yeah thats a set I've been considering, but ideally I'd like a set that was about £50 that was just a snowspeeder and figure, A bit like the X-Wing sets I guess which tend to come in at that price range.

I would be open to that (especially if it gave us a Dack figure!) but isn't the new one already figure scaled? I'm not very knowledgeable about Star Wars ship sizes and schematics to be honest... But if it is, I'm not sure LEGO could inflate the piece count that much to make it cost $50 on its own.

So now that a new DK visual dictionary has been confirmed, what minifig do you guys think will be included? I think a Chewbacca with Medal would make for a great tongue in cheek joke that matches the other books, although I think I'd be most excited for a member of the ghost trio from the end of Return of the Jedi, since the Ewok Village missed a chance for releasing them.

@Montyofmusic

good point about the scaling, I think you are right the current snow speeders are probably about right. So I guess the set I ideally want, would be too big for figures and is unlikely. I'll be checking out the set set you recommended though, thanks.

@jindianajonz

I guess we've had luke and han in previous, and vadar from the empire strikes out dvd. On similar lines, Yoda, Darth Maul and Fett covered by the calendars so far,

Perhaps Leia? or Chewwy?

I like the idea of getting one of the ghost trio from the end of ROTJ. Preferably Yoda or Anakin, since Obi-Wan can always be saved for a future Dagobah set.

Another option is either Luke or Leia in their costumes from the Star Wars theatrical poster.

Best poster ever! (About the only thing close are the Frank Frazetta Battlestar Galactica posters). Although I am not sure that I need quite that much hairy 70's Luke chest in my minifigs. (and no idea how they would pull off Leia's skirt?)

Isn't the Snowspeeder pilot with the last planet sets basically Dak Ralter?

We've had the celebration Leia with the Y-Wing... I'm thinking that out of all the incarnations of the main 'A-Team' characters there's Han in Endor overcoat (although I've just made a custom of that which I'm quite happy with)... Leia Bespin Escape, Leia Bespin, Luke Bespin fatigues and Lando Bespin. I don't think they'd issue new figures from a set like Cloud City with a book though and I'm hoping future Cloud City sets cover those figures as well as a Cloud Car Pilot.

Jan Dodonna maybe? or is he too obscure for the DK book buying public? Maybe Nien Numb? A new Biggs? I'd personally love a Garven Dreis figure... all that would need is a new helmet print!

How about printing snow on the new Chewie for a Hoth era version like when he and Han checked out the probe droid?

... the more I think about it now the more I'm liking trans-blue figures for the Force Ghosts at the end of ROTJ!

Although there aren't too many data points, the books (barring Yoda Chronicles) seem to be offering iconic figures in specific situations that wouldn't make for very good sets (Although they prototyped a Yavin 4, they obviously decided not to go through with it). That's what made me think of the ghost figures- they are all iconic, and if any set were to include them, it would have been the Ewok village. I think Jan Dodonna, Nien Numb, and Biggs would be easy enough to slip into other sets (In fact, I'm surprised they haven't included Biggs in any of the recent X-wings). An episode 6 Millenium Falcon set with Lando, Nien Numb, and various rebel personel would be great!

Another possibility would be looking to the prequel trilogies- wasn't there a medal ceremony at the end of Episode 1? Unfortunately, none of the specific costumes in those movies stand out enough for me to make a judgement call.

Then again, Yoda Chronicles just included a Clone Trooper, so maybe they are steering away from their old mold. In fact, Yoda Chronicles would have been the perfect place for a ghost Yoda, so that's a point against that ghost idea.

Yeah... I hadn't thought about the Force Ghosts being with the Ewok Village before now. That would have been great.

I suppose a ROTJ Falcon with Lando and Nien Numb would make sense at some point... they'd probably throw a revised Wedge into that too.

Even as I go through things in my head they would all make good sets... Luke in Dagobah vest... but Dagobah needs a remake and an OT Yoda.

Maybe that's what the Wolfe is being saved for. Yoda mentions about contacting Qui Gon Jinn through the Force in ROTS I think?.... so maybe a Force Ghost Qui Gonn? Even though it didn't actually appear?

I still think the absolutely perfect obscure fig for a book would be "Lando in Han's Clothing" from the end of ESB. As he and Chewie pilot the Falcon away in search of Han.

The only thing that would stop that is that there's normal some unique printing to make the book more attractive. I'm not sure if buttoning up Hans shirt or printing brown flesh into the neck area is enough of a change.

It certainly is an option though... not a bad one! Probably the one incarnation of the 'A-Team' that I didn't think of.

dude I'm with you there. I love Kashyyyk. although more Wookies would be nice

Most definitely with you on the Wookiees. I was hoping LEGO would remake the Catamaran and Wookiee flyer. I love the fact that we are getting 41st. troopers and commander Gree, but what made Kashyyyk so great was the army of Wookiees. Who knows, TLG might surprise us and give us remakes in the summer.

i love both of those sets! I don't have them personally but I'm in the process of getting them. I'm not really a fan of the newer Kashyyyk Scout trooper like I am the Ph.2 Trooper but hey I'm not complaining since I have the Ph.1 Gree and no troopers for him.

Anyone like the new Death Star Troopers or the 2nd Airborne troopers

Wasn't Nien Numb the one that is with lando during the assult on the 2nd death star or was that Ten Numb

Yep! Which is why I thought he'd be great for an Episode 6 Millenium Falcon set (piloted by Lando, not Han Solo).

Ten Numb... I don't even remember from the movie, but he was included with the last minifig scale B-Wing.

I just want a remake of cloud city and some more Kashyyyk based sets.

Well there is a rumour that we are getting either Cloud City or a Sandcrawler as a UCS set for 2014.

Oh, I thought it was a common knowledge by now that it is a Sandcrawler, tired of bringing up arguments from like 10 pages ago...

Just out of curiosity, was this a rumor, info leak, or LEGO reveal. Personally I don't care much for a Sandcrawler as I would for a Cloud City set.

it seemed to me it was nothing but people making valid/invalid arguments as to which it will be depending on the one they liked the most. so far i believe we are all just dreaming and nothing have really leaked from any source. so i guess it could be any of the two or something completely else. others are making valid/invalid arguments that it will be slave 1

personally i want the jedi temple

Dreaming of what will be the futur sets is part the AFOLs pleasures !

Amen to that

Well, it was kind of a logical conclusion based on the posts some informed people made on brickset forum way back. There should be an AT-AT system set and Sandcrawler and Slave I as UCS sets in May and September respectively.
