I agree, this one

Lucrehulk_blockade.jpg

Would be a perfect set, especially with the introduction of midi-scale sets

Wow, that would be awesome! It could have Nute Gunray, Rude Hanko, Obi-wan, Qui-Gon, TC-14, 2 Battle Droids, and 2 Destroyer Droids!

Note, KimT did say "with the introduction of midi-scale sets," which means no minifigures. While I'm not a big fan of sets without minifigures, I agree with KimT (if this is what he meant) that this ship would make a nice display/swoosh model only, and it would be near impossible to make this ship in the right proportions to not be $400 and nicely fit minifgures.

What I think would be nice to see is the control room where Nute and the others are with the hallway and table area where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon fight the droids. Similar to the upcoming Home One set, this set could just feature the cool scenes within the droid command ship.

... Then we could create mini space battles!

You mean midi-scale space battles, don't you?

I'd love to swoosh a bunch of midi-scale destroyers

*huh*

What do you mean?

You want a towel? Why would you want that?

A big set like what? Why Cmdr Rex, we've already gotten him and why 501st troopers?

You're mixing OT and CW?

Please explain what you mean.

Thanks

its an episode from clone wars, rex and the 501st go to a planet near the moon of pantora, anakin and obi wan go with to make sure, a talz is an animal which enhabitats the planet but no one knew that before they arived. comander rex would be in a speical snow suit hich would look awesome. clone killer, his picture is from the spisode does this help.

What I really want to see is Lego make more OT and less CW. I wouldn't even mind a few more PT sets, but the CW is taking over. I also want Lego to do more playsets and to take signature and recognizable things from the movies and make those instead of obscure stuff. They need to work on making everything once before redoing old sets.

moon of mantora, , a towel is an animal which enhabitats the planet

do you have a hearing problem? or are you just bad at spelling? the planet is called Pantora. And the species is called Talz and pronounced talz not towel.

Indeed.

Making and having a little fun is no harm, but there's no need to get rude.

Let's cool it and get this topic back on track, which means a focus on which sets we'd like to see in the future.

"Stay on target!"

Am I? Kim t said making and having fun was no harm and thats what i did. Its just that i didnt think that he wasn't being serious when he said that it was called a towel. You cant tell sarcasm or any other emotions on forums and chatrooms. Back on target I like the idea of a set with Snow clones and talz. But before we get Talz we need Wampas! Oh how i dream of a Wampa cave with a new Hoth Luke

I partly agree with you. There are too many CW and EU sets released already.

Almost every vehicle from the OT has been released as a set, but I think there are many sets that can be improved, like the blue TIE fighters. If I look at Vader's one, the other TIE's could get the same improvement. And I would like to see an AT-ST Hoth version, in the style of the one in the Endor playset.

I keep spouting stuff out, and I wouldn't mind a crab droid. Those things have been built by tons of people, but Lego hasn't released one yet. Plus, there should be just raw battlepacks, filled with eight or nine people. This way there could be a cheap way to build an army, while at the same time keeping the two opposing sides even.

A crab droid would be good, but would be too small to make any kind of set on its own. Maybe another large Droid BP like the Hailfire Droid set could include a crab droid.

If by 'raw battlepacks' you mean consisting of figs only, I'm pretty sure TLG is not allowed to make them in the Star Wars theme. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think Hasbro owns some kind of rights that allows only them to make individual fig packs. :sceptic:

Well, first off, I realize my mistake on the crab droid. It would be nice to have it with something else.

And, secondly, I hope you're wrong on the battlpeck thing, no offense. Its just that I hope lego can actually provide a ton of figs at once for a reasonable price.

I'm pretty sure I'm right. Why have we not seen anything like this before? I'm sure we've discussed this many times before. I know you're quite new, though, so you may not have seen anything on this topic.

A crab droid, a Tri-Droid and a Clone Artillery Gun- 2 jettroopers, clone gunner, captain rex, clone medic (I wonder what it would look like?) 4 battle droids, 2 super battle droid.

If the AV-7 Antivehicle Cannons would be as big as pedro's MOC, I think that should be in a separate set.

I'd prefer a droids set with an LM-432 crab droid, a tri-droid, 3 battle droids, a OOM command battle droid, 2 super battle droids and Whorm Loathsom; and a clone set with an AV-7 antivehicle cannon, Rex, 2 jet troopers, a clone gunner, and one or two from Obi-Wan, Anakin, Cody or the new R2-D2.

The Senate Commando battlepack is a good idea. Maybe it could include 3 commandos, a commando captain and a special speeder as the BPs include small vehicles. Or, to go another way, it could include 2 commandos and two Coruscant guards. :sweet: Any of these would be fine with me.

"senate guard clones" :oh3::laugh: I assume you mean Coruscant guards as Senate Commandos aren't clones. If TLG did release a BP, it would be great if they included different heads for each commando to give a bit of variation.

About the Senate Building, I doubt they'd release it without some form of Palpatine, even if he has been in a set recently. Fewer Senate commandos and more individual Senator figs like both Padmé and Organa. Good ideas otherwise. :classic:

Which Separatist frigate do you mean? The Munificent-class is used more widely by the Confederacy, but due to its unusual shape and it relatively poor fame, I see TLG going more towards the Malevolence or the Invisible Hand. ("Separtist frigate" isn't good enough for the 'Star Wars Specialist'. )

Also, TLG probably wouldn't release a CIS ship without including a main character/hero like Grievous or Dooku.

I think the trash compactor scene (ANH) would make for a nice small set. They pulled it off well for 10188, and I think those short $400 should be able to get the same kind of deal on it's own. It may be a cheap way to get quite a few figures, like Han + Luke in stormtrooper outfits, Leia and Chewy (who is really nice and quite rare, especially in small sets!)

I also think the alternate scene with threepio and artoo near the elevator would work. It could even include a locked door! :) The two sets could be a duo of sorts, kind of like the Final Duel and Jedi Defense sets (with a higher piece count and price)

Now that I think about it, those are some pretty stupid ideas for sets, but IMO we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with OT sets here. I'm just getting a bit tired of all the CW sets.

Just my thoughts^
