January 16, 201411 yr Characters we still need Durge. Big Ships: The Nebulon-B escort frigate, Redemption, would be cool. Even if it was only Microscale UCS type design. Places: Gungan city for that fact would be pretty nice. Lots of trans. Mmm. Trans. Misc Tech: And the Gungan catapults Misc Animals: The Gungan army's large animals with shield generators. Edited January 16, 201411 yr by Rook
January 16, 201411 yr Unlike Rook I don't think anything Gungan should ever be made. Ever. :) The Nebulon B would be great although the scaling would be odd, as Rook said, as it's such a huge ship that even UCS would be Microscale. I would like to see some Shadows of the Empire stuff made such as a Prince Xizor figure and his ship, The Virago.... this also includes Dash Rendar and The Outrider as listed above. Zuckuss and 4-Lom to complete the Bounty Hunters.
January 16, 201411 yr Unlike Rook I don't think anything Gungan should ever be made. Ever. :) Hahahaha. AMEN to that
January 16, 201411 yr I think we need a duel of the fates set, I'm actually kind of suprised lego hasn't made one yet. they've made sets for the major duels in the other 5 movies. Unlike Rook I don't think anything Gungan should ever be made. Ever. :) true, but I think he's on to something with the trans.
January 16, 201411 yr I would like a complete lineup of the UCS OT Rebel Starfighters. All that is missing is the A-wing since they made a better X-wing. The Y-wing, B-wing, new X-wing, Falcon, Snowspeeder(although not a Starfighter) and then the A-wing would complete the set. I would be content if they shut down after that. January 16, 201411 yr I like how they gave us Episode 2 sets last year, but still didn't give us: . Kamino . Droid Factory . Geonosis Arena . A remake of the Zam Wessel chase C'mon LEGO! When is it gonna get though your thick skulls that we want these!!
January 16, 201411 yr I'd like to see Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's moisture farm. I'll second this, and add the various background vehicles seen on Tatooine that haven't been made into sets yet (Mos Eisley speeders other than Luke's, and so on). I also would honestly, seriously like a set or two based on The Star Wars Holiday Special, ideally Chewie's family's home on Kashyyyk (with minifigures of the family, of course), and perhaps also a set based on the animated segment. That's not to say I seriously expect them to ever do it, of course; I'm just saying it's what I'd like. But I actually could imagine them doing the Lars homestead and moisture farm as a D2C set.

January 16, 201411 yr Going through the movies... -Episode 1 has kinda been done to the fullest extent it can be. It would be nice to have an all-chrome Naboo ship, but that's never gonna happen for a price anybody in their right mind will pay. Chrome is just too expensive, and pearl silver just won't cut it. -It's been said before, but the arena scene in Episode 2 really needs to be done. I think the techniques Lego uses to produce brick-built creatures (especially in light of the new tiny ball-and-socket system) have progressed far enough to make those creatures feasible. It's a very iconic scene, and important to the plot of the movie; it'd give us a place to put all the Battle of Geonosis stuff they gave us last year. -The Coruscant speeder chase with Zam Wessel is one that's calling out for a revamp. It's really weird they haven't done it, because we all know that TLG loves to produce vehicle-based sets. -The Senate chamber battle from Episode 3 could use a playset. A chunk of framework with three senate pods on it and then a tiny version of Palpatine's central thingy would do. They could throw in a few Senate aliens for good measure - maybe we could get some Lego ETs! -The Mustafar battle also deserves better interpretations than what we've gotten so far, when it's played second string to a dumb lightsaber battle gimmick in 2005 and yet another Jedi interceptor in 2012. I'd love to see what the designers could do with a $100 price point and a few BURPs to get it up to size. Lots of potential play features there. -From Episode 4, I really want to see a new interpretation of Darth Vader's TIE Advanced that brings it up to the standard set by the phenomenal 2012 TIE fighter. The one from 2009 is looking a little dated, and I never purchased it at the time. -The Lars homestead is an iconic setting that they've never produced, probably because it doesn't have any potential play features whatsoever. I could see a small version being included in the upcoming UCS Sandcrawler, if that rumor turns out to be true. -With the new Cantina coming out, a battle-pack style set of cantina aliens to populate it would be nice, though that's just a pipe dream - TLG would never give us that many molds and prints without distributing them between a half dozen $50 ships. -I also want another battle pack that's just Stormtroopers. They haven't gotten their due lately; they haven't featured heavily in a BP since 2008. They didn't even get a Planets set! I just got my Death Star and want to bulk up the Imperial presence on it some. -Speaking of the Death Star, it's widely believed to be on its way out, and it's been basically the only representation of a ton of iconic scenes from Episodes 4 and 6. Obviously a lot of AFOLs have owned it for a long time, but what about kids who want to have their own trash compactor? Or landing bay? Or detention cell? Those are all incredibly iconic scenes that the prohibitively expensive 10188 has been monopolizing for six years (not that they'd ever been made before 2008). Once the set finally retires, it might be nice for some of those scenes to get standalone interpretations. -For Episode 5, there's only one answer - another Cloud City playset. It was ahead of its time when it was released in 2003, and since then the entire setting has been completely neglected in favor of more Hoth sets. Imagine how great a new version of that set could be! It doesn't even have to be all one set like it was the first time - divide up all those vignettes, play around with the sizes, and you've got half a wave of sets. -Ok, so maybe not only one answer; a proper Yoda's Hut that's not playing second fiddle to an X-wing would be nice, too. It'd be a nice chance to do a Force Ghost figure, too, in Obi-wan. You've shown us you can do trans-blue arms, TLG - it can't be that much of a stretch to do the rest! -And lastly, Episode 6. TLG's done well by this episode, and it's probably the best documented in Lego of the lot. The only thing I can think of is, again, the scenes that the Death Star has taken, most particularly the Emperor's throne room. That's probably the least satisfactory of the vignettes aboard 10188, because it's just too small to fit everything in (though the designers did a very good job with what they had). A larger playset would be awesome. Edited January 16, 201411 yr by Tereglith
January 16, 201411 yr Interesting list. But a curious list you have there. Episode I - Gian speeder Episode II - Risksja Speeder Episode III - UT-AT Episode IV - Outrider Episode IV - bantha UT-AT? I have no idea what that is. Was it on screen for more than a second or two in epiii, because I'm not picturing it. The Outrider... in EpIV? Was this a CGI addition slotted in to the "special edition"? I have no memory of that ship from the original (cough -- pre-molested) version of the film. Bantha -- now you're on to something. We have a dewback, a wampa, a rancor, and a taun-taun. A bantha shouldn't be out of the question and would make a nice addition to a tatooine scene. If I was to add something to the missing list, the first thing that comes to mind would be the Shield generator from Hoth. They've hit most of the other elements from Hoth, but that and maybe an ion cannon would complete the bases (no pun) for Hoth. -For Episode 5, there's only one answer - another Cloud City playset. -Ok, so maybe not only one answer; a proper Yoda's Hut *cough* shield generator *cough* Edited January 16, 201411 yr by Inzane
January 16, 201411 yr I would love to see a Nebulon B class frigate as I think the shape is iconic and would make a great display piece. Also a Trade Federation Starship from the beginning of Ep1 would be interesting as the spherical centre would be a challenge to accuarately replicate in lego form. A UCS version of this would be excellent...which will never happen.
January 16, 201411 yr I've been a big proponent for the Star Wars theme to have more location-based sets. Lego could pick and choose from any number of things that we're missing: - Theed - Watto's Shop - Anakin's home - Senate Chamber - Padme's Apartment - Outlander Club - Dex's Diner - Kamino - Lars Homestead - Geonosis Arena - Jedi Temple - Mustafar Separatist base - Obi-Wan's hovel - Yavin IV base - Dagobah (especially Yoda's hut) - CLOUD CITY!!!!!! Surprisingly, Return of the Jed has been covered pretty completely (with the exception of a proper Dagobah set). Some of these aren't likely to become sets (Anakin or Ben's homes, for example), but there are still many, many playset options to choose from.
January 16, 201411 yr I like how they gave us Episode 2 sets last year, but still didn't give us: . A remake of the Zam Wessel chase What did it say in the first post? No remakes. This topic is just about what is still missing. And what is really missing, is that you three missed the point of this topic. Or can't read. Or just don't care. Pity... January 16, 201411 yr Watto's shop has never been produced. A half-hearted attempt at a "junkyard", yes. But not the structure itself.
January 16, 201411 yr Watto's shop has never been produced. A half-hearted attempt at a "junkyard", yes. But not the structure itself. Yes, but then again sopmeone might say that the last twin-pod-cloudcar was a half-hearted attempt. And they would be right. It would still be a remake...
January 16, 201411 yr Just brainstorming; creatures wise, a ronto, or all other tatooine animals, geonosis animals are missing. For the figures, we don't have a prequel Darth sidious figure as he appeared in episode 1 and 2, when he was not disfigured yet. also sidious in his senate clothes. a naboo starship from either film. A lars landspeeder. A swoop bike from episode 4. Tusken encampment. A Hoth shield generator. A hoth at-st(it is different from endor at-st). An At-at barge? Rune haako minifig. Sio bibble.(he appeared in all prequels) finis valorum. Blue senate guards. A jedi temple. galactic senate. theed palace and hangar. shmi skywalker. bail organa. captain typho. mas amedda. sly moore. dexter. droid factory. invisible hand..
January 16, 201411 yr Just curious, but shouldn't this discussion be taking place in the "Future Star Wars Sets" thread? It's a thraed talking about what sets members want to see. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70171
January 16, 201411 yr They should do a set with Bail Organa. Something called Bail Organa's escape. There should be added small landing point, two or three clones, Bail, Jedi kid and a speeder. I'd be pleased if they also made a set called Emperor Battle with Yoda and Palpatine and senate room. It'd be great if there was some of the "ships" from senate hall. It'd be nice if these two sets to be joined something like Jedi Defense I and II.
January 16, 201411 yr Just curious, but shouldn't this discussion be taking place in the "Future Star Wars Sets" thread? It's a thraed talking about what sets members want to see. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70171 This discussion is a subset of that one - that's for everything people would like to see TLG do (including remakes), while this one is only for things people would like to see TLG do that they haven't done at all before.
January 16, 201411 yr Episode IV - Outrider creatures wise, a ronto, A swoop bike from episode 4. You guys are driving me crazy with all your C-canon references that were added in the special editions. If were up to me I would have GL bound & gagged while he watched me burn the SE masters, and then I'd hand over the "original" masters to his restoration team to do their excellent work.
January 16, 201411 yr some of the rebel land vehicles, we barely have any except the scout speeder, T1-B T3-B AAC1
January 17, 201411 yr I could see a small version being included in the upcoming UCS Sandcrawler, if that rumor turns out to be true. It's not rumored to be UCS, just system scale.
January 17, 201411 yr It's not rumored to be UCS, just system scale. Well, they now have a Sandcrawler of a different kind. http://www.deadline.com/2014/01/george-lucas-unveils-new-sandcrawler-digital-production-hq-in-singapore/ http://www.slashgear...awler-05176996/ Off-topic, but perhaps this hints of an upcoming sandcrawler UCS :) Edited January 17, 201411 yr by Pointblank
