Corvus Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Same thing with every store I've been to. It's not that the set sucks, it's that it's rediculously overpriced. Quote
posades Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I'd be willing to buy one just for the Clone Pilot, but only at a reduced price (50% off would be nice). Quote
natelite Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 same here in sydney. i think they should just cut the price in half like what they did in the uk. Quote
AFOL SF Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 With so many new sets and the price of each set, I think consumers are just buying the ones they really liked. Add the current (world) economy to the equation, some are probably even holding back buying high-priced sets. There are just not many 'completist' collectors compared to past years. Nowadays, one has to choose a set that his/her budget can afford. Quote
KimT Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 A good question. The V19 is on sale a lot of places here in Denmark. But this discussion belongs in the "Star Wars Sets anyone?"-thread, so I'll close it up and move/merge it there later. Feel free to continue this discussion there. Quote
ADHO15 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I would really like to see kit fisto's delta class star fighter. It would be 20 dollars, and an easy kit fisto. Kit Fisto's fighter is very similar to Ahsoka's fighter released not long ago so I doubt we'll see another like it. Hopefully, Kit Fisto (CW Version) will appear in a set soon. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Kit Fisto's fighter is very similar to Ahsoka's fighter released not long ago so I doubt we'll see another like it. Hopefully, Kit Fisto (CW Version) will appear in a set soon. Since Plo-Koon, CW version would be exactly the same in normal version, then Kit Fisto, CW style would be the same as normal style. And even though Ahsoka's fighhter is slightly different from Obi's and Fisto's, I use it for all three. But again... Plo's fighter with Aayla in it? Anyone? Anyone??? Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) Plo's fighter with Aayla in it? Anyone? Anyone??? I think lego should think of a better way to include Aayla in a set. We really need order 66 sets. A sad way to get all our favorite jedi who were... murdered. Edited January 13, 2009 by Natman4000 Quote
The Who Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Plo's fighter with Aayla in it? Anyone? Anyone??? Sidecar? Anyway, Plo piloting and Aayla on the side would be great also. Sets I would mainly want are: 1. Gungan sub. 2. Better Watto's junkyard/shop. 3. 10th Anniver. Super-sized Mos Espa Podrace, with new alien figs and all of the pods and racers. (unlikely) and I may be crazy, but 4. Gungan battle pack/army builder with revised gungan figs. Quote

Podrace: VERY unlikely. Gungan battle pack: I'll join you there. When the MTT was released I didn't have any gungans to fight all the droids that came in the set as I missed the original Gungan Patrol set. I'd like a gungan on a kaadu and another 3 or 4 to fight as well. Quote
The Who Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I have a boat-load of Jar-Jars, but I'm using them all for the wrong themes/reasons/and mocs. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 I have a boat-load of Jar-Jars, but I'm using them all for the wrong themes/reasons/and mocs. Jar Jar in Fabuland? How interesting! Anyways, there are plenty of collectors who've got tons of Jar Jars, but a lot of newer fans like me didn't start collecting until 2007, so I never had a single Jar-Jar, and think of all the kids weren't even born until after all of the Jar Jar sets were put out and sold! I think a lot of buys would be on a set with Jar Jar, especially a less-known set like the pirate tank, which might solely get more buys because of the most pathetic character in SW history. Mesa wantsa Jar Jar. (Don't kill me OT fans!) Quote

I think that people hate Jar Jar, but collectors want his minifig, because as pathetic and un-star warsy as he is, we need him to complete our collections, because he is such a prominent character. -JD- Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 About the V-19; it was on sale for £10 in Woolies when it shut down. I got the last two in Coventry! Great buy though. It is a shame it is not on discount everywhere. Quote

You have got to be joking. BTW if there was a set this massive, it would HAVE to be the empire with storm troopers instead of clone troopers. Clone troopers are like... lame stormtroopers SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS, REALLY? Even if you bought all the elments needed to create this set (BP's for blones and droids and such, as well as sets for AAT's) you'd probably only spend about 2-3 thousand. SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!! ADHO15 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 for like €600,00 or $620,00 a SIXTY thousand dollar set? You have got to be joking. He means $620 (which is still rediculously high and the set wouldn't interest me at all). In some countries they use a comma instead of a decimal point eg. £10.00 = £10,00 or $60.00 = $60,00. Get it? Natman8000 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I think a better idea than that is a 100-200 dollar battle pack. How about 10 clones, 2 commanders, 1 medic, 10 SBDs, 10 battle droids, and 2 droidekas. And a battle field with STAPs and it could come with clone speeders and lots of stuff! Quote
Future74 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I think the Separatists (CIS) should get their stardestroyer-size ship like maybe Count Dooku's Frigate or the Invisible Hand. Quote
