Flandy Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Looking at both the Y-wing I have and the many snowspeeders out there, I've long thought a new canopy could be made to cover both those vehicles, with possibly different printing to account for the detail differences. The overall shape of the two is very similar. Quote
jdm44 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I really want a new Blockade Runner and Venator. The 2009 versions are too expensive for me. A new Frigate/Cruiser and Y-wing would be cool too but they're not as high on my wantlist. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I feel the 2012 Y-Wing is sufficient. If they release a new canopy I would just Bricklink it. Anyway, anybody want to start speculating Rogue One sets? I want that imperial landspeeder tank! Quote
Junior Shark Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Anyway, anybody want to start speculating Rogue One sets? I want that imperial landspeeder tank! I know, right? As hyped I am for possible sets of that and that sweet 4-winged shuttle thing, I'm most excited for the minifigures of the three new trooper types. Quote
Forresto Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 You know they're probably going to update the rebel naval troopers too! Battle packs with updated rebel naval troopers and one of the new Imperial forces would be incredible! Quote
jdm44 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I'm not really into minifigures, but I would be happy with all of the vehicles shown in the trailer becoming sets. Quote

Anyway, anybody want to start speculating Rogue One sets? I want that imperial landspeeder tank! That's why I specified in a couple years, I don't want it to push out another set but it'll come up for renewal soon anyways. They run the big ones over and over for each generation to be able to buy it in stores. An Endor pilot, new helmet and droid prints and a new canopy would throw a bone to older fans. Quote

I guess in a few more years a re-release would happen; although I'll probably not care for it, a new Y-Wing would do well especially with collectors and children who missed the last ones. I guess the same applies to my 2012 set in a way, since I missed both of the previous sets and I wanted a Y-Wing so I bought it. Quote

The biggest problem with the current canopy is the open top, which both of those lack. Quote
brickmasterben11 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 If i had to choose one vehicle for a Star Wars set from Rebels, I would choose the Prototype B6/Blade wing (or the first version of the B-Wing star fighter.) I have always liked the B-Wing star fighter, and I would like to see a orange B-Wing! Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) I'd love a "Confrontation on Mallachor" set or something like that. Not for the build, but for the epic minifigure lineup (just imagine the number of lightsabers in such a set... ): Ahsoka Tano (determined face/sad face) - two clear-bladed lightsabers Darth Vader (with slashed-open mask, new face print with eyebrows and hateful expression) - red-bladed lightsaber Kanaan Jarrus (with Temple Guard helmet) - blue-bladed lightsaber Ezra Bridger (curious face/angry face with yellow-red 'dark-side-eyes') - blue-bladed lightsaber Maul - red-bladed lightsaber Chopper Seventh Sister - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber Fifth Brother - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber that other new Inquisitor - dual red-bladed inquisitor lightsaber Will never happen, but one can dream... or MOC this! bootz Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 The Blade Wing seems like an obvious choice, it'd be desireable enough to stand on its out without an additional ship in the set, unlike the A-wing which they felt needed Vader's TIE. I'll be getting the set, but I'd have preferred to get several stand alone A-wings for about that price. Beyond that, I'd like the yellow TIE, though that seems doubtful, and perhaps Sabine's custom TIE. The TIE Bomber is another obvious choice, though that could always be sold as an ESB set too. The Mandlorian fighters from The Protector Of Concorde Dawn would be nice too. I'd love to get Hando in a set, even if he's just an additional figure. A Rebel ship to mirror the Gozanti would be nice too. Quote

Brickthus Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 I want a buildable and driveable LEGO BB-8 droid, badly enough that I have had a go at making one. So far, after 4 months and 200 hours of building, I have a half-size sphere that will roll and turn with about 0.5m radius under remote control. The sphere colour scheme is looking OK and many of the tools can be deployed manually - "thumbs up", panels, arms and tubes. The head has a new safe but versatile magnet encasement scheme as the first stage towards keeping the head on whilst rolling. I will work on the spinning function and keep pushing forward on the head attachment. So far the price point for a set would be £170-200, a bit like 42030 Volvo Loader with a similar number of motorized functions. I think the LEGO system is capable of this and we shouldn't let Sphero etc, take all the glory! If you would like to see a buildable and driveable LEGO BB-8 droid then . If you would like a new safe but versatile magnet piece for another project then please also support the project for that reason. Thanks, Mark Edit by Hinckley: Removed link. appiah4 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Off the top of my mind, chronologically: PT: What Prequel Trilogy? OT: An Obi-Wan Kenobi's Hut or Yoda's Hut (granted this was kind of done with the 4502 X-Wing set) would be great for a nice display model and some cool minifigures. A Death Star Prison Block set with play elements for saving the princess, possibly with a Trash Compactor set to go with it, would be great. I think a diorama set like Mini Death Star Assault with a mini Death Star (with a trench) and a lot of mini X-Wings, Y-Wings, TIE-Fighters and a TIE Advanced X1 would be super great. They seem to be on a Hoth roll lately so Quantum Storm (First transport is away!) would be cool. A Star Destroyer Bridge from the iconic scenes in Empire Strikes Back Cloud City Dining Room is a great diorama set that never got made. Cloud City Duel is a no brainer that never got made either The Nebulon-B Medical Frigate Redemption would make a midi sized or full size capital ship if not a UCS. Interestingly enough pretty much EVERYTHING I can thin of from Return of the Jedi has been mined for ideas.. except Home One, which has only been released as a Hangar set, and a Home One Command Room or Home One spaceship could still be pretty neat. NT: I'm sure we will get it eventually but a UCS Finalizer or simply a Resurgent Class Star Destroyer (we haven't had a star destroyer for quite a time now no?) would be great. A non-special forces TIE-Fighter would be cool I would kill for a Maz Kanata Castle interior set like the Mos Eisley cantina set with lots of aliens. Anyway, lots of ideas, don't know if you would agree with them or not.. Quote
Super Hans Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 We need an OT set with Yoda really. I think an updated Dagobah set is required. Quote
RetroInferno Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 We've had a decent Star Destroyer in 2014, but honestly I wished it was bigger. I'm quite happy however with what Rogue One will bring us this fall: especially curious about that black shuttle with Krennic as the color and resolution didn't allow much detail to be seen. I just wish they could have released a battlepack for both factions with the rest, but oh well, they'll have to wait for winter. Quote
Forresto Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I had a dream last night of a possibly amazing UCS set. What about a UCS Carbon Freezing Chamber? In a similar vein to the current set but much larger and detailed. Possible figures: Darth Vader, 2X Stormtrooper, Luke in Bespin Attire, Updated Lando, Bespin Guard, ESB Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca with C-3PO molded on back, and an Ughnaut. Quote
