Fives Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Ok, there is ANOTHER preview for Season 4 of the CW on SW.com, and people are going to be very happy: PHASE II CLONES!!!!!!! The Wolfpack troopers have a new look! Plus, there was a shirtless Kit Fisto and a new Jedi: a Basilisk (same species as Dexter Jettster) with two DOUBLE BLADED lightsabers, one green and one blue! I know that many of you here dislike the CW, but this will be FREAKING AWSOME! (sorry for all the capitalized words, I'm just so excited!) XimenaPaulina Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Really excited by the upcoming new season Fives huh? Knowing that the CW series is regular source of SW sets, we could expect to see the re-introduction of Phase 2 clones in the sets, and most likely a Phase 2 Clone BP. With regards to other possible sets, the Z-95-like starfighter in the trailer looks to be a good potential mid-sized set. And getting Mon Calamaris and that new Besalisk (not Basilisk) jedi are good possibilities too for the CW line. Quote

The Mon Calamarians will probably get a small set for themselves, possibly with a shirtless Fisto to fight along side with them. Then the new clones will be put into BPsfor sure, and as for that Z-95-like starfighter, I believe that those two ships are just ARC-170s, or are you refering to the ship in between them that can't really be identified? Mr Man Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Phase II clones at last. I think they will use a new mold not the one from the swamp speeder, to get that CW look. The Mon Calamari sets seems likely due to the existing Mon Cal heads, however the Besalisk Jedi will require a whole new mold, and not just for the head, so not so possible. (Grr have to wait until autumn). Quote

It would have to be a new mold, but they could do something similar to the Samukai skeleston from the Ninjago theme. He had a normal skelie torso, but then his head also had shoulders attached where two more arms go. The could do something along the lines of this. I restricts playability on the fig a bit, but it would still look awesome. Quote

Fives Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Do you think that if they make a Besalisk mold they will make a Dexter's Diner set? Possibly. I've always wanted one since the first LEGO SW video game in 2005. But, It isn't an iconic or action packed scene, so they probably wouldn't. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I would really love to see that scene. I wouldn't be that hard. There has been a Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, and IG-88. There would be two new molds: 4-LOM and Zuckuss. Quote

There would be two new molds: 4-LOM and Zuckuss. Except no one would want it. There's no action in it, no flashy ships, just a couple guys kids would be bored with. We'd love it, but remember- TLG is aimed more for kids. Quote

We'd love it, but remember- TLG is aimed more for kids. I think you are right on that one! This scene is cool because it has all of these bounty hunters, but other than that, it is pretty boring. Also, I hope TLG doesn't release the new Fett in any other set than his Slave 1 (minus magnets and keychains) and same for Bossk because then their exclusivity remains. And I am afraid that we will probably never see Zuckuss or 4-LOM. Heck, they're so unimportant they are at the end of the line! Quote

We'd love it, but remember- TLG is aimed more for kids. Given how many kids would buy a $100+ set for a cool or rare minifigure, an Executor bridge set would sell pretty well. Remember though that all of these bounty hunters were pretty important in Shadows of the Empire, so this could be alongside the Outrider, Hound's Tooth, Virago, and IG-2000. (As well as some swoops, of course.) Quote

Crix Madine was an important character? You'd be surprised what OT sets would sell considering the parents are holding all the money. Quote
Vindice Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I've only just started to collect lego SW as my oldest boy had been more into HP and City. Unsurprisingly he is more drawn to the new clone wars sets than the OT. In view of this does anyone think they will re-release the AT-TE and republic gunships anytime soon? I don't want to pay exhorbitant ebay prices for these sets and i'm not overly keen on the clone turbo tank. Sorry if i'm asking something that has been asked before. Quote

There was a six year gap between the first two gunships, (and the AT-TEs were released around the same times; 5 years apart) so you're looking at a 2013-2014 release at the soonest, and that's only if they play a major part in some popular storyline at that time. The prices are pretty high, $215 for a MISB gunship on Bricklink and $195.95 Used and Complete, so you might want to try acquiring all the pieces separately and downloading the instructions from TLG's site. Or buy a bunch of other sets and build one yourself.* *Keeping Neo-Clone Wars away from your kid helps too. In general, I can say that most kids will stop wanting a toy within a month or two of not getting it. And the series isn't that great anyway. Quote
Mr Man Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 And the series isn't that great anyway Yes it Is Some of the CW sets (AT-OT) are realy good Quote
Aethersprite Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 If we do get Fisto again, I'm praying for a new head mold, even if it means a CW face. The current one is absolutely horrendous. Still, good to see Phase II clones finally appearing, been waiting for them for a very long time. If we do get Fisto again, I'm praying for a new head mold, even if it means a CW face. Throw the Boussh Leia in there and I'd say you have the holy trinity of unreleased OT minifigs. Quote

It would also be great for certain Star Trek aliens eh Breen . 4-LOM would be easy, dark Protocol droid body Which TLG already has and a insectoid head, I'm sure with all the space, and alien sets they have a insect head don't they?, I suppose a repainted geonosian head might do. Shawn Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 If you watch ebay for the older versions that can be had for under $100 if you do not want the figures. Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I'd love to see - Yavin Base (like the one in the visual dictionary) - a revamped Cloud City - a (rerelease of the) Imperial Star Destroyer without any particular order. Quote
Commander Keller Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Mhhm a new ISD would be a nice set...I really miss the continuity with the newer sets. I mean jabbas palace had like three or four little sets that could be made into recreating the scene. If they did something similar to that I think it would make a lot of people happy and we would purchase more sets. Quote
lefty Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 A Moldy Crow set would be really cool. Dark tan would be a perfect color, as well as Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors figs. And maybe a gran for Kyle to fight! It's probably not likely at all to ever happen, seeing as how if TLG were to do a set based on a game they would probably do The Force Unleashed since it's somehow so popular Quote

Some eight years. It wouldn't be a far shot to have them updated with newer bricks, moulds and equipment. Quote
Piranha Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Yes I agree, we need more scaled capital ships. What are the Venator and ISD supposed to have a space battle with? A good start would be Home One or Generic Mon Calamari Cruiser $100-200 1000 + parts Invisible Hand or similar CIS captial ship $100-200 1000+ parts Quote
