of PWR suits are actually pretty lame, except like an underwater theme.

However I would like for the next dimensions game to have deepstone Jay as his next outfit, so he can also use the ghostbuster trap thing.

I also thought Morro should have been a boss of the Ghostbuster world instead of flipping ZOD of all people out of nowhere.

It comes from a fan-fic synopsis someone wrote as the "super form" for each of the Ninja in what would eventually become the Stone Army Season.

So...

One day, some Lego rip-off company sees some old gear that was cancelled in Lego Universe (because it died, may it RIP) and decided to make cheap, single minifig sets for each of the Ninja with these suits. Suddenly someone takes the fan-fic name "PWR Suit" (because that horrible fan-fic was like gospel to these kids) and pastes it on these things, although neither the armor nor name are even remotely related.

TL;DR: PWR Suits technically don't even exist. The Ninjago fanbase added 2+1 together, and got 5 as a sum (for the lack of a better analogy).

Quite excited to hear about the new potential deals for the game. I hope that some of the rumors from several pages back come to fruition.

Well, I got the starter pack and Wicked Witch as a surprise present today. Overall, the gameplay's pretty good, but I deeply resent the inability to progress in puzzle-solving without purchasing more characters.

Earn studs. Hire a hero ..... It might take a lot of time, but its all accesable without having to purchase more packs ...

Hi there I've been following this game for quite some time now since it's announcement and as you know the game's been for ages and I've been desperately waiting for my copy of the game itself, in other words: the starter pack. I've got many of the characters in the game and they include:

  • Cyborg
  • Jay
  • Benny
  • Gimli
  • The Wicked of the West
  • Emmet
  • Marty McFly
  • Zane
  • Nya
  • Bad Cop/Good Cop
  • Bart Simpson

With the recents ones in my collection being Gollum, Cragger and Wonder Woman. That's a total of 14 characters that I had been collecting in order to play the game I didn't wanna go for the level packs because of how expensive they were. Though I was lucky enough to get the Back to the Future level pack with Marty McFly as I've already said before anyway. I had been hoping to get the game for Christmas but apparently not. I've now got £85 pounds to spare for Christmas seeing as I do live in the UK. I was wondering what advice you guys could give me because on one hand, I have enough to the Starter Pack along with the game itself for Lego Dimensions but on the other hand I really don't want to waste all of my money on the game and I don't know whether to spend the money or wait until the price drops and I'm just wondering what you guys can give me in terms of advice.

I would have a strong word with your family and friends for letting you buy packs only to realise they're useless because they haven't bought you the starter pack and throw a massive strop until they cave in and buy it themselves.

No, kidding! In seriousness, I would probably check the boxing day sales and if there's no good deals then wait for the January ones. I doubt it'll come down in price over time because of the technology in the set but it's possible shops may reduce it as part of the traditional sales periods around Christmas. If not, then I would buy the starter pack. I think some places sell it at around £74 anyway though.

Ya know that's exactly what I was doing today, looking to see the price had gone down. But now it hasn't because if I remember rightly it was £74 last I checked in 24/7 games, checked in Argos WAY OVER £80. So the cheapest one I've got going for me right now anyway is over at the previously mentioned shop. Seeing as I don't have many game shops in my area 24/7 games will have to be the next best thing for me.

So, with that list of licenses that're supposed to be coming to the game next year, are those likely the ONLY new packs we'll see? Because as much as I love the idea of all the new themes we'll be getting, I just got the Doctor Who pack and I can't help but think how much I want some of the other characters from the Whoniverse. I can see where there might be some complications with adding Clara and Jack Harkness since they're part of puzzles and missions and junk, but maybe River Song or Amy or Rory or even Rose? Playing as the Doctor just feels so lonely without any of his companions. :(

I also find myself wishing that they would've added some kind of limitation to regenerating (maybe only letting you do it in the Free Play world or something) so that they could justify putting out some of the more recent Doctors as Fun Packs. I find it so weird playing as the 10th Doctor but having to move the 12th around on the toy pad, and I'm really desperate for a 10 minifigure!

Okay I have the game right now on my new Xbox 360 and currently in the progress of building the portal but I am having trouble assembling it. Got all the figures that I've got currently by the toy pad as we speak.

Considering the likely expense of licenses such as Doctor Who and The Simpsons, I'd be very surprised if they don't release more packs based on those franchises. Unless they're on a mission to **** off their own fanbase, of course.

I didn't mean to be so dismissive before. This really is a good game. The writing is great, and the Toy Pad is integrated pretty well, even if it's a bit confusing to get the hang of its puzzles. Now to the stores to get more packs...At the very least, I want to access all of the adventure worlds.

Probably my favorite feature of the game so far is Kansas. Well hidden, and unexpected.

Agreed. I wish there was a tutorial explaining how hacking stuff works with the toy pad. It confused me at first when I couldn't get to one of the red buttons because there was no path until I realised the pad was lighting up the colours of the missing pathways.

God I've been playing this game non-stop since I've bought it today completed the first level in the Wizard of Oz world and explored the Legends of Chima world along with the Simpsons world. This might just be me talking here, but does the Legend of Chima get a lot more interesting...with the cartoon series? I don't know much about that series but I thought I'd get Cragger for that world because he looks cool at least. I can't really get much out of that world because...well I just don't have anything to say about that world because I don't know anything about the Legends of Chima. The reason I got Cragger is because I thought with him I would at least get a bit of interest in the franchise. So far I've learnt there are five tribes in that world, the life force is chi and there's a camp bird...? Otherwise I don't know what to say about that one really.

I love how Traveller's Tales have pretty much made The Simpsons word look like the show itself. My one drawback with that world is that most of the characters are either talking with Archive sound or they just don't talk at all so that's my only gripe with it anyway.

All in all, I'm really having with this game and I've been waiting oh so long for a chance to play it. And now that I do, I'm enjoying every second of it.

Chima is a world made up of anthropomorphic animal tribes who use CHI as a power source in battle. The CHI itself created the characters, as they are a result of real-world animals drinking CHI water. The storyline is basically a long conflict over CHI after Cragger becomes brainwashed and evil, and at the end of its run, was a conflict between the good forces using Fire CHI (these are the versions used in Dimensions) and the evil undead forces using Ice CHI. The writing's not that great, and the characters and voice acting are "okay". I'd say it's not bad if you pass it. Ninjago and Nexo Knights are the better of the shows/franchises.

For me, I didn't understand the paint color puzzles or portals, until I realized that you're supposed to move the characters to color the Toy Pad (never mind how that makes sense in-universe), and to move them to their respective portals. Still, I appreciate that you do more with the pad than drop-in-drop-out characters.

And I shall echo that the (long) Doctor Who level is very well done. The Weeping Angels were used brilliantly, and there are so many fan-service references, 75% of which I didn't pick up on. It's fun to see which world will be the setting for the next level, and who will cross into it, although it makes me want more characters to explore the corresponding Adventure Worlds.

Ah right. In that case, I'll give Chima a couple of episodes and then I'll decide whether it's worth my time or not. I'll probably won't spend as much time in that particular world for Lego Dimensions then I will for the other worlds because at least with things like Back to the Future, The Simpsons, Doctor Who, The Lego Movie and Portal are things that are familiar with me. Though it begs the question of: how in god's name is it popular with the kids?

I hope for the 2nd update/installment, they switch up the characters and their abilities, getting new ones and making them different.

For example, i'd like Jay's next suit to be the deepstone variant. That way, he can have the ghost trap ability.

Another one would be to give Nya her water gi, so she can use Aquaman pools. And create a bubble when she swims, not just regular swimming.

I do have to say, I really was disappointed with the Ghostbusters stage.

I thought we would fight someone from the Cursed faction, like the Preeminent or Morro. But nope, we get the completely random appearance of General Zod instead.

We didn't get anything in general with Morro... *sniff*

The reason we didn't get the ninja in deepstone gi or anything at all from Possession is definitely because those sets, designs, and characters were finalized too late to make changes to Dimensions...

On a side note, I hope Nexo Knights makes it to Dimensions, because in the recent mobile video game, ALL the voice actors reprise their roles, meaning we'll probably see legitimate voice acting if NK ever comes into play.

The question now is, will they be the minifigures from jokerland or something else?

Well, being that Cyborg is already available I'm guessing they'll do a couple of team packs to fill in the other four. For the most part I do think they'll reuse the Jokerland minifigures, but I think there's a chance they'll update Starfire's hair (As they've done with other characters). And I wouldn't be surprised if Jump City became a world.

At the very least I see them giving us Raven. That way anyone who wants to complete the Titans has to buy a dimensions pack for her. It's all part of the plan to get us to spend more money on Lego.

Second Nexo Knights. Besides all of the rumored franchises from the list, we've still got a lot to expect, like the teased Hanna-Barbera cartoons Nexo Knights, and who knows what else?

Vorton's going to be pretty full next year.

Something's up with the Simpsons level in Story mode for me. Ya know the little battle with Lord Business? Well I get to the cutscene where Lord Business gets the plutonium rod and then it freezes! What do I do to get rid of this problem?

Dimensions somehow snuck into the house this season, and so far I have the BTTF level pack as well as the Legolas and Zane fun packs. I'm in story mode on the Dr. Who level (#4 I think) and tried using the mines from Legolas' arrow launcher on the silver Cyberman heads, but they won't break them! Is that normal? Do I need to get a different vehicle/gadget to break silver bricks, or am I doing something wrong?

Cyborg does not fit in to Teen Titans as he is now... But the sad thing is that LEGO doesn't care...

However, if Lego makes Dimensions 2.0 or something, I hope they redesign cyborg, or give him different suits.
