382nd Legionnaire is suggesting both: a BP with random troopers.

I meant that I didn't think that TLG would make such a Pack.

There wasn't anything wrong legally with that BP, either.

I know. I just think that TLG will not make such a pack.

1. The only thing that is not legal is just selling 'Figs.

2. I just remembered that this year had a Clone BP. I was simply differentiating between the two.

Those would sell like hotcakes, 382. Something to the effect of 2 regular clones, one random specialist clone (pilot, gunner, ARF, etc) and a random colored legion clone (501st, Wolfpack, others). :thumbup:

That's a very interesting idea. I would definitely clean the shelves if Lego did this. :classic:

I meant that if TLG put a vehicle into the set, they would just make it a BP, not a random-Clone pack. TLG has never made a random-contents set in a box before. I suppose that that is because there would be a greater risk of theft.

Theft of a $13 set? :wink:

I was thinking one way to mediate the random content problem. I can only imagine opening one of these to find that I got a plain white clone helmet, a 501st Legion torso, and a 212th battalion legs. Lego could make the set have 3 clone troopers that will be the same with every set with the speeder bike and randomly include a separate baggy with a random clone trooper from the 501st Legion or Wolfpack. It shouldn't be anything new as Lego has done the chrome Stormtrooper and gold C-3PO.

I wonder if Palpatine's Arrest will have the hallway where Palps reveals that he is a Sith.

It will likely have the command center where he was confronted, and the office.

Maybe partially as Mace Windu and his fellow Jedi come through the door. Having just the room will make it awkward for the minifies to enter through the door.

Huh, i seriously oppose the idea of randomness within LEGO sets. Indeed, I for my part would stop buying BPs - and i tend to buy multiples of a kind - if i would get something i don't know of ahead. This is a personal stance, one of having spent loads of money on trading cards stuff in my youth. Still, i can imagine that many other people might tend to it as well if there were different rarity levels of certain items within a set. Randomness works well for the single collectible minifigs and it would also do for the SW universe as well if the sets are easily affordable en masses for children's pocket money.

But let's face it: most LEGO is being bought by adults - and be it for their children - who in tendency prefer to know what they get for their buck. While this point can at least partially be countered by the simple fact that social empirical studies have found out children to have impact on up to 25% of their parent's budget spending, there remains one marketing aspect TLG asmost certainly won't neglect: Part of the unique selling proposition for many LEGO SW sets is the inclusion of rare and / or highly wanted minifigs. IMHO, TLG would have to face loss in sales of bigger sets if they included rare figs in cheap BPs or even smaller products.

I agree that the ISD needs a remake (2014 maybe), with Vader, Two Stormies,an Imperial Officer or two, and one of the ESB Bounty Hunters(Zuckuss?) with a detailed interior including the bridge as the main partx and Vader's meditation chamber where the bridge should be (just thinking like TLC here, what I really want is a minifig-scale ISD with a crazy amount of figs).

I think Mos Eisley should just be the cantina (a good one, this time) with Han, Greedo, some of the band, Chewie, Luke and Old Ben. I doubt that TLC would make the whole area of Mos Eisley.

A late reply on my part - sry for that - but i have to agree. I would love to have an ISD ASAP - and continue to hope for it - but the CW stuff might very well have priority ATM. Mos Eisley would be a real collector's gem and i keep dreaming of it - a smaller cantina set might be more realistic, though.

*snip*

While I'm Here I would also like to put the idea of a cloud City set similar in price and size to the new Jabba's Palace out there..

Cloud City: Luke, Leia, Han, C-3PO, Lando, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Stromtrooper, Bespin Guard,4-Lom Cloud Car-119.99$

Thanks For Reading.

Oh, yes - i cannot explain how i could forget to point out that! *oh2*

You're damned right - the time for a new cloud city set is highly due. :classic:

A big set is preferrable and more likely as well. It allows TLG to release a more memorable classic as the 2003 one (gosh, that's long ago!) was, too. :wink:

I was always hoping for a series with models that are located between UCS and playsets:

Millenium Falcon with a wall representing a part of the hangar (Mos Eisley) and the entrance.

The backside represents part of the streets scenario, a door where the droids can hide, and the cantina.

Minifigs are the usual suspects, including 1-3 Sandtroopers, Greedo, and Garindan.

It's all been moved but This is the original Phase II Trooper from the BP and CTT, and This is the one from the SS. This is the Phase '1.5' Trooper which wouldn't work for a CW Phase II trooper.

I would be all over this. I would love to army build different types of clones and this would be an easy and affordable way to do it. Of course I'll still end up spending a lot of money, I would just have a lot of clones to show for it.

Hmmm? How about some things that would work well both for CW and EU if not minor mention in the movies.

- How about Bossk's "Hound's Tooth" with a decent mix of Bounty Hunting figs? (Bossk, 4-Lom, Zuckas, teenage Boba Fett, the Green and Pink chick, etc). Make it big enough to put it in the $60-$70 dollar range so it has a decent amount of interior space for figs and captives.

- To go along with the Bossk theme a battle pack of Trandoshian hunters with a hover platform (from the CW eps Padawan Lost and Wookie Hunt) and a matching/opposing Wookie Battle pack of some sort.

- Or how about a Luxury Yacht 3000 / "Lady Luck"? fig it out either in the BH assortment from the CW episode, or even better in some mix involving Lando. Do a really nice interior on it.

For non ship playset type sets,

- The long begged for Ewok Village

- A Jedi Temple playset. So many possibilities there from CW or the movies.

For attack of the clones I think Lego have chance to release a lot of Jedi in non clone wars versions. I think we won't see a temple every made because of its appeal to youngsters there's no play features that could attach kids what would the descriptions be. "open the door for the Jedi to enter the counsel chamber looks like qui gon has more to say spin yodas chair to face him. The younglings need training fire flick missiles teach them how to dodge". Unless its released as part of something special like to mark the release of revenge of the sith in 3d or the last series in the clone wars. But next year there's a big chance to give a lot of Jedi the live action look they deserve. Plus most of them only need new face prints like aalya ans ki adi mundi. One or two need the complete make over like luminara. If they were all spilt up into geonosian stands and maybe a republic gunship and at te.

I would buy it just for the Captain Needa minifig (hopefully with a choking expression).

How feasible is a Cloud City playset, in a similar fashion to the Death Star playset?

You could have:

- Carbon freeze chamber (obviously);

- Balcony where "I am your father" takes place;

- Conference room (where Han shoots at DV);

- Torture room;

- Detention chamber;

- Hallways where shootout/chase takes place;

- Robot scrap room (which TLG has already done)

- Cargo bay.

It's possible. As far as I know I've made the only attempt but would love to see others try.

Wow, this is unbelievable! :wub: ~3000 pieces is chump change for what you have produced. I'd love to see the completed set. I'd love it even more if you provide us with the LXF! :wink:

That is fantastic! (Now if only I had a large enough library to build one... or the space to set it down once built... minor details all)

In the movies the Jedi Temple is a fairly dull place that they mostly just walk through or sit around in... well up until the point where the main character starts killing all of the children. (something that I suspect that Lego does not want to implicitly put on the box as a "play feature")

But!

There is that whole series of CW episodes where the bounty hunters steal a Holocron from the temple. Lot's of kid oriented play possibilities there. Hatches, passages, ventilation shafts, hidden secret areas of the library, exploding droids, etc. and the possibility of some neat new Minifigs. (I vote for a Jocasta Nu and maybe finally a Robonino?) And we know Lego has given this story some thought as it shows up in the BH Assault Gunship. (granted it showing up there is completely and utterly wrong...)

Yeah, I can't get excited by a Jedi Temple model. Probably something to do with the prequels leaving such a bad taste in my mouth, although I have a fleeting interest in Anakin's Jedi Interceptor.

I think that the fundamental problem to creating a Jedi Temple playset can be avoided by reinterpreting Order 66: it's not about eliminating all the Jedi but rather about capturing them:

Jedi Temple playset

- Jedi Temple (different locations featuring a secreting pathway/hideout)

- Senator Oragana's speeder

- any random speeder

Minifigures

- Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker (Sith, hood, cape)

- 501st Trooper (2x)

- Jedi Mistress Jocasta Nu

- Jedi Younglings (2x)

- Senator Bail Organa

"Let Jocasta Nu distract Anakin and his troopers while the Jedi Younglings hide and escape hidden in Senator Organa's speeder. Let Mistress Nu escape via a different speeder." Something like that; I think the idea is clear. The same can be done with pretty much every scene of Order 66. It may be an interesting idea to give certain characters a double sided head to for TCW and the PT setting.

I want some Hoth themed sets more focused on the battle. Currently we have little side stories like the wampa cave, and echo base. I want more core battle sets, perhaps broken up into mini sets that can come together to build a full scale battle. Eg probe droid, speeder bikes, cannons, generator. A bit like we saw with endor

LEGOman273, I've moved your post in here because it's more suited to this speculation thread.
