Brickdoctor Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 And I've said it before (most likely earlier in this thread, actually): Where is the UCS TIE Fighter. I can't think of any ship as iconic as the standard TIE that hasn't had a UCS model done. Aside from the X-Wing and Millenium Falcon, it's the only spaceship that appeared in all three of the OT films. And I'd consider it more iconic than the Y-Wing, Naboo N-1, Delta 7 and Imperial Shuttle, all of which have already had a UCS model. It's about time, LEGO. Do you hear me out there. There was the Interceptor, but... Ooh, and the ISD is in all three OT films, but that has a UCS model, so it's beside the point. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 There was the Interceptor, but... Ooh, and the ISD is in all three OT films, but that has a UCS model, so it's beside the point. Yeah, to be honest I forgot about the ISD when I posted that. But, as you said, the ISD does have a UCS model (and a damn fine one at that), so my point still stands. I want a UCS TIE Fighter, darn it. Quote

Clonie Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 We haven't had a minifig-scale TIE Fighter since 2005, which was the same as the original, almost. Seems like an UCS one is asking too much, haha. I guess they don't like it very much. I'd like a new one though, since they're making them in grey now. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 But heavy was dead when the droids attacked Kamino But TLG could still release 'dead' characters (like Nahdar Vebb, Onocanda Farr, as of late). But I highly doubt it, it would make more sense for TLG to release more prominent clone commanders (Gree, Neyo, Bacarra) than lesser-known named clones. Quote

You weren't very specific, but I guess it was sort of obvious. Anyways, Captain Jag has appeared as a named minifigure as well. We've also got the necessary parts for Bly and Thire, but they were never released as specifically named official minifigs. Quote

So I'd say Gree, Bly, and Thire have good possibilities that we'll see them in lego form in the near future, due to their appearance in the CW series. We could do without Neyo and Bacarra, Arealight will do that for us (the helmets). Edited September 27, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

(another possible set that Ki could be in) Sadly TLG let the opportunity pass of appropriately pairing Bly with Aayla in the CTT set. Now they might have to throw him 'randomly' in another set (like Fox in the Spider droid set). The Mygeeto bridge set looks like a good idea. This will include a UT-AT + Ki-Adi + Bacarra + a couple of those sweeit looking dark red 21st Nova Corps Galactic Marines, and will be similar in size with the 7675 AT-TE set. Quote
Skafte Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Warning: Rant ahead I am wondering if we will ever see another Padme/Amidala minifig. I came across this topic from early 2007 (3½ years ago), complaining that there are no Padmes since 1999. In the pics and rumours of the first wave of 2011 she is also missing. She is one of the lead characters of the PT and is also (apparently) seen quite a lot in the CW, and I just can't see why she doesn't show up in LEGO form. Is she not interesting enough? I say she is (come on, it's Natalie Portman! Luke and Leia's mother! Queen and senator, skilled with a blaster, falling off gunships, jumping around an arena in a ripped dress! A bit wimpy in ep III, though.) Does LEGO just make male SW figs lately? No. (2008-2010: Ahsoka, Aayla, Assaj, Barriss, Leiax2, Mon Mothma, Juno Eclipse.) Is Natalie Portman forbidding it? This was a theory I had a while back, but of course she can't have that kind of influence on what merchandise is sold. Also, Padme's appearances in CW totally kills that one. Is Lucasarts not allowing LEGO to make another fig? If so, why? On the other hand, they have made wierd desicions in the past. Is LEGO just evil and mean? (my best guess so far.) Or is it just coincidental that they haven't yet released another set where she would fit? That there was no room in the few PT sets lately? That they concentrate on other parts of the CW? Anyway, I for one would like a Padme/Amidala fig in flesh. Soon. Rant over. You can go about your business. Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I certainly agree with you Skafte, 101%! This is probably one of the gravest injustices in the history of lego star wars. I personally can't understand what TLG has against the honorable senator from Naboo that they haven't released any Padme fig yet. Heck, even the most sophisticated droid in the SW universe won't find the logic behind this anomaly. Quote

master windu 7495 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 and out of the mentioned sets, only ziro's bar is intended to be clone wars! or maybe the room where negotiations should have taken place in episode 1. this set would cost £9.99 and come with tc14, qui gonn and obi wan. then mace windu's starfighter. £24.99 as with most of the jedi starfighters and would come with clone wars mace windu and his astromech droid, r8b7.
