Walter Kovacs Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Mos Espa Podrace Includes 13 minifigures: Anakin Skywalker(young), Padme Amidala(young), Qui Gonn Jinn, Obi Wan Kenobi(Episode 1), Watto, Shmii Skywalker, C3PO, R2D2, Sebulba, Aldar Beedo, 2 Pit Droids and Jabba the Hutt. Features movie-accurate detail: three podracers, a viewing platform that moves up and down, some pits, Jabba's viewing platform with sliding doors and a starting gate with working 3,2,1,go lights. Requires 1 D battery. Costs £69.99 They already made this one, too. The MSRP was $90.00 USD, which is around 57 GBP, and it had only a fraction of those minifigs. I can't see all of those extra minifigs, the stands and power functions being added for a mere 12 GBP, so even if the set were to get a re-release, that price is FAR too low. And Palpy's arrest was one of the sets that were voted on a few years back. The Home One set was chosen and released, and the Slave I option is in the current wave (minus the promised landing platform; Cloud City playset, anyone? ), so there is hope that it could be coming soon. Might not be as grand as everyone expects, though. Quote

lightningtiger Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Interesting wish list 'master windu 7495', but Tusken Village where Skywalker goes nuts killing ....I don't think so - remember it's a kids toy.....then Ziro's Bar - now that one I do agree with ! Now I make my suggestion, the final battle between Vader and Luke with Palpatine looking on - of course we now who wins there and it's not Palpatine ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
kamigawa Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Mmmm, the Executor at that price would be impossible, unless we are talking about a sloppy midi-scale model. For an UCS executor they would have to make the set big enough to show all the towers on its top, otherwise it would just make no sense at all. The deck too, is an issue: they have to make the ship big enough in order to have it visible. Compared to the rest of the ship it is quite tiny. I even doubt they could make a midi-scale Executor without screwing up all the proportions just to show the deck. Quote
Future74 Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I would love to see some of those sets you mentioned master windu 7495, some great ideas I must say, but the number of minifigures you mention in the sets with the set itself compared to your 'wish' price is not very realistic for TLC and the starwars theme. Hopefully they do get inspired by these thoughts. Quote

Ritz Brick Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 All those suggested sets seem great, but there are way to many minifigs to be included. A geonosian arena will probably never be built due to the massive size it would have to be. But..here are my suggestions... Battle of Geonosis (similar to battle of naboo) Has one of the turrets (can't remember name. 5 Geonosians, 4 clones and a Jedi (unamed so you coould change him/her) Battle of Kashyyyk (Haven't thought of vehicle.)5 kashyyyk troopers (redone) 2 Wookies (redone) 5 BD's Quote

As I say all the time, when a new topic is created it bumps the rest down and one out; ignoring it isn't a solution. If no one replied to your post then maybe you're right; the topic is dead. But why you thought creating a new one around the exact same concept is quite beyond me. You just recently joined so it's understandable that you have loads of set ideas... but there's a good chance that others have already posted theirs. But don't worry; new people join EB everyday. Just be patient. I've merged the topics. Quote

Oddibossity Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) I reckon that the midi-scale is a FANTASTIC idea and would LOVE for TLG to introduce droids into the category. I reckon if Lego produced midi scale droids like the battle droid or destroyer droid then they would sell like wildfire. Imagine actually getting a proper Destroyer droid? The technic one 8002 was just fantastic, but a little too big and fiddly (and 10 years ago...). Neither of the minifig-scale ones have done any justice. So, yeah. MIDI-SCALE DROIDS! Even re-releases of the old technic SW droids would be cool... Edited October 9, 2010 by Oddibossity Quote
