RetroInferno Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I think it's safe to assume that RO will get at least 2 terrain based sets ( like TFA did ) and maybe another vehicle, which are assumed to be spoiler related. I would love to get some jungle based starwar sets ( been a while since we had something jungle related in lego might I add ). I guess we will also see Mads Mikkelsen in a playset with some spoilery characters too. I have a solid feeling somthing like this set is gonna see the light. Guerrera's Den: 60$, includes Guerrera, Jin in alternate outfit, 2 classic stormies and one Guerrera's cell rebel trooper. Maybe Mikkelsen, I have no clue of where's plugged in the story. Quote
YellowCorvette Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I may been the only one here and this may seems like a controversial idea, but I'll like to see a larger and more detailed version of the Starscavenger from the Freemakers TV show. I just started to watch the show and I kinda like the design of the craft, but I did think that the current set didn't really did justice to the real thing that well. Quote

I just started to watch the show and I kinda like the design of the craft, but I did think that the current set didn't really did justice to the real thing that well. I would prefer they just crash it and get a new one really =P. It looks like a butchered defender class corvette (one of my favorite ships). It makes me sad whenever I see it. If they release a more detailed version they better do a complete overhaul. The design looks really lazy compared to other sets with nice SNOT builds and all that. Enlarging it they way they did in the show sure doesn't do it any favors. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Usually people can predict what's coming up for next year sets but, this time I have no idea. I'm expecting some extra Rogue One sets and of course Rebels sets from Season 3. I'm unsure what else though. What are you guys expecting to see and what ideas do you have? Quote
fire117 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I'd like to see a set done based on the Star Wars Rebels season 2 episode The Honourable Ones with Agent Kallus and Zeb minifigures along with one of the massive creatures brick built as part of the set. It's be a nice way to get the Zeb minifigure is only available to get in only The Ghost Lego set and depending on price it's be a nice way to get Agent Kallus as well preferably with the hair piece and helmet both included. As well as a lego set with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Governor Pryce in it. Quote

Definitely 2 Rogue One BP's (my guess is I'll be buying several). The Yoda's Hutt rumor seems really plausible and exciting. I'm hoping for a Cloud City twin-pod with a new Lando fig. It has been 14 years since the last minifig-friendly version and it fits the $30 range for winter wave sets. Quote
Hokierespect Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I'm hoping for a good hoth set. Similar to this years hoth attack for about 25 bucks American. Maybe a more intricate version of the Wampa cave, with a Wampa and Tauntaun and Luke and Han. Also a hoth command center. Two 25-35 dollar Hoth sets feels about right. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Well, there's a reasonably priced AT-ST in the Rogue One sets... awesome. I'm going to get it, even if it's not very poseable. Other things I want: -updated Snowspeeder -TIE Interceptor and Bomber -a Y-Wing (last one was in 2012, I missed it completely. I know X-Wing's are more iconic, but there's a decent TFA one out now and they haven't made one that I actually like... Poe's has a whole slew of problems) Quote
Fives Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 After seeing that epic Rebels season 3 trailer, I'm really really hoping LEGO decides to make the Outrider, Dash Rendar's ship from Shadows of the Empire. It appears a couple times in the trailer, and honestly now my hopes have spiked for the inclusion of Rendar himself in the show. If they can resurrect Thrawn from the EU, why not Dash? The Shadows of the Empire game on the N64 was such a huge part of my childhood, and finally seeing Rendar's awesome ship in something canon brings such warmth to my heart, and hopefully they'll bring back the smirky merc for adventures with the Ghost crew. However, nothing would tickle my fancy more than an actual Shadows of the Empire-themed Outrider, with Dash (and his jet pack from the game of course), Leebo, his droid co pilot, and a couple Stormtroopers and maybe a Probot. While the actual chance to see this as a real set is pretty much non-existent, one can dream. One can dream... Quote

Unfortunately, Filoni has confirmed that this is not the Outrider, just a ship of the same class. So Dash is pretty unlikely. The ship is only appearing because the artists that came up with the Outrider are working in Rebels now, so they wanted to being back some of their art. Quote

The ship is only appearing because the artists that came up with the Outrider are working in Rebels now, so they wanted to being back some of their art. That doesn't surprise me. I doubt they'll bring Dash back into the canon, and if they were to touch any aspect of Shadows of the Emoire at all it would likely be Xizor. However, hopefully the smaller role the ship plays doesn't diminish the chances of getting it as a set. I can make custom Dash and Leebo figs easy, I've done it before. A system scale official Outrider ship, even if it isn't the Outrider (but pretty much would be in my eyes) would be such a gift. That'd be one of those rare ships that I buy literally only for the actual ship. Many sets I get are more for the figures, and the sets are just awesome settings for the characters. But the Outrider is probably my favourite Star Wars ship ever, and an official LEGO version would be so incredibly fantastic. Edited July 24, 2016 by Fives Quote

Legoman123 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I find it quite irritating that Lego decide to keep remaking the same sets over a 3 or 4 year cycle but fail to remake sets like Jango's Slave 1 and Cloud City from over 10 years ago. Quote
LegoAndDisney Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I've been longing for a Palpatine in his Revenge of the Sith attire. I'm talking about the outfit he wore when he fought Yoda in the Senate Chamber. Speaking of which, it baffles me how such an amazing scene hasn't made it's way into a lego set yet :P Quote

You can imagine some marketing person sitting in a meeting and saying how they can't put yoda and palpatine in a cheap set. It must be at least $150 ! Quote
LegoAndDisney Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 LOL ^^ Absolutely! Although I'd be quite happy with a £50 set just to show a few senate pods and the main bit in the middle. They could shove in a Mas Amedda too, seen as we never got him. Quote
atlas Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Oh, my goodness. Imagine, amedda, yoda and palps, and couple of shock troopers. No shortage of play features to be had either. Would be great Quote

TheLunabrick Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Senate duel sounds awesome. I wouldn't mind getting a mustafar set or maybe the naboo energy chamber from episode 1 with Qui Gon, Obi, and Maul in it. Im surprised they've never made a set of the naboo energy chamber battle yet. Quote
The Sarge Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 I'd love to see then do some sets that can be linked together, like they did with the very first Jabbas Palace and two smaller sets. If they did I'd like to see: Cloud City Main set with landing pad, conference room, hallways, and waiting room Lando Leia Bespin Guard Lobot Weathervane Duel Attaches to Cloud City, has the weather vane and maybe another room? Vader Luke Carbonite Freezing Chamber Attaches to Cloud City, just the chamber Han Han in Carbonite Chewbacca Stormtrooper? Ugnaut Cloud Car Fits on the landing platform Bespin Guard Maybe that group could be for 2020 (40 years of ESB) Another group of sets I'd really like would be for Hoth, but that should wait a while after the glut we've had. Maybe 2030 for 50 years. They'd be along the lines of: Echo Base The main hangar, hallways, medbay and communications room Toryn Farr Leia Han Rebel Trooper Snowtrooper Rebel Trenches Attach to side of Echo Base Trench and one of each turret Rebel Trooper x2 Snowtrooper x2 Snowspeeder Fits in hangar Rebel Pilot x2 And then maybe two battlepack released the same time: Rebel BP 3x Rebel Trooper Rebel Officer Infantry Gun Tower Imperial BP 3x Snowtrooper Walker Crewman Tripod Blaster Quote
