Some pretty nice ideas, legofreak.

However, i don't think that TLG will release an ultimate duel of Obi and Ani anytime soon. We recently got Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. It is a great set i think and does a good job for the scene of your desire. It's also affordable so i don't believe in any similar thingy next year.

I share your desire for Cloud City - after ten years the time is due!

As for the special for Comic Con - how about a system Imperial Star Destroyer?! This would incite quite some 'whooaah' effect, i think! :classic:

Good idea I've always wanted a system set star destroyer as I never picked up the last one.

I agree, I would love to see a rehash of the set. I have a few sets of the 6211, but I feel Lego could do a much better job in designing a new one. As much as I would like to see one unveiled at Comic Con, I highly doubt it will happen. At this point, I am just hoping a Lego Star Wars set will be revealed period.

It's only a matter of time before TLG comes out with a new redesign of the ISD, the Imperial Shuttle, and Cloud City.

Now we just have to calm ourselves and be patient. :sadnew:*OM*

Do you guys think we will ever see the return of small sets like the final duels? I know there are the battle packs but they are so clearly aimed at 14 year old army builders :/ Looking back I can't believe that a set so small existed with so much in it. I used to love going to the supermarket and picking those up with what little money I had. I'm hoping with the new movies/shows coming we get the chance to pick up figs in this way.

Stuff like that will likely never happen again for Star Wars. Main characters or rare, popular figs will now always be in more expensive sets. Even now, the Battle Packs are $15. The days of $10 Star Wars sets with named characters are long gone.

Actually fives you don't know what LEGO will do unless you work for them which I doubt. Only people who know if there will be small sets like ablake90 mentioned are the people at LEGO. And battlepacks have actually only went up by 2-3 $/£ not a full 5. Of you used to buy multiple $10 battlepacks then you can easily still buy one or two $12-$13 sets. Also the ARC clone is kind of a rare fig as it only featured in the Battlepack and is yet to feature in any other set

Okay, perhaps I was misunderstood. Back when LEGO SW first started, we got sets like Final Duel 1 and 2, Jedi Duel, Tusken Encounter; really cheap sets with main characters, specifically Jedi and Sith. That hasn't happened for a long time. New or rare Jedi and Sith are now always in bigger sets, $25 or more.

And when it comes to prices here in Canada, BPs are $16.

Like it that was quite a good sequence of the movie! The droideka has been updated so many times that there is no definitive version.

I actually have a prototype set that I made for myself in LDD, its not finished, but you can get a good idea of what I mean.

It features a door that opens in an up and down position (not left and right), the door is split in 2 from the middle, you can see the mechanism on the side to open the door.

Also the command area to control the droids and the rest of the ship and some minifigures, + a droideka that I made myself using pieces from the 75000 battlepack + 2 holders that I had left. :classic:

Here is the PIC.

That is a fantastic design! I'd love to see that as a real set!

SOME SET IDEAS:

Senate Duel= 39.99, Comes with x2 red marked Clone Troopers, Emperor Palpatine, Yoda. It would also have 2 regular floating speeders/areas, and Palpatines area. Another one could be either launched, floating, or on a transparent stand (with a stud that can spin.

Geonosian Arena: 89.99, comes with x2 Geonosians, Nute Gunray, Count Dooku, , Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Obiwan, Kit Fisto, Mace Windu. It has a seating area, chained area to place Amidala or Anakin..

There are three sets i really want to see in the near furture.

1: SPHA- $120-$150 which includes a fully articulated main gun, a detailed command center, and a troop bay for the forces that could deploy to secure the immediate vicinity. Also includes a small ground turret for Seperatist forces. Comes with 12 minifigs a Clone Commander, Leiutenant, 6 Troopers, 2 Battle Droids, and 2 SBDs.

2: UT-AT- $100-$120 comes with similar fetures to the SPHA in that it has both a command center and a small troop bay as well as a way to make the whole set look like it's floating like in the ROTS. Comes with 8 minifigs Commander Baccara, 3 Galactic Marines, 2 Battle Droids, and Two SBDs.

3: Octuptarra Magna Tri-Droid-$50-$80 includes the Tri-Droid with articulated legs and central body as well as some of the ruble seen on the bridge on Mygeeto in ROTS comes with 5 minifigs Ki-Adi-Mundi, 2 Galactic Marines, and 2 Battle Droids.

I'm really looking forward to see what sets TLG will make out of the new Rebels TV series next year. Hopefully Lego will make sets on some other Rebel vehicles, like the T4-B Tank or AAC-1. It would really be a brake from the usual X-wing/Y-wing/Snowspeeder rehashes TLG makes everyother year. :hmpf_bad:

I doubt there will be any classic Rebel ships in the series. Since the show will be taking place while the Alliance is forming, we will get to see the development of the various ships they have, so we'll likely see the progression towards the final versions of X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings and so forth.

With every day that passes, I'm getting more and more excited for Episode 7, and while that is a long way off, it's still fun thinking about having older versions of Luke, Leia and Han as official figs, alongs with their kids.

You do know that the show is said to focus on teenage protagonists like with series 5's young padawan episode arc. I doubt these rebels are even the rebel alliance! Plus everyone knows in canon as force unleashed light side ending is cannon that the rebels were accidentally formed by the empire themselves trying to destroy all their enemies at once with the help of starkiller (Vader's apprentice). The apprentice was betrayed by Vader and sacrificed himself to attempt (that failed) to destroy the emperor and let the rebel leaders escape. Inspired by his brave sacrifice the leaders including bail organa, mon mothma, princess leia and others formed the rebels to free their galaxy from the empire using star killer's family crest as their symbol! You can't overwrite that Disney! It happened and nobody is going to even consider Disney's version of events to be true if they change this!! I won't be able to watch the show as I have virgin media and that doesn't include Disney XD but the way it is going I'm thankful for that! The only thing that could make that show remotely good is if Darth Vader shows up as a prime antagonist voiced by James earl jones! Back on topic there is a lot of ot and pt.. and some remaining cw stuff plus other star wars stuff that they have to do. Rebels isn't even announced properly and Lego's 2014 wave is planned a year in advance so there is a high possibility in 2014 we will not see any sets based on yet another of Disney's dreadful television shows!

While yes that is the official formation of the Alliance To Restore The Republic before that groups such as Kota's militia and various other groups were in rebelion against the Empire there just wasn't an official Alliance yet so the show could be about the various organizations and groups that would go on to form the Alliance

I too am looking forward to star wars 7! There is promise after what Abrahams did with star trek and into darkness! If he can make this film or films just as good then we could be looking at a star wars filled future meaning a constant flow of material for sets! Just thought jj Abraham's star wars will look quite different! No barn door wipes! The sound design will probably be completely different. We might even get a part Imax filmed star wars! Now that would be cool! The sets would be amazing I reckon with all the detail he puts into his movie and the special effects. I reckon it will be a shining new ear for both lego star wars and star wars itself.

Well said legofreak86! I'm hopeful that Disney is able to work with the FU story, but I'm pretty sure at this point Star Wars Rebels will no be something most star wars fans will like at all. Times are changing and with Disney that ussually results in moving towards completly new concepts and leaving the old in the past to be forgotten.

I also would like to see these sets. Although we'll mostly likely not get a S-PHAT next year, I think we have a really good chance of seeing a UT-AT set next year as I mentioned in my 2014 set predictions on the previous page.

Adding on to my 2014 set predictions, here are my thoughts on what Planet Sets We'll see next year...

Winter Wave:

-Kashyyyk Planet Set: Clone Turbo Tank: 41st Clone Trooper-9.99$

-Dagobah Planet Set: Luke's X-Wing Starfighter: Swamp R2-D2-9.99$

-Mustafar Planet Set: Emperor Palaptine's Shuttle: Burned Anakin-9.99$

Summer Wave:

-Mandalore: The Twilight: Dutchess Satine(S5)-9.99$

-Florrum Planet Set: Slave 1: Hondo Ohnaka-9.99$

-Umbara Planet Set: Z-95 Headhunter: Clone Pilot-9.99$

Thanks For Reading!

A reminder: We have topics in Culture and Multimedia for discussing Star Wars in general and Star Wars: Rebels. This topic is for discussing sets you think we'll get or which you want to see made, so discussion of set possibilities in future Star Wars productions is fine...but this topic is drifting towards discussion of what you think of Rebels and Episode VII. Stay on topic, please! Thanks. :classic:

Hey legofreak, that's a great idea about a Final Duel set taking place in the throne room. I've got the Death Star but I would definitely buy a set like that.

I just saw a page with 1,138 behind the scenes photos of the OT, truely fantastis pictures, and I realized we need a great cantina set, with lots of aliens!

Florrum I would buy in a heartbeat!! Just for HONDO! I reckon that his legs could be printed with his coat and we could get some new printing on the face and torso like his bone necklace and belt with a symbol on it! Heck maybe they could mold him a new hat piece as the 2009 one looks alright but isn't that accurate! I'd like to see satine and that would be a good way to get her as long as Lego doesn't mess her up like cw padme  Burned Anakin would be cool perhaps an update to match his new 2012 torso as the 2010 one matches his 2005 design! 41st clone would be cool also is that the green marking ones if so great!

Yeah I've always felt the final duel needs a large throne room set as the death star one (I don't own that) looks quite small compared to the actual room in the movie and with a baseplate and some cool windows and features, stairs platforms and columns it could become one mighty fine set!

Just thought that maybe we could get an updated Tarkin and an ozzel and a redesigned hologram emperor but like a figure rather than a block of blue with an image on it. Ideas for figures included: Darth Vader(redesigned with new printing perhaps some on the legs), Grand moff Tarkin redesigned with new printing and the Dooku cw hair piece and pupils in eyes, Ozzel (like in empire strikes out), two imperial officers, two storm troopers and hologram palpatine (redesign) also includes a mouse droid and probe droid.
