January 2, 201114 yr I dunno if this would be the place for it but a new LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga in the version of LEGO Indy 2. With a world hub, I just thought that was so cool.
January 2, 201114 yr What if TLG released a series of battle pack sized sets, six of them, and each one would be based on one movie. The sets would contain the main characters from the movie, so n the TPM set you would get Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin (boy), Jar Jar, Padme, and Darth Maul (I realize we are getting all these minifigs in the summer wave). Now that I think of it the sets may need to be larger than a battle pack, but maybe only the size of a set as big as, say... the Freeco speeder. These sets would come with some sort of vehicle or built thing that goes along with the episode, but that would not be the focus of the sets. They could be like battle packs for main characters. I just thought it might be interesting.

That's a good idea but I doubt there'll ever be any rereleases by TLG without at least some improvement (or at least change for better or worse).
January 2, 201114 yr Some ideas just popped into my mind... Hopefully TLC could do these. The second one is an idea for the upcoming Hoth Echo Base. 7999 Slave I Space Battle (or maybe "Jango Fett's Slave I and Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter", but that's kinda long for a name.) Minifigs: Jango Fett, young Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi (episode II) and R4-P17. (total: 4) Comes with: Jango Fett's Slave I (new model, similair to Boba Fett's Slave I from 2010, just recolored and a slightly different design), Obi-Wan's Delta-7 Aethersprite Jedi Starfighter (redesigned starfighter) and a couple of new asteroid pieces to fully re-enact the scene. Piece count: About 800. Price: $120 7879 Hoth Echo Base Minifigs: Leia (Hoth outfit), Han Solo (Hoth outfit), Major Bren Derlin, General Carlist Rieekan, 2 Hoth rebel troopers, Luke Skywalker (Rebel Pilot), Luke Skywalker (injured), Wedge Antilles, medical droid, K-3PO and 3 snowtroopers. (total: 14) Comes with: Large door for the Hoth Echo Base, control room, medic room with bacta tank, 1 or 2 hallways, a tauntaun, snowspeeder (redesigned in grey) and a Hoth AT-ST (very similair to the one from 8038, but with closed eyes and some additions). Piece count: About 1000. Price: $150 ~ General Magma
January 2, 201114 yr That's a good idea but I doubt there'll ever be any rereleases by TLG without at least some improvement (or at least change for better or worse). If they ever did re-release the old mini sets (which I seriously doubt will happen) and the change them, I hope that they would keep the podracer's energy beam the same. I never got the original but I'm pretty sure they used orange lightsaber blades. Those would be really useful to make more jedi. But as I said, I don't believe TLG would re-release these minis. They are more likely to do more minis based on vehicles seen in the CW series, due to the fact that that is what the majority of kids would be fans of these days, and would recognize those vehicles best. Its really too bad. But again, with the release of the movies in 3D there is a chance of revamped minis.

January 2, 201114 yr They did, although a purple blade would've been more accurate. Well yes, but orange is more rare IMO. Orange blades give more possibilities for custom Jedi. Anyway, this is beginning to get off-topic.

January 3, 201114 yr Not really, we're discussing the want of a rerelease of the MINI pods and what pieces it would contain. The only use for an orange blade would be for Plo Koon's lightsaber, but after CW wrecked the canonicity of that fact... Well if we are sticking to only the canon characters, than no there is no use for it, but what about the people who like to make their own Jedi that are not part of the story originally? That is all I was pointing at. EDIT: Sorry, this is getting off topic. The only reason I would buy re-released podracer minis is if they did come with orange blades so I could make some different Jedi. Edited January 3, 201114 yr by Fives
January 3, 201114 yr Just an idea: Battle of Rugosa- Yoda, Thire, Rys, Jek, Ventress, 2 B1's, 1 B2. Vehicles: AAT, escape pod. Cost: $80.00.
January 3, 201114 yr Just an idea: Battle of Rugosa- Yoda, Thire, Rys, Jek, Ventress, 2 B1's, 1 B2. Vehicles: AAT, escape pod. Cost: $80.00. We are already getting a couple of new sets in the summer 2011 wave that basically include the main characters you mentioned. We are getting one set that has Ventress from season three, and we are getting the frigate ship that takes Yoda to the surface of Rugossa, and that set has Yoda and a couple of yet-to-be-determined clones, along with some other Jedi. Since we are getting these sets, I doubt that an actual Rugossa set would come out. But it is a good idea. I think it would be great if we could get a King Katuunko and maybe some of his Toydarian guards. Possibly the Toydarian ship briefly seen in that episode could be a set...
January 3, 201114 yr Any thoughts on my Slave I and Echo Base ideas on page 102, anyone? Some new ideas, nonetheless: Battle of Naboo (or perhaps "Gungan Attack" or "Gungan Patrol", since we already had a Battle of Naboo this year, although Gungan Patrol was used too. But it'd not be the first set to reuse names.) Minifigs: 2 Gungan Warriors, Captain Tarpals, 4 B1 Battle Droids and 1 new droideka. (Total: 8) Comes with: 2 new Kaadu (feathers on the back for both, one pair is optional as for the battle wagon), Gungan Battle Wagon with blue zamor sphere pieces from Bionicle (the same idea I used), a Fambaa with a shield generator mounted on its back. (Would probably become a large low-piece count animal figure, poseable legs (removable) and removable head and a tan minifig scale AAT (redesign, similair to the 8018, with some differences). Also comes with a couple of new gungan weapons. Piece count: About 400. Price: €60 Tusken Camp Minifigs: 2 Tusken Raider warriors (redesigned with new head, horns included), 1 Tusken Raider chieftain, 2 Jawas and a skeleton. (Total: 6) Comes with: New Bantha, Tusken Camp components (i.e. tents and a weapon rack) on sandy and rocky hills/mountains (optional), some loose bones and the corpse of an animal. New gaffi sticks with tusken rifles for the Tuskens, and stun blasters for both Jawas included. Piece count: About 150. Price: €25 Ewok Tree Village Minifigs: Luke Skywalker (Endor), Han Solo, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Wicket, Chief Chirpa, Logray, 2 generic ewoks (brown fur, dark brown hood and the other brown fur with a dark green hood) and 1 stormtrooper. (Total: 10) Comes with: Large tree with a platform to support 2 huts, the "throne" for 3PO, the cooking place, some plants and several weapons for the ewoks, aswell as a lightsaber for Luke, and a blaster for Han (the new one from this year's battlepacks). Piece count: About 400 Price: €45 ~ General Magma Edited January 3, 201114 yr by General Magma
January 3, 201114 yr If our theories about wave 2 next year focusing on AotC are coreect then I think the possibilities of new Tuskens (and something similar to your set, General Magma) are fairly high. The Tusken heads could be differently printed versions of Darth Maul and Savage Opress (ridiculous name, in my opinion).
January 3, 201114 yr I have realized something as I was going through the sets people want. A LOT of them have old/rare minifigures, and in large quantities. I highly doubt TLC will actually give that many minifigures (especially the old/rare ones) in sets that small. And since Star Wars is always more, I don't believe there is much hope for these cheap, yet huge sets. However, a reintroduction of the Old Slave 1 with Jango would be cool. As would some of the other sets you guys mentioned.

And since Star Wars is always more, I don't believe there is much hope for these cheap, yet huge sets. No old/rare figures for mine, really, except for the Jawas. The ones from the sandcrawler (I have that set) seem perfect to me already, although they could renew them a bit, as long as they don't look too different from the older ones. The tusken raiders could definitely do with a redesign: when was the last time we've seen them? 2002. So it's time for them to make a comeback - just like Jar Jar Binks, the Gungan Warriors (both 2011), the Ewoks (2009), the Geonosians, Watto, Sebulba, etc. (2011), and now I'm just referring to the different species. With the exception of Darth Maul and some others, since he wasn't seen for the last time too long ago - 2007. So it's about time that we're getting new Tuskens, it would be a great opportunity for a Bantha too, like I mentioned in my idea. ~ General Magma

Piece count: About 1000. Price: $150 ~ General Magma You asked for some thoughts on your ideas. I really like the idea of the Slave 1 and Obi-Wan's Jedi starfighter. Two sets we really need redone. The Hoth Echo Base sounds interesting, but that seems like a lot of figs for that price (I know we got the Endor set with 12 figs, but that was a special set) and some of the figs you mentioned are not well known characters to kids, so I doubt that this set would realisticly be released. Also, with the past release of a lot of Hoth stuff, something like this seems rare, but who knows. There is that new rumour of another Hoth set. But we deffinitely need a new Jango set.

Piece count: About 1000. Price: $150 ~ General Magma Please, no more Slave 1's for a while. We have FOUR of them already. Have we ever had a set with hallways? I'm thinking we'll get a small medical bay along with a remake of the old version of this set. I'd love to get an injured Luke and the major/general; guess we'll see.
January 4, 201114 yr A reissue of the Imperial Dropship, and the Rebel Scout Speeder would be nice to see, considering that both the basic Stormtrooper AND the Rebel Trooper are hardly available outside sets upwards of 50 dollars. With the exception of Luke's landspeeder (and I know the Tie Defender has been on discount.). I'm a practical kind of guy, so I just don't feel up to dropping 259.99 on the Imperial Shuttle for a single Stormie. Endor has two Scouts, but not a single Stormtrooper!? Come on at least throw one in there for the sake of the scene you're recreating. I'm sorry I don't mean to rant, but it's late at night and I just discovered that I'm missing a ton of Storm trooper helmets, AND my Jango Fett. Regardless, it would be nice to see another basic stormtrooper/rebel trooper battle pack in the future.

Regardless, it would be nice to see another basic stormtrooper/rebel trooper battle pack in the future. For Endor, the general belief among slight or non-SW fans is that there are Death Star Stormies, Hoth Stormies, and Endor Stormies; not Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, and Scout Troopers. For them, as far as Endor is concerned, the Scout is the Stormie. The Scout is certainly more iconic at that locale, so TLG can save a little money that way. Let's see, if 2012 is an OT BP year, that'll probably be the Endor BPs, so that they'd still be around for the 30th Anniversary. That would make 2013 a PT/CW BP year, so we're looking at 2014 or later for Ep.4 BPs.
January 4, 201114 yr Another idea: Pod Hunting: Minifigs: Koon, Wollfe (officer), Boost, Sinker, and 3 B1 Rocket droids. Vehicles: Pod Hunter, escape pod. Cost:$40.00.
January 4, 201114 yr Another idea: Pod Hunting: Minifigs: Koon, Wollfe (officer), Boost, Sinker, and 3 B1 Rocket droids. Vehicles: Pod Hunter, escape pod. Cost:$40.00. Neat idea. The pod hunter is a ship I feel we should have already gotten. It is a really cool ship, but if they ever did release, I think it should come with new commando droids, like the ones we saw in the episode Rookies. Those droids are pretty awesome. As BPs go, we are in need of Endor BPs, but we better only get two scouts in the Imperial one if we get it. That leaves room for two plain stormies. The Rebel BP just as to have some more Endor Rebel troops (which it will have to) and everyone will be happy.
January 4, 201114 yr Please, no more Slave 1's for a while. We have FOUR of them already. 3 of them are Boba Fett's: The last Jango Slave I was from 9 years ago and is very rare now, costing alot (it wasn't very good either) - we could use a new Jango, aswell. ~ General Magma
