simonjedi Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 A Moldy Crow set would be really cool. Dark tan would be a perfect color, as well as Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors figs. And maybe a gran for Kyle to fight! It's probably not likely at all to ever happen, seeing as how if TLG were to do a set based on a game they would probably do The Force Unleashed since it's somehow so popular Jedi Knight BRO I like the way you think. Jerec would be a good, easy to make Villain. I'm surprised we haven't had Mara Jade or Thrawn Minifigures. They are probably the most iconic EU characters. (Y'know for being good characters rather than Berks like Jacen Solo) I would like the ~£15 sets back BP's are good but which are good, but I'd rather have other sets. We can get £10 minifig packs (with a few bricks to shut hasbro up) then £25+ sets. The V-wing really should have been ~£15, Lego should release a few cheap swoosh able ships (like the upgraded A-wing from Home 1, or a small EU set) or updates on sets that aren't really worth re-releasing at an expensive price points (Cloud cards e.c.t) Quote

Both the BON and V-Wing should have been £15 (I would have bough them then ). The thing about EU sets is the fact that getting fans to agree on which parts of the EU they like best and want to see sets from is hard, some might like Jedi Knight, some The Old Republic, and getting them to agree so TLG can make and produce lots of sets will be hard. Piranha Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 CW: $Free (like TRU polybag promo w/purchase) -$200 Some set that incorporates a Camo ARF w/printed arms & legs Quote
Fallenangel Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Since this thread is so redundant we should make another Future Sets thread where a member's idea (e. g. UCS Venator) would be put on a poll and instead of thirty people saying the same thing they can just second the vote. This way LEGO (because we know they're reading this) will also be able to see which Future Set ideas are the most popular. As for printed camo ARF... please, no. The ARF has done absolutely nothing to deserve it.( Fett was iconic.) Quote
Piranha Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 As for printed camo ARF... please, no. The ARF has done absolutely nothing to deserve it.( Fett was iconic.) That is not the point though, if that was true, Vader should have printed legs and arms then. However I do like when it remains something not done everyday or in every set. Or a mod (or another member) for example could start a new topic with the first post (s) with the ideas so far in a list w/ no additional blah like: Hoth Battle EP2 Slave 1 etc Quote
simonjedi Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I know Battlepacks go PT -> OT -> PT, but wouldn't it make sense for next years BP to be PT focused (Because of AotCs 10th anniversary?) Something like Ep2 clones vs Geonosis battle droids and Geonosians and have 2013's BP something based on Jedi? (It is Jedi's 30th) Quote

With something as relatively ordinary as a variety of clone trooper (and not even the somewhat more well-known 501st trooper) having arm and leg printing, it just loses its flair. Quote

Something like Ep2 clones vs Geonosis battle droids and Geonosians and have 2013's BP something based on Jedi? (It is Jedi's 30th) With TPM 3D being published next year, some PT sets are to be expected. OOM battle droids in the design the trade federation would be a first guess (especially security with red and command with yellow torso). Personally i do hope for more OT sets. As for possible BPs, i would love to see a rebel set (1 commando, 2 rebel scout troopers and 1 'rebel friend') would be nice. The empire might counter with 2 stormies, 1 sandie and 1 army trooper (sunglasses). Apparently i missed 2008's BPs which have become a rarity already. Quote
The Legonater Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 If we get a TPM BP, I'm really hoping for some Naboo Security troopers, and not a bunch of Gungans. Though some more Kaadu would be nice. Quote

The Legonater Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 That's what we all say, but apparently TLG doesn't think that way. I see it this way: Endor BPs next year, and if we get EP.1 Bps, it'll be next year, then EP.2 BPs a couple eyars later, around the time of 3D release. Next year will hopefully be a strange mix of EP. 1, 2 and 6. Quote

Agreed As for the battle packs, I wonder if the lack of AOTC sets is because of the CW, (which it most likely it is) It is a bit frustrating because I want to see a large potential of sets from EP2. Jango Fett's Slave 1 $80 New Jango Fett, new young boba, new flesh EP2 Obi wan, landing pad fight area & of course slave 1. Geonosis Battle scenes, various sets or one larger condensed play set. flesh normal print count dooku, new jango fett, mace windu, new droideka, SBDs, new padme, anakin and obi etc. Quote

I'm going to have to go with StoutFiles on this one. Although I won't deny that Mara Jade and Thrawn were pretty good characters, they have never struck me as icons of the Star Wars universe any more than characters from other Expanded Universe lit. Even characters like Xizor from Shadows of the Empire or any of the Executor bounty hunters are obscure compared to characters from the films. If you keep in mind that LEGO sells to kids, it's not surprising that a set based on a starfighter from a 90's PC game wouldn't sell very well, because none of the kids would recognize it. (Of course, with their parents it might be a different story...) Quote

the teutonic knight Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 My request is simple. World peace! *sweet* Since that is unlikely that mankind can achieve that, I suggest the following so I may enforce it: each with 5 minfigs... 1)327 Star Corps; Commander Bly and Crew, with General Secura, with AT-TE support. $80 2)9th Assult Corp: Commander Gree (with head) and squad, Yoda, wookies, new Clone Turbo tank $90 3)7th Sky Corp: Yup; Cody, Kenobi, RGS $90 4)21st Nova: Baccara and Ki-Adi-Mundi, Jedi Star fighter, At-AP $70 5)91st Recon: BARC troopers, need I say more... ok.. and Neyo with Stasis Allie. $50 6)501st: Since there is no canonical Commander of the 501st before order 66, I submit in all humbleness... Commander Jax, with Jedi Master Quinlan Vos... and a new carrier craft, a hybrid child of an RGS mixed with Imperial landing craft. $70 Since some of the afore mention craft have been slated for release already this year, I suggest the same in kind as battle pack with their Jedi counterparts, with cheesy... yet not cheesy, speeder bikes done in each of the main color scheme of their respective corps. If this is not possible... then just the 501st! I would absolutely buy EVERY SINGLE ONE of these. Quote
Fives Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 I have an idea that could get 501st clones out. Bail Organa's red speeder from ROTS. Set could be about $24.99 CAD, come with Bail Organa, that Jedi who jumps out and kills some of the clones on the platform (I forget his name, but he was played by George Lucas's son), and 2 501st clones. Now, I know that only 2 clones is not as many as most people would want, and at 24.99, that a lot of money for an ok set with some great clones. But! TLG could then release a BP with all 501st clones, and possibly come out with a generic Jedi BP (maybe two human, two alien) to fight Vader's Fist. Quote

Zett Jukassa. It's not a bad idea; not like Coruscant speeders haven't been done before. The only issue would be that it's not a major vehicle, so TLG would have to pick a time to release it (Sith 3D release?) when people would be aware of it. Quote
dmemmi Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Modular Acclamator Class Assault Ship $119.99 Duel on the Invisible Hand $39.99 Duel on Mustafar $89.99 Order 66 series(Multiple sets)$9.99-$39.99 Kamino Cloning Faciliy $89.99 Battle of utapau $69.99 None of this is clone wars Quote

It was the last name that was throwing me off, because it is similar to Jocasta Nu, and they were both seen together in the Jedi Archives in AOTC. Ya, they would need to release it then. It would make most sense. I would like to see the speeder done in LEGO. I would imagine it being very sleek and smooth. It would be nice to see more Coruscant civilian speeders. Quote
lefty Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 A green coruscant taxi with a couple aliens would be cool. Someone made a pretty good model for the rides contest that looks like the taxi. Quote
simonjedi Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 (edited) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_turbo_speeder I found this ship while browsing Rebelscum. I think it looks good enough for a cheap ~£20 set. 2 figures and a new Astromech. Edited May 8, 2011 by simonjedi Quote
StoutFiles Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 It's funny when people list prices next to their wishlists, as if prices haven't been incredibly high for years and going up every year. Quote
