I was wondering what characters they might add to the existing properties.

The LEGO Movie: Vitruvius, please!

Portal: I really liked the Atlas and P-Body Team Pack idea, reusing the portal guns. I just can't see them making buildable characters, though, and they've already done the most iconic items from the series. So, probably only Chell for this series.

Ninjago: Perhaps P.I.X.A.L could be a character, with technological and acrobatic abilities?

Scooby-Doo: Since this one has been confirmed, I'd expect Velma for a cheaper option and her importance in putting the mysteries together.

DC Comics: Catwoman, Batgirl, or Nightwing seem like good candidates for playable characters, with no new abilities needed.

Ghostbusters: I wouldn't be surprised to see a Ray and Egon Team Pack and a Winston Fun Pack to complete the team and give you more options. Builds, however, might be more limited in possibilities.

Doctor Who: Clara and Missy team pack, Captain Jack fun pack, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart fun pack, Ice Warrior fun pack

Jurassic World: Ian Malcolm level pack (level based on The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2 similar to one in the Jurassic World game only with new voice-acting from Jeff Goldblum similar to the Back to the Future level pack), Claire Dearing fun pack, Alan Grant and Ellie Slater team pack

Wizard of Oz: Dorothy and Toto team pack, Cowardly Lion fun pack, Tin Man and Scarecrow team pack

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet, since I've played the game since December even though I picked up the Portal pack before I even got the game (Because I'm a Portal nerd)

But so far I have:

Portal Level Pack

BTTF

Dr. Who (My favorite of the level packs thus far)

Unikitty

Cyborg (I needed him to complete my Justice League)

Wicked Witch

Jurassic World

I'm trying to get my hands on the Scooby team pack, at least the characters, and I too am preordering the Cyberman and Doc Brown, but I'm waiting for the release for Ghostbusters since I ultimately found the other level packs cheaper a little while after they've been out (I got Dr. Who for only $20 on eBay)

As for future packs, I'm surprised they didn't do more with Wizard of Oz like a Tinman/Scarecrow team pack or give Dorothy a level pack, and have the hot air balloon be her vehicle and maybe Toto as a brick built model like Owen's raptor and the ruby slippers as her accessory. It seems like a waste to get the license and a level without much in the way of physical media.

Midway Arcade, as much as I'm excited for it, seems like a random addition, but I like the builds and I can't wait for the level pack itself, which I assume are Legofied arcade classics.

Okay, I have a bit of a problem. I've tried to do GLaDOS' quest for Material Wealth Incrementation Spheres, but the help block is lying when it says to check the minimap for glowing red areas-they just don't show up. Is this a glitch? It certainly isn't easy to stumble around Aperture in hopes that the next area has one of the items to collect.

I've actually had something similar like that happen and that's with the mini map not showing up at all in The Lego Movie and Lord of the Rings adventure worlds when I'm trying to do a side quest but I ended up been lost so yeah I can see your problem there.

Wait, how/where have more Scooby Doo Dimensions sets been confirmed? Source? Praying it's not a single Fred figure...

Also first post here, I wasn't able to log in for quite a while.

I think J2G said the "S" on the rumored initials list of packs for the future stood for "Scooby-Doo".

Oh really? Were there are other franchises that will get some characters confirmed?

Sonic, I believe

WB and Sega vs. Disney and Nintendo, eh? Sonic seems a bit spiteful toward the amiibo market, and honestly, I couldn't care less about him.

It would look so odd seeing Dorothy ride Toto.

This is exactly why I reckon there will be some unannounced sets released. It just doesn't seem right if the Wicked Witch is the only character released.

I was actually using the Wicked of the West last night actually. And yes I think we'll obviously get Dorothy because come on it wouldn't be the Wizard of Oz if there's no Dorothy fun packs for the game.

I hope for all four heroes, because they're all iconic, and it would be a waste of the license to not include them. Due to their relationship, I'd expect Dorothy and the Scarecrow as a Team Pack, and the Cowardly Lion and Tin Woodman might be Fun Packs. Builds could be the living trees, the hot-air balloon, a bed of poppies to put enemies to sleep, and maybe something from Munchkin Town?

Maybe the carriage with the horse that changes colours for a vehicle. Well maybe just the carnage I guess.

I know it was a typo, but that made me laugh. Dorothy Fun Pack with dismembered Munchkin! Cowardly Lion comes with the skull of a Winged Monkey! Tin Man and Scarecrow with chunks of the decimated Emerald City!

Oh god I did it again! Jeez, this is why I should check these things! Bloody hell....But yes I think the carriage would be a good vehicle to use for either of them. And also I will not be held responsible if I inevitably end up starting another war between the Cybermen and the Daleks!

Sonic in LEGO would be awesome...

I wonder if they'll include any other Lego franchises in Lego Dimensions besides The Lego Movie, Ninjago and Chima. It doesn't have to be just Movie/TV franchises. Maybe bring in something like Lego City Undercover just to shake things up ya know?

Agreed. And I love the bizarreness of having Batman and Sonic The Hedgehog in the same universe.

LEGO Racers would be a lot of fun. In fact, maybe they could just do a separate LEGO Racers toys-to-life kart game where you can use your existing NFC minifigures alongside new ones?

I must admit the concept of having Sonic and Batman, two iconic figures of our time interacting with each other is just priceless. I can just imagine the things they'd say to each other. Batman would be confused that there's a talking hedgehog in front of him and Sonic just be snarking about Batman's outfit.

Something that shocked me about this game is the lack of any builder mode. It seems like lego would be a natural fit for something like the Disney Infinity's toy box builder, I mean it's lego.

I'm glad there isn't. All the fun of LDD in a videogame? No thanks.

Also, TTG is probably where we're getting the missing Raven figure that's had a bit of obsession. For Adventure Time, that'd be another "cartoon world", and I'm assuming that Jake would be the build/vehicle. Also, not to say it's intentional, but why most of the new franchises also Ideas projects? Sonic, honestly, could be anything. I'm assuming that both AT and Sonic would be Level Packs.

Also, despite not understanding most of the references in the Doctor Who world, I find myself really wanting a minifigure of Missy. Get on it, LEGO!

I'm sure they will, given the success of LEGO Doctor Who.

I would love to see Chase McCain appear as a Lego City representative (along with a LCU-esque level for him to explore)! I kind of hope that the new grapple gun piece from the Batman v. Superman sets might be intended to be used for a Chase McCain figure for the game. Considering TT Games had such a significant role in creating the story and characters from Lego City Undercover compared to licensed Lego games, I would expect that they'd love to follow up on that with a Dimensions expansion. That leaves the question of whether Lego or their retail partners think packs based on non-movie themes are viable, which is unclear—I worry that even the Ninjago and Chima packs may have not sold as well as many of the packs based on licensed characters.

Additionally, I would really, really like to see Lego Friends, Elves, Bionicle and Nexo Knights represented. Nexo Knights is probably the most likely of the three since it's a big-bang theme with a full TV series, like Ninjago and Chima, but Bionicle and Friends are also getting Netflix series this year, and Elves will probably continue to have standalone TV specials and webisodes. Unfortunately, the leaked list of set names didn't include anything that would suggest that any of those franchises will be added, so unless those don't encompass the full range of Dimensions sets for this year we probably won't see any of these franchises at least until next year, if at all.

I just can't see CCBS Bionicle in a minifigure-driven theme. Friends might work, but they don't seem to have anything that would match the game's puzzle-solving mechanics. I don't know the Dimensions demographics, but I feel like Friends packs wouldn't sell as well, unfortunately. Nexo Knights is incredibly likely, due to being similarly franchised out as Ninjago and Chima. LCU, however...I don't know. For a Wii U-exclusive title, it might not have the ubiquity of the other properties. LEGO City's reduction wouldn't be great, but Chase could work.

Who knows? Though I kind of wished it wasn't the Teen Titans Go version of Raven that we are getting and it's more the version from the original cartoon series. But seeing as it's a show that's still airing on Cartoon Network I highly doubt that's gonna be the case.
