Brickdoctor Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Yeah but still, makes like two $12.99 sets instead of one $30 set Then you have more packaging, more Billund air, and more work. That adds up to more money, so it's like two $14.99 sets instead of one $24.99 set. But I guess it'd be good for people who don't want to buy a lot a t once. Quote

K, so after some thought, if there ever was some kind of cloud city playset similar to the DS it would have to be something other than a super long set, or have it all on separate floors. So for each room, this is what I have thought of -Landing pad walkway where Han meets Lando -Darth Vader encounter room (A.K.A Dining room) -Carbon Freezing Chamber -Area where Luke and Darth fight with breakaway wall details. -Narrow walkway where the fighting continues. -Bedroom -Torture Room -Hallway(s) Minifigures: Han Solo, Han in Carbonite, Luke, Leia, Lobot, Lando, Chewie, R2, C3PO, Boba Fett, 1 Bespin Guard, Darth Vader, 4 stormtroopers, 2 Ugnaughts. 20 So far If anyone can think of any other minifigs that could be in there, go ahead and give us your thoughts Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Minifigures: Han Solo, Han in Carbonite, Luke, Leia, Lobot, Lando, Chewie, R2, C3PO, Boba Fett, 1 Bespin Guard, Darth Vader, 4 stormtroopers, 2 Ugnaughts. 20 So far You've only put down 18 figures. But, I do have some ideas too: E-3PO(the droid who meets 3PO before the latter is shot) and maybe an Imperial Officer like in the movie. If you added those two, you would have 20 minifigures. Fallenangel Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 How is Clone Wars better than The Clone Wars? Better action sequences, better script, better plot, better starship designs, less redundancy, less retcons, Asajj looks better, Grievous looks better, original V-19s, etc., etc... I said that because I want the entire body for R4-P17, not just the head of it, which seems entirely pointless to me, even if it is movie-accurate. Ok, I know the Zillo Beast, Tri Droid and Executor have already been suggested, but when were the others suggested? Lord Embo I'm not liking your tone there. Excuse me, but I just think it seems a little big-headed to go and ask whether any of one person's ideas were suggested in 80+ pages of suggestions of both Original Trilogy and Neo-Clone Wars fans alike. Especially ideas like a Mos Eisley cantina, which I have seen multiple times on multiple forums, and not just by coincidence. Tipoca City as well - apparently everyone wants some sort of large arena-type set like Geonosis, and since LEGO already carved up Hoth into 5 or 6 sets, it's time for something else. (This has probably already been suggested before, but I would actually prefer a Red Squadron X-wing with a turbolaser tower on a section of Death Star in the style of the Hoth battlepacks, as opposed to more huge land-battle sets. Not only cheaper but can be mass-purchased.) And I don't know, something's just not right about the way you've phrased the first statement. Even seeing the way LEGO has included extra stuff in their sets... and it's not pointless, including only R4-P17's head on Obi-wan's Delta-7 is not only movie-accurate but saves the cost of including the entire body including the leg molds (and/or the aesthetic quality of the ship itself since it won't have a mess of bricks on the underside to house the body, allowing for more freedom in the set design). And the 7143 Jedi starfighter is inaccurate enough as it is. On top of that, I will add that R4-P17's entire body is included - the whole fighter. An astromech droid's body is actually integrated into the Delta-7 and only its head is an external structure (perhaps because pilots appear to receive comfort from having another 'face' to look at and a 'voice' to listen to rather than just readings on a monitor =D). Personally I'm fine with only the R5 head piece being included on the actual set and even wish LEGO had done the same for other starships (the N-1 for example) rather than trying to cram a droid body into a starship design and losing both accuracy and aesthetic quality in the process. (Not unlike what they've done with the new V-wing...) I would love a small Yoda vs. Palpatine set. Perhaps if they only included the two minifigures and ONE Senate seat so they can toss it back and forth using the Force. An Obi-wan vs. Anakin set with only the platform and the droid is another option. (And of course, Luke vs. Vader with either the little platform Luke grabs onto or a couple of boxes for Vader to lob at him.) I really liked the idea of the Final Duel/ Jedi Defense sets and I really wish LEGO would make more small sets in that style rather than integrating those into the $100+ sets. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I said that because I want the entire body for R4-P17, not just the head of it, which seems entirely pointless to me, even if it is movie-accurate. You could just use the red body from the original ARC-170. Quote
brickbuilder Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 You could just use the red body from the original ARC-170. But that droid is just white with some red markings. I would use the dark red droid body from Ahsoka's starfighter. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 But that droid is just white with some red markings. I would use the dark red droid body from Ahsoka's starfighter. Yeah. Sorry, I was thinking of the version used in LSW1. Quote

General Magma Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) That sounds familiar.... Wouldn't it just be a reworked version of the old droid BP? Yes, but as far as I know, those are the only small CIS vehicles that appeared on Kashyyyk that don't have too many pieces to be put into a battlepack. Added that as an opponent to the Wookiee battlepack mostly, though.. ~ General Magma Edited November 14, 2010 by General Magma Quote

darkrebellion Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Read the forums regularly but I don't post so much so here are some ides I just thought: Boonta Eve Classic The set come with new redesigned versions of Sebulbas' Podracer, Anakin's Podracer, Gasgano's Podracer and Aldar Beedo's Podracer. The start/finish line can also be included using little details and a red/green light feature. The special features of each podracer would be: - Sebulba: Hidden saw and flamethrower in each engine and detachable cockpit. - Anakin: Detachable cockpit and movable engine in-takes. - Gasgano: Hidden blade and movable engine in-takes. - Aldar Beedo: Hidden weapon and small storage compartment. Minifigures: Sebulba, Gasgano, Aldar Beedo, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Padme Amidala (Young), Shimi Skywalker, Watto, 4 Pit Droids (Each personalized to it's racer), Fodesinbeed (Double-headed Guy). Accesories: 3 Canisters, 1 lightsaber, 4 flags. I don't really know why this vehicles are so particularly forgotten by the TLC and AFOLs alike. In my opinion one of the most visually impressive LEGO SW set the TLC has released was the Mos Espa Podracers and they are the first big SW set ever release, just imagine how great they will be if released by today's standards and techniques. Supersonic Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm sure this has been said before, but I didn't see it yet, so here we go: Acclamator-class Republic Assault ship. Bigger than the minifig ISD, with big rooms for weapons, troops etc. and 6 episode II clones (not TCW). Maybe a Clone Commander, a General of some kind or a new Jedi. Price 150-200$. @General Magma: They wouldn't call it Battle of Mygeeto, they'd call it UT-AT. Which is the most logical name, they didn't call the AT-TE with STAP Battle of Teth ;) Quote

Stegoceras Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I always though something generic might be cool, being able to fill in some of the emptier sets to your liking. The Set itself would consist of mini-figure parts so that you may decide which pieces to combine, enough to lets say put 4 mini-figure together and top the set of with a nice little vehicle. Like having a pack with different Jedi-related mini-figure parts (Legs, Torso, Head, headpiece) so you can put together 3-4 generic Jedi and having like a Jedi-speeder seen in EpIII to finish the set off. Then if you'd get a second set you could build a different combination of mini-figs. Countless possibilities, though I'm not so sure it would sell well due to the exclusion of any recognizable figures and probably the cost of making a bunch of new prints. Some examples: - Clone trooper, having different marking on the parts of similar color, so you can create unique clones. - Cantina Patrons - Bounty hunters and other scum - Mandalorians (I want colored ones) - well, probably a few dozen more ideas, but none at the top of my head at the moment. I hope the idea is understandable for you guys/gals, It's sort of a variation on the battle-packs and it's probably never going to happen, but I'd think it be cool. Quote

Ritz Brick Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 how about a series of order 66 playsets? I think I remember reading something like this, but some more detail. 1. Utapau Commander Cody (Phase 2), Obi Wan, Boga. -Possibly some kind of cannon to represent the AT-TE, maybe a sinkhole. 2. Battle of Mygeeto Ki Adi Mundi, Bacara, 3 Nova corps troopers, 2 super battle droids -Section of Bridge, 2 Tri Droids, (that Republic thing that gets blowed up). 3.Betrayal on Felucia Includes Aayla, Bly, 3 327th troopers (or regular phase 2 troopers) -Some plant life, maybe AT-AP 4. Saleucami Includes Stass Allie, Commander Neyo and CT-3423 -2 BARC speeders and the Z7? 5. Kashyyyk Yoda, Gree, 41st Scout, Chewie and Wookie Commander Lookout with chairs and all that jazz 6. Jedi Temple Hooded Anakin, 4 501st troopers, 2+? Padawwan. I excluded the death of Plo Koon due to the fact that those vehicles have already been controlled. Due to the new figures that would be in these sets, it could be some kind of special promotion where one is released each month. Side Note: Wouldn't it make sense in the movie for Commander Gree to be on the battlefield? Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I'd like the Xanadu Blood! Minifigs: Cad Bane, Todo 360, Quinlan Vos and Obi Wan Kenobi(CW). Also includes a rock pillar. More ideas soon to come! Lord Embo Quote
Matiam92 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 2. Battle of Mygeeto Ki Adi Mundi, Bacara, 3 Nova corps troopers, 2 super battle droids -Section of Bridge, 2 Tri Droids, (that Republic thing that gets blowed up). That would be an AT-UT All Terrain-Unstable Transport Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 That would be an AT-UT All Terrain-Unstable Transport Actually, it's UT-AT. Quote
